The hotel's location wasn't on a main street like most of the others in the area. Outside, there's a small park you can visit that can be seen from your balcony, and across the street, there's a bus stop. The Henri IV is within 3 to 10 minutes walking distance from the subways, metropolitan shopping, tourist attractions (Seine and Notre Dame), supermarkets, a pharmacy, restaurants, and cafes, while still maintaining its off main street seclusion and historical ambience. The bathroom met with my expectations.

I reported within 24 hours after I made my reservation in January 2024 to Booking.com that another site had the Henri IV for $200.00 less per night. I even sent the site to Booking.com to price match, but I didn't receive a price reduction. As much as I enjoyed my stay, paying over $500.00 per night when the reservation was offered at over $200.00 less on another site put me in a situation where my vacation could have been very stressful. For months, I tried to get the price matching resolved, but it wasn't.

Comfortable room, a/c was quiet and worked well, good breakfast, helpful and friendly staff. Very responsive to any questions. Off the main roads on a quiet street. Room had a tiny “kitchenette”-mini fridge, hot water kettle as well as a single burner.

Not a criticism of the hotel at all- instead a tip: check hotel website directly for pricing rather than rely on booking.com as their price guarantee isn’t as it states.

We were greeted with a smile upon arrival at about 10am the day of the Olympics opening ceremony. We were offered coffee while they finished cleaning our room and were able to check into our room after about 15 minutes - a nice surprise after flying all night. The room (with 2 twins) was in a quiet location and had a lovely view of a small garden out the bathroom window. The room and bathroom was small by US standards but was adequate for my daughter and I for the 7 days we were there for the Olympics. The beds were very comfortable. The air conditioning was great - after a long day in the heat it felt so good to come home to the cold room. I would have liked more counter space in the bathroom. We were very busy during our time there so did not need the services or eat breakfast there. Very convenient to several Metro/RER stops and many local cafes and boulangeries. Could easily walk to Notre Dame and Pantheon areas from hotel. As 2 women, we felt safe in the area around the hotel.

Only complaint is what I paid for the room - it was very expensive probably because I booked it for the Olympic period. I believe their normal rates are lower.

Beautiful boutique hotel in convenient but quiet location with very friendly and attentive staff.

People at the desk were very helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate our requests. I liked turning in the room key when we left so they knew we were out and when it was gone we were back. There was 24 hour desk service made it safe and secure. Everything was very clean and the bathroom was updated nicely.

The room was small for 2 people. The elevator was noisy and went out of service one night while we were out. We had to climb to the 6th floor.

This is a nice little boutique hotel at the end of a short street near the Notre Dame Cathedral. We were made to feel very comfortable by the nicely kept facility and great service and assistance from Isham at the front desk. The room was not large but was adequate with a large bathroom covered with fancy porcelain. We had a great time at this hotel and didn't want to leave. Isham gave us a list of recommended restaurants near the hotel and both meals we had were great. The hotel does a nice breakfast and is worth the money with a nice variety of fresh breads, meats cheeses, salmon, eggs and more. The breakfast room is small but that seems to be the nature of things in Paris. I highly recommend this hotel!

I can't think of anything we didn't like.

. Lovely comfortable rooms, small, as expected in Paris but enough space for bags etc, with a nice bathroom/even bath, and kitchen, corner. Has a lift for bags which is a bonus in these old buildings. Lovely neighbourhood , quiet street. Concierge booked us a lovely local restaurant. Booked it with the extra cost as arriving after long flight, and for proximity to Gare Lyon. Unfortunately we were not warned by the evening concierge that taxis were hard to get in the morning, and he didn't suggest pre booking. There were no taxis, am concierge trying to help us , we (4 of us) ended up running to the station (20 minutes with big bags) and missed our train by 2 minutes ...that cost us €350 ; these train stations are big and confusing if you haven't been there before, just leave lots of time!

Incredible location. Felt so cosy being tucked back from the main road and surrounded by beautiful Parisian architecture. The soft sound of church bells ringing in the morning was amazing. Absolutely loved it here. The staff were polite and accommodating. Very charming basement breakfast room served continental breakfast with scrambled eggs. Beautiful traditional French interior, unlike most of the hotels in Paris now seem to be all kitted out ultra modern and lacking style. Not this one! If I was being ultra critical I would have asked for the Mini Bar to be stocked as it was empty when we arrived, but drinks were available from room service so it wasn't an issue. They have a wonderful French onion soup on the menu also!

Hotel Residence Henri IV is in a great location, is really beautifully decorated and has a remarkable staff. We were delighted with their kindness and attentiveness. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. Staff went out of their way to make up for a brief (a couple of hours) issue with the elevator which frankly didn’t impact us at all (we like taking stairs). We’d definitely stay again.
