Breakfast was decent, location was good.

We really did not appreciate that kids are not allowed in the swimmingpool! One of the main reasons we selected the hotel was the pool… with the idea to swim after skiing. It turned out that kids are only allowed between 10AM and 2PM. That basically rules out the use of the pool completely. Even morning access would have been ok, but to allow from 10AM - 2PM is a joke.

POSITIVES: The staff was so helpful anytime we requested something for the room or came to the front desk for anything. Staff was especially, helpful when one night we had some very annoying and disturbing guests next door (the type of guest that bring all their relatives to stay in one room and are super loud), thankfully front desk took care of the matter, immediately! The breakfast every morning was very delicious and amazing variety! 10/10! The room we booked was a Superior Dbl Room, bed was large and comfortable (but, pillows too flat and not good for neck), we had top floor w/partial view (we would have full amazing views if they had not designed the hotel to cover most of the beautiful snowy mountain). Right across from the Aigulle du Midi cable car! Several amazing cafe's and restaurants just steps/minutes away! The location is perfection! 10/10!

There are 2 major design flaws in this hotel. #1 The balconies all have partial views as the patios are all half covered with wood paneling, which blocks the beautiful views. Very disappointing. #2 The entry of the room has no lighting, it is very dark at entrance. There is a full length mirror but it is useless since there is no lighting. When someone is using the restroom, you are unable do your makeup, or use this area at all because you cant see anything.

We chose this hotel in part because it is adjacent to the Aiguille du Midi lift station, and within easy walking distance from the bus drop off point for the BlaBlaCar bus we took from Annecy, France. Heliopic is indeed a full spa facility, with a lap pool, hot tub, Turkish sauna, cold room, ice bath, and relaxation areas. Massage is available. These facilities are clean and modern, and were not at all crowded. The hotel also has a great bar with craft cocktails. There are two restaurants within the hotel. We managed to fill ourselves with tapas from the bar, and had to scale back our dinner at the fancier restaurant. There was also a second restaurant that seemed to focus on fondue and beer, and seemed very lively. We went into the center town the following night for an excellent dinner at a restaurant that featured regional dishes. We had a large breakfast at the on two days, and both buffet meals were excellent. Our room was spacious {except for the ceiling height}, modern, and comfortable. We had a private balcony with a view of a major mountain peak. The hotel had coffee and water available at all times from machines in the lobby

Our bathroom had a sit-down shower, as the ceiling under the gable room did not allow one to stand in the tub. The headboard of the bed was also under the lowest portion of the ceiling. Not all of the rooms in this hotel are like this one, which is why we paid less than we would have in some other rooms. I hit my head on the ceiling once, but kind of knew what I was getting into on booking. On the whole, this was a very nice room.

convenient location to everything, spacious and open front and lounge area to relax, breakfast room was large and not too crowded, keep our luggages for free while we were hiking TMB for several days (so grateful!)

Shower water temperature fluctuates and someone came over to fix but it was not quite fixed, the room gets really warm and uncomfortable in hot days. It was hard to sleep. Air conditioner is a must. Staff were generally nice but one receptionist was snippy, breakfast fruit section needs improvement (e.g. kiwi was very hard to eat)

Great location, staff all super helpful, really good facilities, breakfast was good quality with a vast selection to choose from.

There wasn’t much we didn’t like. A couple of days housekeeping hadn’t got to our room by the time we got back at 5.30pm, and we then wanted to be in our room, so it didn’t get cleaned. And the only other thing, which is more a suggestion than a complaint, is that having the Netflix app available on the TV would be great. We could then sign into our own accounts. As we are pretty abysmal French speakers, we grew quite depressed by the English speaking news, which was our only option if wanting to spend an hour resting watching TV.

The design and feeling of spaciousness of the hotel was beautiful. It catered for all ages with the games and activities it provided in the lounge. It had a relaxed atmosphere and not at all stuffy. There were complimentary drinks in the lounge area with benches where you could eat your own snacks. It made you feel immediately at home. There was even complimentary ice cream served in the afternoon. The bedroom was very comfortable and we were upgraded to one with a balcony. They were conscious of environmental issues, so there was no air con, but you could open the balcony door.

We had breakfast on one occasion and it was ok, but we didn't choose to again.

The staff members are exceptionally and consistently warm and helpful, from the front desk to the ski shop. For example, when we returned from a restaurant late and couldn't find the key pad to open the garage door, a staff member came out in a cold, snowy night to help us. The hotel is well decorated, with tons of books (in the rooms and the lobby). There are games and reading tables in the lobby, with free crepes during weekend afternoons. The drink station with reusable glass bottles for drinking water is a great idea. The spa is fantastic. Nice restaurants. Nice short walk to the city center. Coin laundromat nearby.

I was not familiar with the practice of requesting a payment of half of the booking total (outside of the booking platform), many weeks before the free cancellation deadline. Then I found it seems to be a common practice for the ski resort hotels in the area (maybe only during high seasons). The hotel itself is totally legit and professional, and I am glad that I didn't cancel my reservation. I hope that the hotel gives a bit more clarification when requesting the pre-payment and hope that the review could be helpful to future guests who may share the same doubt.

We pretty much enjoyed everything about our stay. The staff was very courteous and helpful. They answered all of our questions earnestly and provided us with excellent advice about restaurants and activities, including details regarding several hikes in the area. We were also provided a pass for the train to travel back and forth throughout the valley to different destinations. The spa was fantastic with a large and well maintained pool as well as hot tub, steam room, sauna, cold plunge, and ice room. There was plenty of space to relax in hammocks and chairs. The restaurant, Akashon, was very comfortable and esthetically pleasing while the food choices and preparation were excellent along with the service. Finally, the room was spacious, comfortable and appointed with all of our needs. The hotel is right next to the Agui di Midi lift and in easy walking distance to the rest of the town.

My only complaint (if you can call it a complaint) is that I have to travel approximately 4,000 miles to stay there again. I wish it (or I) were much closer and I would go more often!

Location is great, at the far end of the town with great views of the Matterhorn from the room. Easy walking distance to lots of restaurants and the main town. Also easy to access the cable car to Glacier Paradise. The hotel runs a free electric shuttle and they picked us up from the railway station and dropped us off at the end of the trip. This saves hauling luggage through the streets of the town. Staff were really friendly and polite and gave excellent service. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty, with lots of food options. The room was spacious with a large bathroom and excellent shower.

It was quite expensive, but well worth it. We would stay here gain if visiting Zermatt.

It’s new, clean, pretty nice spa, great restaurant for dinnner, good parking

They have serious problem with a staff ! I had a lot of troubles booking my stay. The reservation department were emailing me VERY rough letters. I have all copies and will be happy to show them to their management. I was amazed how it was possible! At the reception checking in she said- before you check out we’ll go to your room to see if everything ok. OMG!! Great welcoming speach) The hotel is away from the village and near the road but the lift is right there. Also two cases Talking back to clients!! Despite it my stay was nice!
