Great location, very close to Reykjavik but far enough to avoid the city's traffic. Great location to use as base to explore the west and southwest of Iceland. Easy check in except that the code to the building did not work. But when we called them, they immediately responded and helped us inside. The apartment is well equipped with all the needed amenities. Good parking facilities. Pharmacy, grocery store(Bonus) and bakery(Lindabakari) are super close. Skalli Bistro is a must try when you stay there. Gas station(Orkan) is just 5km away. We had a very comfortable stay. Will stay again:)

The room design, amenities, cleanliness, hospitality, friendliness of the staff, everything was perfect for me. The beautiful view from my room was spectacular. I had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again. Below are my favorite points of this apartment. 1. Sharing the detailed information in advance and communicating with clients in a friendly and courteous manner. When the date of my stay approached, the apartment gave me the manual. Thanks to that guidance, I could use every machine easily. Moreover, the host of this apartment was usually replying so quickly. Those factors made me so calmed to stay in this apartment. 2. great location and functional kitchen. There is a supermarket open until 8 pm in front of this apartment. The room has a kitchen with dishwasher and microwave. There are 2 pans, 2 pots, a rubber spatula, a knife, sugar, salt and pepper, kitchen papers, and plenty of dishes. I wanted to save as much money as possible and these two points were very helpful. 3. The kindness of the staff in an emergency. When the fire alarm went off because I burned the bread too much with the microwave, the staff helped me so quickly and handled it so gently. I was so panicked while the fire alarm was going off, but the kind communication helped me calmed down. I appreciate so deeply. I’ve never been to Iceland before, so I was a little bit surprised that there is only a bus. It takes approximately 30 minutes from the center of Reykjavik to this apartment. However, it was one of the most incredible memories in Iceland to spend the relax time in my room and have a cup of tea with the beautiful view. If I come back to Iceland, I want to stay there again!! Thanks for providing the wonderful experience :)

We went on a 5 day trip to Iceland, and loved this very neat and modern apartment. As we rented a car for our trip, the apartment was easy to reach and the parking in front was great. The location is superb - close to Reykjavik, but also great connection to the several highways to drive to the south coast etc. The kitchen was gret and had everything we needed (including coffee, salt & sugar), and several supermarkets are nearby - Bonus was our favorite. Several The bed was very comfortable, bathroom was clean and the shampoo/showergel was surprisingly good. All in all, perfect home for an active holiday in Iceland.

Minor detail - the number pad for access both on the outside of the building and in front of the apartment are difficult to find and blacked out until you touch them. We had to help quite a few fellow guests to find it and get in.

Comfortable, and well located apartment very close to restaurants, a bakery, a supermarket and the main routes for travelling around Iceland. Huge parking area (car needed) so never had problems parking. Staff quick to respond to emails. The apartment was very clean inside. It was also easy enough to occasionally cook on the stove. If we come to Iceland again we would definitely stay here

Bedside lamp reported as not working on the first day and this was sadly not resolved No WiFi for 2 days - this caused us some problems as couldn’t access important information Glass door leading on to the balcony needs a good clean on the outside! Had to keep curtain permanently drawn as it looked so bad!

Roomy, close to Bonus supermarket pharmacy and bakery. There's two restaurants nearby but one is superb:.Brag Laukar, for the nice ambience the quality and variety of the food, the friendly people who work there, and the value. Room 206 or I assume all even numbered rooms have a undesirable view. In room 206 was very industrial, what you see, view from your window. But 305 and 505 have a gorgeous view of a lake. The beddings were comfortable. We were warm and cozy. The rooms have an induction stove, dishwasher, small fridge, microwave, and a small dinette. Spare but functional. A bit of a distance from Reykjavik.

The room had all the essentials; kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave, etc. And the location was great for moving around outside of town. Pin code access for entry helped a lot because I didn't have to carry extra keys around, so that was good too

Probably some things that can't be helped, honestly. The bathroom door is a slider, and right next to the bed, so privacy is a no go there. It was very warm even after I turned off the heater in the room, so I had to prop the windows for my wife because she couldn't reach them to let some air flow for us. It's an apartment, not a hotel, and I think it gave us everything we needed. Having cold drinks in the morning was obviously a bonus. And there's a bakery right across the street for coffee and pastries, which we took advantage of both mornings on our way out

We stayed for a night in June 2025 and had a wonderful experience. The property was spotless and very well-maintained. The beds were extremely comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep. One of the highlights was the beautiful view from our room—it really added to the relaxing atmosphere. There was also plenty of space to store our luggage, which was a big plus. Another great convenience was the free parking slot, making check-in and check-out smooth and stress-free. Overall, a fantastic stay! Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and convenience.

Beautiful mountains and a lake could be seen from the large windows. Great size of an apartment for 2 people, large comfortable bed, large tv with Apple TV. All basic necessary items in the kitchen, dishwasher. We could even get extra towels if we needed, and the kitchen had some tea and coffee as well as olive oil and salt left from the previous guests. Very warm apartment. Easy check in and check out, great tips from the owner on what to do in Iceland.

The area felt a bit industrial. The shower had a short glass wall so the bathroom floor would get very wet after every time we took a shower. No door mat which made the floor in the entrance room very dirty and wet. Bad kitchen smell in the entrance room as soon as we first entered, didn’t go away after a day of keeping the window open. Would have been great to have a freezer.

Location good when using a rental car and wanting to explore Reykjavik and the nearby areas, Golden circle and the southern coast. Beds and linen were comfy, lots of extra pillows and blankets available, if needed. Dishwasher was a bonus. Communication with the apartment management was easy and the replied promotly, although not answering all the questions at once and had to repeat some questions. Easy self-check-in and -out.

TV antenna was broken, the room was cold when we arrived and some basic kitchen utensils were missing (the microwave hood/cover to place on top of food and frying spatula).

EVERYTHING - Location, cleanliness, helpful staff! Just to be transparent, I stayed at TYR Apartments (not Icelandic Apartments), which is also managed by Heimaleiga. First, I want to thank the staff because they were really helpful when I asked them to modify my booking almost last minute. The location was perfect - it was literally 1 min walk to Laugavegur street and had a bus stop with the 18 bus which goes straight to Perlan. Numerous gift shops, restaurants/jazz bars, Bonus market and Hallgrimskirkja church were all very accessible by foot. The room was very clean, just like the photos, and there were enough kitchen tools for us to cook simple meals. We were always able to find a parking spot near the church (it was winter though), which was about 5 min walk from the accomodation.

There was no lift in the building, but already expected it so it was all good.
