Very nicely maintained, courteous staff and great breakfast. Value for money overall!

Location is not Reykjavik but Kópavogur (A suburb of Reykjavik). You have to pay for Taxi every time you want to go to the pickup point of any tours. However the hotel rates may be on. Higher side in Reykjavik so there’s a tradeoff. Also, there’s nothing nearby so you have to walk a bit for basic stuff. There’s a mall 5 min walking distance probably and an Indian restaurant too - didn’t try either one of them.

The breakfast was continential style and the same pretty much daily.The staff was super friendly in helping us find tourist attractions. There were couple restaurants in walking distance that was really great and somewhat affordable depending on your budget.

Booking.com didn't apply the resort tax charges so it was a surprise having to pay the tax again at check-in. I wouldn't recommend booking through this website.

A little bit of noise coming from the highway, the curtain in the shower and the bathroom should be bigger compared to the room.

My flight was cancelled to Iceland. I was not able to make it to the original date. I contacted the hotel and asked if I can switch the day for staying. The staff were really responsive and helpful. Arranging things with their staff were reassuring in a stressful situation. I really appreciate it.

I booked a single room. The room can be a bit small but it has everything that I need. The hotel was located right next to a highway so the noises from the traffic can be a bit loud in a quiet night.

The staff was friendly parking was easy and it was close to the city. The spa nice and breakfast was delicious. The staff in the breakfast and spa area very beyond friendly.

There was construction from 7:30 am on a Saturday morning and we asked for a quiet room. Also there was a city fee charge that we were not informed of before check in which we did not pay at other hotels.

Check in was very easy. Helpful staff. Enough towels and there was nice towel warmer, which was a nice addition. The beds was really comfortable! Blackout curtains worked really well. From the hotel it is a 15 minute drive to Reykjavik. The room had a lot of storage with an awesome wardrobe.

A small fridge would have been helpful in the room setup. The hotel was close to the highway and could hear the vehicles zooming through.

Beds were comfortable and had hard mattress. We had good night sleep. Location is not far away from downtown as it took only 10 minutes by car.

Rooms were not that clean and had a smell. Looked run down property which needed a renovation. Toilet flush stopped working. Shower was small. Running water had sulphur smell.

Breakfast was good, room was clean and towels were replaced regularly. Included toiletries were a godsend with Iceland's sulphurous water and didn't reek like the cheap supermarket shampoo did when it was mixed with the water. 24/7, English speaking reception who let me drop off a bag before check in.

A lot of the local tour companies don't pick up from that location which isn't directly the hotels fault but is an awkward reality when coupled with the kind of iffy bus links.

Good location for going into Reykjavik centre or out to explore the island. Decent breakfast spread and a good price compared to the rest of Reykjavik

There is an eggy smell coming from the hot water in the tap or shower similar to the geysir we visited. Unsure if this relates to how it is heated but may want to hold your breath when showering.

The hotel is clean and comfortable and the hotel staff is welcoming and helpful. This is a wonderful, affordable hotel option just outside of the city. Parking is free and convenient on site if you rent a car.

When booking, it’s important to realize that the hotel sits well outside of the sites and dining you may want to see and experience in Reykjavik. You will need to take a taxi or a bus into downtown. The hotel is a bit of a walk to the nearest Straeto bus stop, and figuring out how walk to the stop is a bit tricky. We were glad we took the city bus as we got a sense of the area and the locals. If you want the most convenient transportation, we recommend renting a car at the airport upon arrival.
