The location is perfect—steps away from the heart of the town or a short walk to mountain trails. Restaurants are as close as next door or all over the village. We especially enjoyed the river out our door, fabulous mountain views and a garden courtyard to enjoy our coffee and croissants in the morning. Having a coffee and water machine available 24/7 was a nice plus. And our reception hostess (from Ireland) couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful! While the facility isn’t a 4 or 5 star place, it’s a great place to stay!

There was only ONE electrical outlet in our room—in the bathroom! Definitely need to provide more plugs or USB outlets in the room itself.

The property was just so charming; right in the heart of Chamonix. We loved the alpine feel of the place and the room itself was so cosy. The facilities were great and lots to offer; including free access to water & coffee at reception all day. Breakfast is available at an additional cost and was delicious with plenty of options. We had a room with a balcony which was a great touch as we could hear the river passing by which was so relaxing. The staff we spoke to were lovely too. Would recommend to anyone staying in Chamonix or just passing through like us.

The only thing was that there was no fridge or kettle in the room; but this isn’t major.

The 3 bedroom apartment was conveniently located, spacious and comfortable with a small balcony overlooking a green area. The kitchen was well outfitted with glassware, flatware, dishes, and pots and pans. The downstairs bathroom had a nice bathtub and separate WC. Thr upstairs shower was spacious as was the WC. TV and cable connectivity were good. The towels were large and of high quality. The beds were very comfortable. My family and grandchildren were dlighted with the apartment which provided a nice sanctuary from all the tourists.

I was greatful for use of a loaner bicycle, even though the coaster brakes were less than ideal for riding in the moutains. I would have liked to have a better view of the mountains.

The location was great. It was at the edge of the main business section of Chamonix, but was very quiet. You could easily walk to any of the local restaurants and businesses. The room was cute and had enough space to spread out. The courtyard area was great for having a snack or a drink from the bar (which had great prices on wine) while hearing the rushing river with the impressive mountains as a backdrop. The always available coffee, espresso, hot chocolate, and hot water machine was really handy, and the beverages were tasty. Each afternoon they had pastries for a snack. Onsite parking was easy and convenient. The staff was wonderful and spoke great English. We also highly recommend the Neapolis restaurant that is right next to the hotel. The pizza and pasta are great.

Location excellent, bedroom good size, comfortable and clean. Some English TV channels. Nice lounge area. Bar prices good value. Nice welcome message and slippers for Xmas stay. Good value for time of year and location.

Bathrooms need an update and fitments need updating. Shower was over bath but no wall hook so had to hold over yourself. Bathroom window could not be shut securely - had to keep roller blind down to let in air to cool bedroom securely day or night. Inspite of turning off radiators the room was very warm due to water pipes in the wall cupboards/ wardrobes. Quite poor sound insulation so can you hear all guests in rooms above/ in the corridors/ up and down the stairs. Plumbing issue meant water was brown when trying to run a bath one evening but was ok for hand basin.

Great location - short walk to the button lift where you can ultimately go up to the Brevent ski area. shops and restaurants all within 5 minute walk. Our room had a lovely view of the review and mountains. Staff were nice - and they were there 24/7 so it was easy to grab waters etc when we got home after a night out. Ski locker room easy to use. Bed was made every day. Shower gel and moisturiser and a hairdryer were provided.

There was only one plug in the room which was nowhere near the bed or mirror. Also our room (3) you could hear the pipe works noisily when other people were using the toilets or showering - that was very annoying for the price we paid. Also breakfast is reasonably priced (€12) but mostly continental - lack of warm options.

Wonderful that the hotel switched to refilling glass bottles of drinking water - ample free access to water is what every traveler needs. And no plastic bottles in sight! Well done and much appreciated by all living creatures. Easy parking and very short walk to restaurants and shopping, ski bus stop right in front.

Heating is a bit too much, seems like waste of energy, would be nice if controlled better, it was very hot in the room at times. Don't know if it can be helped with old central heating, but maybe something can be worked out?

Location was good close to bus stop where you could take the bus straight to the ski lift. They provided early checkin at around 12 when we arrived which was very appreciated.

I believe staff should provide more information at the check in with regards to how to commute to the ski lift etc. We only found out about the card that gives you free transport and discounts when we went to a museum. The room was also quite noisy as you could hear everytime someone flushed the toilet as if it went all through our room. Maybe we got the "lucky ones" to get this particular room (nr 3).

Hotel is in a very good location, so easy to walk to everything. The free parking was nice and easy to use. Hotel is so central you don't expect the free parking. The morning breakfast is very good, many food options. I really liked the fancy coffee maker in the bar area offering free coffee to guests all day long. Plus free daily pastries too.

We were happy here, all good.

We liked the Hotel de L’Arve so much that we actually stayed there at both the beginning and the end of our stay in the area. It has a great location. The staff are so accommodating about storing extra luggage while doing the TMB. There is safe, free parking. The breakfast choices are great. The lady that runs the breakfast is so kind and welcoming. This was a great place to stay. It’s older, small town European hotel. Rick Steves had his tour group stay there so it has his stamp of approval too.

I really liked the first room we stayed in. it had a balcony with views of the river and the mountains. We weren’t as lucky the second time. bigger room but not the same ambiance.
