This was not our first stay but the 'Pavillon' (essentially a second building of the Regent Petit France thats oddly treated as a separate hotel online only) is delightful. Our room was spacious and comfortably appointed. For visiting Strasbourg it is hard to imagine a better placed hotel, in the very heart of Petite France and all its restaurants and bars and no more than a 5 minute walk to the cathedral and the very quaint shopping district surrounding it. It is worth noting that despite its very central position in the historic centre's pedestrian zone, the hotel is accessible by car and most rooms are well soundproofed and very quiet at night.

The rooms although comfortable are totally bland and not quite convincing as 5 star-level accommodation. It is a very minor inconvenience but its worth knowing that from the Pavillon, one needs to walk outside and cross the (pedestrian) street to reach the main building (the Regent itself) for breakfast, the bar, restaurant and Spa and gym. The bar itself is rather on the pokey side and not nearly as nice as that of other hotels of the same grade in Strasbourg. More unfortunate was the air-conditioning system switched to 'winter' for the season despite the warm weather which made the room uncomfortable bordering on the suffocating. A fan was provided but obviously it was not really a solution.

Everything! Perfect location for our visit. Every single detail is considered. Perfect payment system. Perfect service which exceeds expectations & exceeds 5 star. Perfect staff with no expense spared & no whim too much. Staff wished my daughter a happy 16th birthday at check in & even left her birthday gifts, on behalf of the hotel, in our room when we arrived. Our luggage taken care of on arrival and check out, even driven out of the no car zone where a taxi waited to take us to the train station. The gentleman even gave us bottled water for our journey. Exceptional restaurant & exceptional food! Spa is delightful. Rooms are immaculate with impressive views from the windows. Bathroom is luxurious with windows that open onto the cobbled marketplace letting in the sounds & music of outside. Minibar is nicely stocked. Coffee espresso is on point. The bar lounge is exquisite with the hotel boasting wonderful original mill features. Beautiful assortment of gifts in the cabinets. Bar man is on point. All staff are so friendly, happy & all meet & exceed concierge standards.

There is NOTHING to dislike.

Great accommodations and location

Kitchen closed before we could get a meal upon arrival. We arrived late which was known by the hotel. When we went to check in there was only one person at the check in desk and she was busy trying to assist another guest with their travel arrangements. She continued to help them without recognizing our standing there waiting. We were tired and hungry and very annoyed by our treatment. The saving grace of this experience was the bellman standing at the little podium. He, upon seeing our situation immediately grabbed a room service menu and arranged for us to have something to eat in our room. It at least allowed us to get some food in us after traveling all day by car, train and plane.

The hotel is beautiful, and the reception staff are very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a separate building opposite the main hotel which was very quiet and had a great view of the only swing bridge in Strasbourg. The breakfast was lovely with a good selection of hot and cold items to choose from and as the weather was good, we were able to eat outside and enjoy the view. The main restaurant was closed until 6 September so cannot comment on the dining facilities. I would recommend staying in the separate building to the hotel as it was nice to be able to come and go without having to walk through the main hotel.

The valet parking is very helpful, but the charges are not clear. We are sure they said €24 per night but we were charged €40 per night. If this was made clear, we would not have opted for valet parking.

The hotel is conveniently located in the city centre. Sightseeing, restaurants and shopping are within reach. Our room was recently renovated - everything was brand new and spotless! There were two levels - a small entré and bedroom and bathroom upstairs. It looked like a cosy chalet. The sound insulation was perfect. We couldn’t hear our neighbours. Breakfast was elegant, sufficient and very delicious. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

It would be nice to have a little wardrobe/ coat stand or just some hooks for clothes downstairs . It isn’t very comfortable to go upstairs in winter coats.

The "pavilion" part of the Regence hotel is actually across the street from the main hotel in a converted medieval building, so it's more like staying in a small inn than a grand hotel. But it's very modern, clean, and accessible, and the view are spectacular. We were right on the canal in the heart of Petite France, and the room was spotless. The bathroom was especially nice, with a large shower and double sinks. It's not an inexpensive place to stay, but it's very memorable and wor the money.

The bed was a bit too firm for my tastes. A foam mattress topper would've been helpful.

The location, the size of the room, wonderful staffs

There are two closets next to the head of the bed and the handles of the closets were too close to the bed, I was afraid of banging my face when I get out from the bed. A strange place to have the handles. The toilet did not flash each time somehow, which was annoying. We complained this when we checked out and the front desk was puzzled. I hope they solved this problem.

Excellent location in a beautiful part of Petit France which made us feel we were right in the heart of the old city. We were staying in the annexe building but that didn't impact on the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff. We felt well looked after. Great to have the car taken car of with valet parking. Extremely hot couple of days so the location and the size of the room meant we could easily pop up to rest and cool down.

Just about everything .. absolutely gorgeous setting, room, quality of facilities. We didn't try the breakfast, but I am sure that would have been good to. VERY comfortable, large bed. Quiet, great sleep, good airconditioning. HUGE bathroom and HUGE walkin shower. Strasbourg is delightful.

Only one thing - in Room 351 the toilet was right next to the window. There were netting curtains, but no blind. The toilet was in the (beautifully) large bathroom .. but when the light was on in the bathroom, we didnt know if we could be seen by anyone outside. There were no actual buildings with windows, but there were public walkways and stairs up to another set of accommodation. I am sure that anyone passing did not want to know if we were using the toilet !! so .. we were left feeling we had no privacy .. and whenever we used the bathroom at night, we invariably brushed out teeth by the lights from outside ! we certainly did NOT turn on the light when using the toilet !

Very nice room above river in the corner of the house. Spacy, moder in pos building, excellent and big bed, merci confortable and very friendly staff. The hotel is extremely well situated in the center of the city.

The only thing: the toilet room smelled cigarette smoke despite the non smoking room.
