The staff were very friendly and helpful, from the reception staff to the cleaning staff every single one of them was welcoming and friendly. The breakfast buffet was great. There was a selection of hot and cold food each morning and it was all very fresh and tasty. The room was perfect for our needs, we spent long hours each day exploring the city, only returning to the hotel at night to rest and sleep. The TV was a smart TV so we could watch YouTube while we chilled out. The location was very central to the main train station, a 10-15 minute walk or <5 minute bus trip and the hotel was located to a number of vibrant and busy restaurants and café bars, perfect for evening dining.

We were sad not to meet the hotel dogs on our trip, we had read so many reviews mentioning them, but sadly they were on vacation.

The location is wonderful - just 1/2 a block from the water in a beautiful neighborhood. Close to central rail station too. The staff was very friendly and helpful. After I checked out, they held my backpack for safekeeping while I was out all day and I really appreciated that. The breakfast buffet was excellent and unexpectedly great for the size of the hotel. Carina, the restaurant downstairs, was spectacular - highly recommend it.

I had a couple of issues with the bathroom but, other than that, the room was comfortable and cozy.

Great location. Close to the Aussen-Alster Lake, lots of smaller restaurants in the area on the street Lange Reihe, when walkiing towards Main train station. It is a smaller hotel. The staff very helpfull and nice. Breakfast is good, with a lot to choose from and freshly served. Would love to come back in Summer and enjoy my breakfast in the nice green courtyard. We had dinner in the little vegetarian restaurant downstairs at the hotel - also a very pleasant experience. We really enjoyed our stay.

A great place to pick up items like socks, umbrellas, etc. Friendly, helpful staff, who make guests feel welcome on arrival, and provide you with basic information about the hotel's area along with a map marked with specific areas of interest Toiletries and towels supplied and replenished Good breakfast A selection of fresh foods served in the bright dining or outdoor garden area in the morning Great lattes made on request at breakfast Appreciated the peace and quiet of the room and being on a lower floor with easy stair access to our space Two okay burger places close by, (but the best one was Brooklyn Burger) about 20 minutes walk away

Furniture arrangement made navigating the room somewhat challenging due to narrow space between the bed and the built in desk area that was along the opposite wall Having to step over the side of the the tub to shower may present a problem for some older and less agile people It would be nice to have a small table with two chairs by the window

Exceptionally clean hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Cute dogs walking round reception area. Room was as expected with size. Location was about 5/10 walk to hamburg train station. Very quiet. Good size tv, coffee making facilities. Room was cleaned daily. Overall a very good stay.

Bedding for a double bed was 2 single duvets which wasn’t a huge issue, pillows were probably due for a change which caused 1 nights bad sleep. Bed was quite low down to the ground but again not a huge issue for us.

Good location and within walking distance of the city centre. Plenty of space in the bedroom. Very friendly helpful staff and good breakfast. Excellent water pressure in the shower. Complimentary water.

It was very hot during our stay and despite having a fan in the room it was difficult to stay cool. The lift was out of order for six days during our stay and as we were on the second floor and not as mobile this was difficult. The shower was excellent but was difficult to climb into and potentially hazardous although there was a bar to help.

Room was a generous size with a well sized bathroom. we were on the top floor facing onto the street, also right next to the elevator, and there was no external noise or elevator noise that we noticed (although we only stayed Monday and Tuesday evening so it was generally quiet). The rooms are basic but comfortable. The beds were comfortable and there was aircon which was effective - slightly noisy but easy to cope with. Breakfast was a simple European style buffet with the usual meat, cheese and bread etc, also some hot options - scrambled/boiled egg and streaky bacon. there was also an assortment of cheese, pate and also smoked salmon. There is a garden/patio area at the rear of the property where you can take your breakfast or just sit and chill. the staff were very friendly and there were also 2 very chilled/well behaved dogs who generally roam around (/nap) on the ground floor. Location - very easy to get to the central train station (10 mins walk) and into the old town, 20 minutes or so to the rathaus and main city center for shopping and tourism etc. It is an easy walk along the side of the lake. Taxi into the city was just under 15 euro. We were there for a gig at the sporthalle which was a 12 minute taxi (20 euro) or 40+ minutes on public transport

If pushed to pick a fault, the seating in the bedroom wasn't the most comfortable.

Nice hotel with a convenient location: 10 min by foot from the railway station and close to the road with many restaurants, cafés, shops and supermarkets. However, the hotel is on a quiet residential side street and only 5 minutes from Aussen Alster Lake. The complimentary water bottle (replaced daily) and the wine bottle were excellent attention.

For a 4-star hotel, the room could have a mini-bar.

The hotel is situated in a lovely residential area. It has a beautiful back garden and an Italian restaurant connected where I had a couple of delicious dinners. The breakfast spread was expansive, fresh, and generously included. There were two delightful golden retrievers to greet guests. I slept like a happy baby in the comfortable bed. All around great place to stay - felt more like staying with friends than in a hotel!

Nothing - can't think of a single improvement! It was pricier than some hotels, but well worth the price.

Good location only a short walk to main central railway station and U bahn. Helpful staff. Nice boutique hotel in a nice quiet neighborhood with plenty of eateries nearby and walking along the lake. Nice Italian restaurant below the hotel. Two gorgeous Golden Labradors as hotel pets. Room was made up when requested and light bulb changed promptly when reported to reception.

Bed was not as comfortable as it could have been although no problem sleeping.
