property location and modern

we had paid for breakfast via booking.com but the hotel insisted we hadn’t, we weren’t charged anything extra and ate each day but we had to have a big discussion each morning about it

staff was friendly, parking was easy! we thought it would be a very small parking but is actually pretty big. Price of parking was about the same as other parkings. Bed was confortable and big, especially if you travel with taller than average people, it's a bonus. Location was also good and the common areas were great

I imagined the room could be better given the price and the appearence of the other common areas of the hotel. Didn't like the bathroom situation, you took a shower and all the toilet paper got damp because there is no separation and it's just a bit messy. with the sink outside it gave more "hostel" vibes than a hotel.

Location, at walking distance to the central station, English Garden, Marienplatz, etc. Staff: they all did the extra mile

The ambience is not everyone's cup of tea. All the walls are painted in black. There isn't a reception desk, but reception is done at the bar. All very trendy, very hip (decor is retro, with cassette tapes in the lobby and a Marshall amplifier in the room). Excellent for hipsters and 'young bright things', but those used to traditional hotels will be in for an initial shock. The room was very small, though it had all the necessary things (felt like the 25m2 IKEA flat).

The staff was an extraordinary team of talented, capable, and conscientious individuals who were very welcoming and friendly. Thanks to Esteban, Meli, Nicolas, Sarah, Seb, Anila, Ihan, Äska, Rolli, and the others whose names I regret to have forgotten; An extraordinarily positive group of people! The location was particularly convenient- away from the noise and clutter of the train-station, and within walking distance of nearly everything. The breakfast was perfect and worth the cost.

Some of the upholstered furniture in the main hall could use a cleaning or refinishing. The roof-top terrace would benefit from some repair and finesse. The hotel soaps had a strong and alcoholic odour. The terraces of the rooms on the 5th and 6th floors should be accessible.

Location, staff and breakfast all first rate. These three factors would be enough for me to come back. Comfortable bed, nice toiletries, nice window seat in the room, windows open and good aircon. Main bar and rooftop bar both really nice to sit in.

Has communal tea/coffee facilities (“galleys”)and iron for each floor rather than kettle in room. This is an interesting idea and probably works better (more space to iron and no weak kettles to contend with) but the boiling water tap in the galley on level 4 didn’t work when we were there which was irritating. Also the bathrooms are a glass box in the corner of the room rather than a separate room. The sink is in the main room which feels untidy. All trade offs worth it for the breakfast and the staff though

Fantastic..one word describes everything associated with a hotel stay. The facilities, location, food and staff. A 24 hours bar and an amazing breakfast spread is sufdicient to satiate all your cravings related to food and drinks. The breakfast spread is not only sumptuous and delicious, but extremely healthy as well. It has options for meat lovers in sausages and ham, an exciting cheese and supperfoods spread, and a fulfilling vegan corner. The room is minimalistic yet has everything one could need. Bathroom is spacious and the shower facilities are among the best I have seen across the world. Specially curated and thoughtfully supplied, there are different concoctions of shower gel depending upon the time of the day !! There is a small rooftop place to enjoy the sunset, or sunrise (if you are an early bird). The pantry supplies are located in a common room called galley with a hot water tap, varieties of teas and quick coffee, an ironing board and a quick vending machine for snacks or small supplies. It is conveniently located, at a stone's throw from tram, Ubahn station, restaurants and some major attractions. Check in and check out processes are extremely smooth and quick. The staff is amazing, friendly, courteous and attentive. Feel free to approach them for tips for making the most out of your stay in Munich. This place is now on my go to list for Munich. Not to be missed: Barista serving coffee served at the buffet...it's a work of art.

What a tremendous group of people that work at this hotel! The hospitality, kindness, and good humour was an integral and greatly appreciated part of a wonderful visit. Also, the location was ideal, just far enough from all the noise to be relaxing, but close enough to walk to everything; it is a nice environment to return-to, and a convenient meeting point.

Very little to complain about. The only three items would be… 1. The strong, alcoholic odour of the complimentary soaps and shampoos. 2. The automated check-in process and the associated complexity of addressing reservation-related issues like schedule-changes, refunds, and extended room-rates - all resolved with the kind help of the staff, nevertheless, it seemed like more work and technology than necessary with a traditional concierge. 3. The fabric of the lobby / common-area furniture would benefit from a thorough cleaning. And… Why are the 5th and 6th floor terraces and balconies not accessible?

Overall it was all good, room was quirky but nice and the location was perfect

Although the room was as above it was a little on the small side and its design was a little bit awkward. Height of bed level was different to main floor and on one side it was 300-400mm above the floor, no step. Awkward at night particularly. Better instructions on how to turn lights off at night would also be useful. Otherwise all very good!!

Loved the cleanliness, super comfy beds, floor to ceiling windows, great breakfast, very quiet and easy access to public transit.

I didn’t love the open shower that gets most of the bathroom floor wet. Cool concept in theory, but not in reality. I also didn’t like the self check-in process. After a very long day of travel it was a bit annoying to have to navigate typing in all of our information when I could barely see straight. On top of that, my husband wandered off to check out the lounge mid-process with his passport info, so the system timed out and I had to start all over again. There was someone behind the bar, not doing anything, so it would’ve been nice to have a greeting and maybe a little help.

As usual with "Ruby Hotels" I liked the design, the cleanliness of the room and the efficient check in/out procedure. I also highly recommend the Persian and Afghani restaurants within 3 mins of the hotel - excellent food, friendly staff and kitchen till late.

The lobby/breakfast room was thoroughly cleaned right after breakfast - which is good - but there was no place to sit and meet people due to the lengthy, noisy, many times paused procedure and dispersed activities in all parts of the ground floor. Basically the whole area was "off limits" for 3 hours (I tried several times).
