Location was excellent the buffets are amazing

but the staff is horrible they literally ask for tips or they let you know is constantly other wise they don’t serve you in the good way or make wait long time .. I always give tips but not bcz some ask ,you have to earned Another thing my daughters and I reserved in 2 of the restaurant that they offer and is a disaster what ever you order they bring you something different to your order we really regret those day to don’t go to the buffet is the best opción so don waste time in the restaurant .. service are super bad ..

The room service, bell boy, food courts and waiters all we're exceptional. The only issue I encounter is that after long flight, my room was not ready till 3:30 to 4:00 pm where as I reached there at 1:00 pm and requested early check in. The front desk was asking 10$ cash per person to get the room early. That seems to me unethical and I did not pay. Due to that probably I did not get the room on time and initial room number was changed to a different room. I think management should focus on check in service as it seems folks get treated if they are willing to bribe.

The beach is great, the rooms are really big, we paid extra for the platinum services which I cannot recommend more, you get better rooms, access to a private beach, better quality drinks, and a dedicated buffet restaurant where the food quality was better. Bathroom is huge and super comfortable. The bartenders are great, as well as the staff at restaurants. They are truly super friendly and do a good job.

The guest services and front desk staff are really not good at their jobs. Everything is done in a very mediocre manner, almost as if they are doing you a favor. It really is not pleasant. It is a shame as the rest of the staff are very friendly. The food at the restaurants is NOT good. Even the platinum only restaurants had horrible almost inedible food. I have never been at a resort where the food was this terrible. The buffet is semi-decent but still something they should really work on.

We stayed in Grand Bavaro Princess for 14 nights. The hotel has beautiful facilities and territory. The beach cleaning staff work very hard to clean it from the seaweed that's continuously coming with waves. So, the beach was the cleanest comparing to the neighbor hotels. We loved that there're many different restaurants for dinner. Though, a few of them are good. Also, we upgraded to a Platinum level. And it was the best decision that made our stay much better.

There're some minor things that didn't satisfy us: 1 Too soft beds; 2 Mosquitoes coming from a sink continuously (the staff applied some spray but it didn't help at all), we had this problem in a Platinum suite; 3 A few staff were impolite and wanted to make money on us (especially, be careful with the towel center staff).

Food was delicious, lots of variety to choose from. Dinner menu changed daily. The steak was amazing and grilled to order! I especially loved the food trucks on the beach especially the yellow car truck. Best rum and frozen pineapple drinks ever. The entire staff was super friendly, very accommodating and they worked very very hard to ensure that you’re having a great experience. It was my birthday excursion and GBP did not disappoint. Best birthday ever. I will be returning!

Only complaint, there was no hot water only lukewarm. With the humility, I got used to showering with no hot water

Can't make dinner reservation on first night?? THATS TOTAL GARBAGE. Limited hot water. Room fridge and drinks was hot upon arrival

The property was beautiful and extremely clean, I liked that the staff were really nice. I enjoyed staying in the premium section of the resort, you’re offered more restaurants. Our room was really nice and it was a great location being close to the beach, I would really recommend you get a room close to the beach.

There were a couple of things I didn’t like... firstly the water pressure in the shower was not strong and there were a lot of mosquitoes in the room, I was constantly trying to kill them. The app that they tell you about in which you’re supposed to make restaurant reservations with was not working so you would have to go to the front desk every time you want to make a reservation and the line was long. A lot of restaurants won’t let you go in or you have to wait a really long time if you don’t have a reservation. Another item is that the train some times takes long to come and is usually fully packed making you wait for the next one. Lastly, nobody ever answers the phone when trying to call reception, it was really annoying.

This review is going to be completely honest, with pros and cons found when we stay 14 night in the platinum honeymoon suite. Contrary to reviews I had read the staff at this resort is very friendly and attentive, the room was comfortable and a lot bigger than other hotels, the bed was super comfy (round bed), housekeeping was very on point (especially Beatriz) in charge of room 5522, restocking of minibar was never lacking (thanks to Winso), bedsheets and towels could use an update but were abundant none the less, definitely recommend to go platinum for room selection since you will be at a comfortable walking distance from the beach and room service is included for platinum members, a la carte restaurant reservation is also another benefit of going platinum. The hotel has many restaurants with different types of food, definitely recommend Wasabi, Hacienda and Soho (Platinum exclusive). Food in some restaurants are hit and miss (like El Gaucho) but menu has options, all restaurants have a dress but many guest choose not to respect it and staff is pretty much obligated to oblige them. The hotel is very big and well maintained, it has a ecological park if you enjoy being in contact with nature I definitely recommend this hotel. The fact the its so big makes the trolleys absolutely necessary unfortunately they don't have many of them, especially at peak evening hours so sometimes a 20 minute wait will happen since trolleys that do come by are packed with guest. Since this hotel is so big wifi reception is sometimes faulty, the hotel could benefit from another internet central tower closer to the platinum area. The platinum pool is small and often crowded with loud guests using personal speakers which shouldn't be allow but management does nothing to remedy this. The beach is very pretty and although we went in sargasso season hotel maintenance does everything possible to keep it clean.
