The Hotel is exactly as described on the website. It is a delightful find in the heart of the Latin Quarter. A short walk to Notre Dame and the Seine. We were able to walk to the Luxembourg Gardens, Gardens de Tularies, and the Eiffel Tower in about an hour total. Also easy access to the bus lines and trains made travel very easy when our feet needed a rest. The staff was fantastic and so welcoming. Some spoke English fluently, some brokenly, but between their English and our broken French we were able to get along well. The breakfast buffet in the mornings is wonderful! Coffee, juice , breads and pastries, cheeses and meats, delicious yogurt, etc... a remarkable bargain to start off each day. Right across the street from the hotel is a lovely little market selling very acceptable wine at a VERY reasonable cost, to wind down each evening. When we come back to Paris, this will absolutely be our go to hotel destination!! The rooms are small, yes, but that is Europe. American travelers are used to the relatively gargantuan rooms at Holiday Inn and Hampton Inns ... thats not the European way. The bed was very comfortable, temperature control was good. The bathroom was clean, the hot water was plentiful and the water pressure was good. All in all a very nice stay! Our daughter, who is something of a world traveler for her work, declared this hotel an "incredible value"...one that she will look to stay in on future trips to Paris.

Really, the only negative we can think of, other than the rooms being fairly small...but I addressed that above...is that the bacon on the breakfast bar was basically disgusting. This is not a condemnation of this Hotel...we have been to several cities in Belgium, Italy, France...none of them cook bacon right. It is esssentially raw bacon, slightly warmed up...NOT cooked nice and crispy the way Americans like it. In a word...disgusting...you are eating warm fat...yuck. So...AVOID it. As I said above everything else about the breakfast is outstanding!! So enjoy it!! But...if they could learn to cook bacon right...OH MY!!

Location was fabulous! Close to metro, shops, restaurants, and bakeries. Art deco styling is appealing and fun. Staff was very helpful and welcoming.

Not all elements in a neighborhood can be controlled- so there were some unhomed people staying on the building stoop/window about 10 feet away from the main entrance. We didn’t want to bother them- so we walked around the block rather than up that part of the street. Small elevator- I barely fit with 2 carry-on suitcases, but the stairs are super cute.

Hotel Oratio is a hidden gem, the pictures match up to the hotel. The interior is lovely, clean and neat you genuinely can’t go wrong with this place especially with the amazing location and staff! Theres lots of food places and metro stations near by and a short walk by the river straight to the Notre-Dam. I notified the staff that it was a special occasion for my partner and I , they kindly presented petals and heart balloon on the bed. Even the cafe downstairs and their toilets are super cute. The elevator is quite tiny but i guess thats Parisian life, it only fits 2 people and 2 small luggages which worked for my partner and I to be honest. I like that they have a sustainable system of providing glass bottles so you can come fill up filtered water for your room whenever you want , you have access to coffee and tea, and of course there is good free wifi to join. The staff are available around the clock, the lobby is super cosy and they are always happy to help with questions about anything. Room service cleaned up our bed, didn’t touch anything else and took all our wet towels or rubbish nicely (some places don’t even do this) I would definitely stay here again if i was ever back in Paris!

There was a slightly odd smell from the drain in the shower room but it went slowly after a few rinses. I just hope everything is sanitised effectively. Shampoo and Conditioner would be ideal. I do wish there was a mini fridge in the room to keep our store bought drinks cool through the night and also navigate changing the temperature in the room better. Lucky for us we went in autumn so it wasn’t hot or cold and we didn’t need to worry much.

The hotel is located very close to Notre Dame Cathedral and to both metro and bus stops with connections to main points of the city. Also, most attractions are easily accessible by walk. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious when compared with other experiences we had previously in Paris. Great breakfast. We were lucky and at the check in we received un upgrade in the room. Staff is very friendly from front desk to cleaning. The hotel has coffee machine and tea available to the guests. Both room and common spaces are clean. We will stay again at this hotel next time.

Nothing to point.

Great location in the St. Germain area. Very comfy bed for 2 people. A great amount of space for a couple of nights stay with enough floor space to lay luggage and suitcases down. Also such a cute view out of the little balcony. We had a view of the church across the world and the Parisian apartments directly opposite.

Tv channel options could be a bit better but no a huge deal if you aren’t in the room a lot of the time. Also if you like a sleep in or nap. The church bells from across the road ring pretty regularly and sporadically. Not a bad thing though - it does sound quite nice. :)

I loved the decor, the warm home feeling, friendly and very helpful staff. Had great interactions with all staff in my time there (6 days) The room was as expected, very clean, no complaints, very much liked the personalized greeting card and chocolate on entry to the room...I chose to not have housekeeping until I checked out, so I cannot speak to the room being redone during my stay. I did request some new towels which was no problem.

I would have loved to have a mini refrigerator in the room. I needed a scale for my luggage to check weight but it was unavailable and no one could find it, it would be nice to have a few at hand so that people can check the weight of their luggage before leaving for airport. I could not get the room cool enough for my taste, but I did open the balcony doors to cool the room, then had to close them to sleep. The elevator had an issue that require the fire department during my stay and it was a little worrying, I was put at ease by the staff on shift, but the elevator was out of commission for a day or two.

Perfect location, close to almost every attraction in Paris. Great neighborhood surrounded by many great restaurants and bakeries.

Room was too small. I chose the superior room and we barely manage to move around the room. There is no place to put the suitcase apart from the floor. Curtains were full of dirt and some little fly like bugs on the curtains. Bathroom very clean but too small and you have to hold the shower head as there was no tool to hang it while having a shower.

Very centrally located in the Latin quarter with friendly front desk who accommodated our very late check in with a smile. Convenient for the metro and walkable to the promenade along the Seine. Room was modern and clean. Extra points for allowing us to leave our luggage in reception until the afternoon of our departure after we checked out in the morning. Even more bonus points for the cleaning team bringing a forgotten pair of airpods to reception for us to collect with our luggage in the afternoon!

Room did not have a fridge or coffee making facilities - maybe OK to not have the fridge, but having to go downstairs to get a (admittedly free) self-service coffee in the morning wasn't ideal.

I think the staff is what really makes this hotel shine, everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The hotel has a (very) small elevator, but totally funcional to get you to the room. Wifi here was great, you could stream Netflix without issues. They offer all the free cold still/sparking water and Nespresso coffee in the ground floor and even a small glass bottle in your room to refill all you want. I thought that was a nice touch, not a lot of hotels offer this. The bed was OK, our was a queen.

The breakfast could be a bit better, the bread/yogurt was not very good. Odd for a Parisian hotel! Maybe we just had bad luck.

The location was perfect for me! I liked the view and I loved this neighborhood. The staff were friendly and helpful (special kudos to Jed). I appreciated the honesty bar (station with free coffee, tea, and water) even if black tea was often unavailable. I was afraid of the bad smell and loud hood (how it could be in Parisian hotels) but the room smelled very good and there wasn't a loud hood. Some people wrote about a homeless person near the hotel I saw him too but he wasn't aggressive or something, and It didn't feel dangerous.

As for me, the breakfast was a little bit poor. A coat hanger in the room would be a plus.
