early flight so didn't have breakfast but dinner on the previous evening was very good, decently priced wine list

This is a great hotel though you need a taxi to get there from the airport. I really like staying here but felt ripped off this time as I didn't realize having paid for the breakfast that the kitchen only opens at 5 am and I had to leave for my flight at 4:30 a.m. and no refund was available unfortunately. They offered to bag my a breakfast to take with me but when I got to reception there was nothing and no one there! They have a handy affordable airport shuttle service here - just be sure to book it in advance. Otherwise this is a great venue and their famous warm cookie on arrival with a hot cuppa is wicked :)

They do a great breakfast here - was so sad to miss it.

Walking distance from airport, much easier than needing to take shuttle or taxi. Nice, clean hotel with spacious rooms and friendly staff.

Excellent quality breakfast with lots of choice. Gluten free breads available. Great location for my airport terminal (T 3) and the train/bus station. Airport shuttle available but I chose to walk. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms.

I stayed for two nights and the first night was quite noisy with people coming and going with doors opening and closing. The second night was fine. I ate a gluten free pizza from the bar menu which was very disappointing. It had very little overcooked topping and tasted like cardboard.

We had to stay at the hotel because our flight was cancelled. When we arrived it was very frantic and there was a queue out of the door because so many other people had cancelled flights. The staff where fab. They brought biscuits out for everyone stood out in the cold which was a lovely thing to do. The staff were so busy, but they had time to welcome everyone and where very kind and friendly. Its horrible when you're expecting to go on holiday and instead you end up spending the night at Manchester airport, but my family and I agreed that the staff brightened up what was a miserable experience. I imagine that the staff where very busy and overloaded with the amount of people that turned up, but they didn't show it. Thanks for being a bright spot in a pretty miserable flight experience

Staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was a little bit cold, despite having the heating on full. The worst thing was the minibus shuttle to the airport. It didn’t arrive on time, then a load of airline staff pushed ahead of us even though we’ve been waiting for 10 minutes. When I arrived back, my flight was delayed meaning that I didn’t land until 1 am and I had to walk back to the hotel from terminal three. I didn’t mind the walk so much but I had to cross over several very busy roads with the suitcase, which was quite hairy.

So much more than an airport hotel. Lovely, attentive, profesional and friendly staff. Warm cookies on demand! Bottled water available from Reception upon request. Room was a good size. Bed was incredibly comfy. SO quiet considering you are right next door to the airport. There is a very, very, low rumble as a plane takes off but barely noticeable. Breakfast was superb. Plenty of choice. Fried eggs and omlettes cooked to order. Also ate in the restaurant one evening - very nice. Attended a ball at the hotel where, again, the food was very good. Food in restaurant reasonably priced for the laocation. Drinks are expensive - but guess not just used to those London type prices!

Parking - £17 a night but doesn't guarantee a space. Admittedly, it seemed acceptable to park on double yellow lines etc as long as no-one was blocked in and access was still possible. But, clearly, some cars are parked there while the owner jets off somewhere. I am a blue badge holder. The four blue badge spaces were taken up all four days by the same four cars that clearly didn't move. In fact, we returned to the hotel a week later for a workshop, and one of the cars was still there, in exctly the same position. That's over ten days. Presumably this also applies to other, non blue badge cars too.

The room was excellent and comfortable. Unfortunately the fire alarm went off at 3am which spoilt our night, and it turned out to be a false alarm. The evening meal we had was reasonable but nothing to get excited about.

Booked to park the car here for the duration of our stay, and booked a transfer with the Car Park People as directed by the front desk staff. We weren't told that the Car Park People only operate up to 9pm at night and the online booking form took our return pick up for 8:50pm and took the fee. When we arrived back at Manchester Airport we were 1hr late. The Car park people didn't turn up and we had to pay for a Taxi to take us to the Hotel for our car.

I booked this hotel for its proximity to the train station and their airport. It is probably a bit more of a faff to get to from the station and airport than the map suggests due to the lack of road crossing opportunities so bear that in mind if you are with young children or have heavy bags. The hotel staff are really exceptional given this is an airport hotel (so I would anticipate less incentive to encourage repeat bookings) - but all were so polite chatty and helpful. We had both dinner and breakfast. I wouldn't expect it to be cheap and the cost of the food was airport pricey but the quality was good and the menu wider than I expected. The room was large which is great and unexpected.

Probably just the annoying walk from the airport which on the way meant walking further with heavy bags to get to the proper crossing and on the way back meant a bit of a dicey dash with suitcases across a busy road.
