My mother and I had the most wonderful time at Grand Hotel des Alpes. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, the location was perfect in the centre of town and we were kindly sent a list of restaurants to book too. There was a private shuttle that took us to the cable car which was very helpful and hassle free and the spa and canapés/cakes were heaven after a days skiing. We couldn’t recommend it more and would love to return again soon. Thank you!

The style and the location : This hotel is right in the middle of everything. I loved the fact that when you go out, you find yourself directly in the lively charming center of Chamonix with all the boutiques and restaurants and sportsshops. The hotel is beautiful, really, with a 19th century charm. Exceptional service from the staff. The suite Mont-Blanc is amazing, all new, perfect decoration. The spa was a little too small to our taste but was not busy when we were there, so it was fine. Such a good energy. We will be staying there again !

Fantastic Stay, the staff is excellent, very helpful and very nice. It could not be a more perfect location in Chamonix, right in the heart of the town center. Very easy to arrive in car.

For a hotel of this quality, the only thing that could have been better is a coffee machine in the room (nespresso or something like that) and for them to replace the bottled water every day.

Everything was super great , the reception staff were really friendly and helpful with everything, they explained for us everything about the whole city not only the hotel , the afternoon tea area was so nice and relaxing, we had great time in the spa and we used the jacuzzi and sauna . The location was amazing we were in the center of the center and everything was so close to us , the whole city was around us in every corner

The best thing about the hotel was the staff- they were simply amazing! I arrived to the hotel with my mom who needed to see a doctor. Francesa and Phillipe could not have been more helpful and kind. They went above and beyond to help us. We couldn't get a taxi so Phillipe dropped us to the hospital. Francesa was so kind and caring. I would 100% return.

We checked-in late at midnight and also leave at midnight because of bus schedule. The hotel helps us with everything to make things work out pretty well. We spent out time at spa to wait fir midnight bus. Also reservation for paragliding, cheese fondue and kept our forgotten camera. All staffs are very nice with helping hand. Best moment in Chamonix!!

Due to old building, there is few rusty from pipeline that made the toilet water yellowish. Understandable.

Firstly,I would like to say that all the personal from the receptionist to the driver were excellent, kindness and very helpful. They gave us more than we expected. The location is in the centre. So it is very close to restaurants, ski shops, cafes. The hotel is not close to the ski areas but they have free shuttles. you can arrange for return and they are really helpful with times when you want to come back early especially due to bad weather. Nice snacks from 16:00 to 11:00, which you can enjoy with sweet and savory snacks before going out to dinner.

Spa area is nice and clean but the pool is small, sauna and steam room is not hot. Breakfast is open buffet and you can enjoy many kind of types from french cheeses to breads , tartes , croissants, fruits , many egg types.. but it is not included into the room price and expensive

Almost everything. Beautiful hotel with lovely rooms. Great car park. Fantastic breakfast. All staff lovely particularly Francesca and Jerome who were so helpful with all our requests.

One tiny complaint is that we had a room looking over the street. As it was hot we had the window open and revellers continued going home until about 4am! Voices really echo when the area is deserted.

Can not ask for a better location! Walk out the front door into the heart of the pedestrian area. Hotel staff were super friendly and very helpful with directions and recommendations. Onsite parking was a great bonus. Will definitely stay here again next time in beautiful Chamonix!

The staff were exceptional. Excellent service from arrival to departure, nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely superb, and the reason I would return to the hotel. We stayed in the honeymoon room, it was beautiful, with large wooden beams and a very unique ambience in the turret of the tower. The room was quirky and we loved looking out at the mountains through the portholes. The hotel shuttle to the ski areas was an excellent perk, and saved having to cram onto the public buses. The driver was very friendly, and helpful with our ski gear. The daily snacks on offer were delicious, especially the savoury options later in the day, which we polished off quite a few of! I would highly recommend staying, if for nothing else but to enjoy 5 star customer service. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay so memorable. I hope to be back next year.

It was truly excellent, my only slight issue was the temperature in our room, as it got incredibly hot with all the heat in the hotel rising. The air con is not on in the winter, so we had the heating off and portholes open 24/7, but it was still very warm in the room. However; I am always very warm and sleep with windows open all year round regardless of the outside temperature so probably not the best judge!
