It's like a magic house in the middle of the woods, staff and breakfast were great and the bed so comfortable.

They turn off the lights of the common areas at 10pm

I stayed in one of the dormitories, however you can use the lounge in the main house. It's a bargain as you feel like you're in a hotel for a fraction of the price. The house is a 30 minute walk from the centre of Chamonix. The walk is not along the main road so is quite pleasant. There's also a very cheap bus every 30 minutes or so. The location is stunning and you can ski to the door.

I really love this place (I stayed an extra day), but I want to be honest. The toilet in the dormitory is tiny, I couldn't sit down with the door closed. There is a another toilet near the lounge in the main building that's larger though.

1. Breakfast was good, and just in case someone is also interested in the dorm: shampoo, soap, and towels are included. 3. 30 mins walk from downtown is acceptable, there is also a bus stop nearby. 4. Located in a quiet area, near to a trail to Mer de glace.

There are two dorms, and mine is the one on the left. 1. The toilet door lock in our dorm was broken, I had to use the toilet in the lobby/restaurant. 2. Not sure if there's a water pipeline issue in our room or something else, but the sound of running water happened once a while (it's certainly not from the river behind). A bit annoying.

Would have been good to have curtains over bunk beds for privacy

Stayed in a bunk room, very clean and tidy. Absolutely excellent breakfast with good coffee and selection of food.

The bunk rooms are not set up for early risers- I needed to wake up at 6am both mornings and the toilet and shower are tiny rooms within the bunk room. This makes it impossible to be quiet so I ended up using the public toilet in the main breakfast area in the morning to brush my teeth and wash my face/get dressed. I also found it extremely difficult to find at night, as there is no light-up signage from the road, only what appears to be a cycling path. There is a good sign in the day time.

Stunning area and only a 6 minute bus ride to town or a really pretty 25 minute flat terrain walk by the river. Access to some nice short hikes/walks from the hostel carpark too and the town is lovely with lots of restaurants and cafes though I ate at a restaurant walking distance from the hostel which was delicious. Good breakfast, nice staff and would definitely stay again as was close enough to town but felt like you were really in nature. Also the bunks are built in so don't move around when someone climbs up or down which is a bonus.

Nothing major but just to be aware that the toilet in the dorm room is tiny. But the main building is a short walk so you can just use that. The shower was small but functional and water was hot with some toiletries provided. Room was quite hot at night with 6 of us in the room but overall I had a good night's sleep!

Nice hostels with plenty of common spaces, both indoor and outdoor. You can enjoy mountain views right from their garden. There are also some hiking, running or cycling trails nearby (and a paragliding place!). The dormitry is equipped with a tiny shower room and a toilet, not very clean but acceptable. Towel and toiletries are provided. There are signs saying that no hiking boots allowed in the room, so the rooms are kept relatively clean. Each bed has sockets and a small lamp, which is quite thoughtful. The breakfast is quite standard but nice enough to prepare youself for a long hiking day.

The hostel is 2km away from Chamonix center, but you can take a No.2 bus, whose stop is very close to the hostel. However, there are only 2 bus per hour and they are usually not quite on time. So could be troublesome if you miss one.

Breakfast was good with lots of different options for both vegetarians as well as Non-vegetarians. It is located next to a stream and has lots of beautiful walking paths starting from there. Many good restaurants are nearby and it also has an inhouse restaurant so you can relax and have Dinner at the same place where you are staying. It is close to the Chamonix Lez Praz Station and also to La Flegere Gondola & L'Index Lift. You can also walk for about 15-20 minutes to Chamonix Mont Blank conveniently from there. Staff was very friendly and good. Room had all the necessary amenities with a balcony facing the mountains.

It is located in 5-10 minutes from Chamonix. It has bus stop nearby which can ride you to the most popular ski resorts. Hotel owns free private parking, which is good, because in Chamonix all the parkings are paid. Breakfast is nice, views are ok - not the best you can see there

We lived in second house on the ground floor. It was a bit noisy because of thin walls. House is located near railway, so be aware of trains which go on regular basis starting from ~08:00

A perfect location in the forest at the foot of trails. Ample parking and really easy to get into Chamonix. Our room was really spacious and we were very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were great and the staff were all really helpful and accommodating.

We have no criticisms other than having more options without meat on the menu for dinner. We had fondue one night but we had to go out the second night as we didn’t want to have fondue or raclette again and the salad was not available either night. We did not want to have soup for dinner.
