It is located about a 15-minute walk from the center of Chamonix, or about 5 minutes by bus or train, with stops conveniently situated next to the accommodation. Next to the accommodation, there is a beautiful frozen lake, and overall, the view is stunning. There is a space to store luggage, and the breakfast is excellent and varied.

All staff members should have clear and accurate information regarding the Guest Card. On the day of our arrival, we were informed by a staff member that the Guest Card was no longer valid and that the website was outdated. However, later that same day, we visited the tourist office and were assured that the website was accurate and that we were entitled to the Guest Card. The following day, after mentioning the tourist office's information, we were finally issued the Guest Card.

No fuss and the restaurant is what makes this hotel. Bar and restaurant staff is great and very nice. Great food and drinks at very good prices. 5 Stars to bar and restaurant and its staff.

I have not experience more grumpy hotel staff in any other hotel. They are mostly absent and when there no eye contact with guests, no acknowledgement, huffing when asking for help and there are poor routines for what needs doing after hours if anything goes wrong. Staff just needs reminding that they are working in hospitality and it’s the customer that is on holiday and pays their wages.

Stayed here out of season, which was a great deal - 52 EUR per night for a decent sized room with a somewhat limited view of Mount Blanc. Clean room with a balcony, just what we needed. The breakfast that's included should be marketed as a small and simple bread and toppings-breakfast. There is only bread, j, Nutella, butter and salami, as well as some yoghurt, cereal, milk, juice and pre-packaged baguettes. Not what you'd expect from a hotel breakfast, but it gets the job done - at least if they don't run out of baguettes which happened one day during our stay. The lodge has a bar and restaurant in-house, with great vibes and decent food, and a free pool table, and the bartender doubles as a receptionist. Info sheets in the room are quite outdated, showing 24/7 breakfast and 10 EUR bike rental available, which is not correct. It's a short walk to the city center, where they cooperate with a bike rental shop, Bile Chamonix, giving discounts on e-bike-rentals. All in all a good value stay out of season!

Very kind and helpful staff. Good value for the price. The room is cosy and our room came with amazing views of the Mont Blanc. There were smart TVs in the room, so you can connect to your own netflix or youtube. Our room was cold so we asked the staff for a solution, and they brought us a portable heater. Very good service. The breakfast was great, and we left the hotel to explore the mountains all energized from the breakfast. Thumbs up! There is free parking in front of the hotel and theres only a 15 minute walk to the main street of Chamonix. We will only have good memories from this hotel.

Easy check-in with remote guidance. Comfortable room for two with just enough space for important stuff. That was top floor what made noise of the rain to sound special. Restaurant at the ground floor was also very handy. Self-assisted light breakfast included.

Location is pretty distanced and takes around 20 mins walk to the center. Restaurant eliminated the inconvenience for my one night stop. Room’s door was half broken and you could see corridor by easily pulling them being closed. Noise cancellation was also an issue - I could hear anyone outside clear and loud. Unfortunately, people were not instructed to stay silent.

Had a good bathroom / shower. Room was clean. Good lockers for bags with lots of space. It wasn't bunk beds but small pods. Great bar / pub with great food downstairs. Easy access into town via free bus just outside.

Breakfast good but kitchen often messy, needed a table or something for people to make breakfast on away from small surface area of side, looked like it was in process of building work, so may put a table in kitchen soon. Room a bit different to the photos online.

The hostel had really good facilities. The breakfast was included and it was good overall. The bathroom inside the room was great and it was always very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious.

The hostel wasn’t very social in comparison to another hostel where I stayed in Chamonix. There was a bar in the main floor but there weren’t many places or activities après ski to socialise besides that.

Beautiful and cosy lodge with Mountain View’s and a lovely park just on the doorstep. Room was clean and comfortable and the included breakfast was fantastic!

It was a great experience to stay 4 nights at Vert Lodge. Amazing place, very cozy. Waking up every morning with the sight of Mont Blanc just by your window was magical. Loved the 20 minutes walk to the center of Chamonix itself, was great to enjoy the views and locals. Also, the hostel is two minutes away from Lac de Gaillands, which is an amazing view spot to Aiguille du Midi and Mont Blanc itself. Also close to some classic trails like La Jonction, and an amazing view from Glacier des Bossons. The staff was very polite and helpful; excellent breakfast; well equipped kitchen, toilet and room; the bar/restaurant was cozy and always filled with nice people from all over the world. If I ever return to Chamonix, will definitely book this hostel again. Thanks a lot, you really were made a huge contribution on making my experience really special!

The place was a pleasant surprise. The check in and check out procedures were very clear, the room was nice, a bit small but for the price it was ok. A plus was the fact that there was a restaurant at the ground floor with very good food and beer.

The breakfast (available from 5am to 11am) wasn't the best, it only had yoghurt, milk, bread, jams and similar items, nothing cooked. But it was ok overall. The location of the place is a 30 minute walk from the center and the bus (which is 2euros) comes every 30 minutes.
