This was our second stay at Hotel Le Castel. We loved the size and view from our room so much that we booked again this year, however didn’t pay enough attention to the room details. This time round our room faced the main road with constant traffic instead of the wonderful balcony with Mountain View we had last time. Highly recommended if you room goes out the way where the restaurant terrace is, if you’re on the other side it’s just noisy and quite stressful. Plus the room was super small but I understand that was down to the room category.

A lovely hotel, very charming with a spacious beautiful room (room #1) and a big bathroom, very unusual for ski resort hotels at any level. Benoit was an awesome and warm host, kind and attentive at all times. We loved our stay at Hotel le Castel. Breakfast was homey and fresh. Great location with a 45-second walk to Flagere gondola and the bus stop at our doorstep! Highly recommended.

I would have loved some frech toast or pancakes for breakfast.

A very nice hotel in a fantastic location with great views of Mont Blanc. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable. Bathroom was large with nice towels and amenities.

It was hard to find the door to this hotel. It is not facing the street, there isn't a sign pointing the way, you enter through the conservatory that is part of the restaurant and facing away from the parking lot. This might be an issue if guests are not expecting to have to bring luggage across the street and around to the other side of the hotel.

The rooms were very spacious and the bathroom was fabulous. We loved the mirror which had a built in TV. The balcony looked directly at the Mont Blanc Massif (Room9). The hotel was incredibly clean and classy. The staff were attentive and worked hard to ensure our stay was first class. The breakfast was really enjoyable but you only got eggs and bacon if you wanted hot food.

Excellent location outside of the busy Chamonix city center, (the bus stop across the street takes you to the city center in 7 minutes and is free), located right at the foot of a ski lift that takes you to great mountain hiking and is directly across the street from a beautiful golf course. The staff is super friendly and the hotel has an excellent restaurant, at which we ate several times. Room #10 was spacious and well appointed, with nice views, but facing away from Mont Blanc. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom modern, with a good shower.

Upon arrival, and late at night, we discovered a clogged drain in the shower that flooded the bathroom, but the staff cleaned up the mess and fixed it the next morning. They went out of their way to ensure we were happy.

One of the coolest hotels I've stayed at. They have music playing downstairs with a live deejay, and the staff Jade was really friendly and amazing. Room is very comfortable and big. They even provided me a huge hot tub! You could see the mountains while bathing (there's an attic window in the bathroom). Water, coffee and tea provided everyday. Hotel is very near to La Flagere gondola, it's just a short walk away. Bus stops to the main town, or to Le Tour are just directly outside the hotel. So convenient! Hotel also has a drying room for the ski boots, and to store the ski gear. I really love the place. Thank you once again Jade! Hope to come back some day!

Bed wasn't a true double bed. Can't sleep in the centre. Cleaning person a bit slow, always forgets to top up toiletries or change towels. There's no lift, so you have to lug your heavy bag up and down the narrow stairs.

Loved the room facing mt blanc! It is so worth the extra money, with the balcony and all. Lovley room with all you need! The first days we also got crossaints for free in the morning, in the reception- a very nice treat. Very nice location outside chamonix.

Traffic noise! Roads on all sides of the hotel. The hotel cant fix that, its just how it is.

Fantastic location with gorgeous views, scenery and beauty! The aria was very quiet and relaxing. The restaurant - top quality and absolutely delicious! We were served by very nice and helpful people, real professionals. The room was unique!!! With all the comfort, luxury and facilities that you can expect and even more! Excellent!

The room was very comfortable and excellent value for money. The restaurant offered great food and wine, and the view of Mont Blanc illuminated by the setting sun was beautiful. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location was perfect - there was easy parking close by and the neighbourhood was quiet.

There really was nothing I did not like.

The hotel restaurant was very good.

Breakfast was very basic. It would be OK if they charged half of what they did, but for the requested €18 it was inadequate. We only had it the first morning, after which we had breakfast elsewhere.
