Modern room with great facilities and very comfy bed.

the room needs either brighter lightbulbs or couple additional lamps, it's very cosy and atmospheric but a bit too dark. Could also do with a bedside shelf even if very small. Location is great if planning to do loads of daytrips/have rental car, but might be a bit too far to walk to/from the downtown for some people, especially in winter weather.

The room was lovely and had fully working kitchen. The location is a little out of the city but still close enough to walk in taking around 25mins to bus stop 13.

Too many emails regarding check in. The check in process is ok but not straight forward and not ideal for people not as comfortable with all information on their phones. Would be better suited for people that have hired a car.

Great location regarding distance to the town centre (one bus) as well as pick-up locations for excursions. We rented a car and free parking was an amazing perk. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again. I found the decor to be edgy and cool with its dark colours. We had an amazing view of the snowy mountains from our room (Our room was facing the car park!).

I would have loved to have the opportunity to have breakfast or even a coffee downstairs but I was not sure how this worked. I kept on forgetting to ask staff on the chances that I managed to see someone!

A fantastic self catering apartment in a great hotel. We enjoyed the spacious main bedroom with a well equipped kitchen. The kitchen area had a great microwave oven where we could cook many things. We could also heat up anything necessary. We had a kettle and toaster with a generous jar of percolate coffee and another jar of herbal and black tea. We had a large refrigerator with a good spacious freezer compartment which we made use of, for making good meals. There was a dishwasher too, but we hand washed the provided cutlery and plates etc by hand. The bed was very large and comfortable with many room lights available to create a pleasant atmosphere. The shower area was outstanding with a fantastic shower head and smaller portable shower head, lower down. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The cleaning staff were very good, who daily cleaned up our room space, emptying bins and washing anything that we never got round to doing, including changing the towels when necessary and providing more toilet paper when we were running low. The entrance lobby to the hotel is well laid out like a restaurant bar, with comfortable sofa seats and pleasant background music. The owners and staff running the place were very helpful and welcoming. The hotel is only a mile or two from the city centre, with many shops, including supermarkets and restaurants along the way in both directions around the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone if you like self catering, a very comfortable stay and great location for the city in general.

Not much to say really, only that the room door numbers are tiny on the door frames and not on the door. The top hub part of the electric/microwave oven cooker did not work for us as there were no instructions, but after working out the oven part of the cooker, we managed to do everything with the oven instead.

Kitchen in our studio room was very well equipped and allowed us the freedom to make our own breakfast every morning. Heating was very powerful so the room was always toasty and we were able to relax at night watching Netflix in bed. Also very nice view of the mountains and lovely big window. Shower had good pressure / was nice and hot and the whole room was very modern/ clean.

Was a little bit hard to find especially when arriving late in the dark. Perhaps clearer signs outside could help.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The room was unique and clean, making it a pleasant experience for the price point. I also appreciated the free parking on the side of the building, which was very convenient. Overall, a solid choice for a good stay!

The check-in procedure was smooth, but I could see how it might be confusing for some guests, especially if they don’t have Wi-Fi to access the self check-in information from booking. Additionally, the hotel is a bit out of town, so I would only recommend staying here if you have a car to drive into the city easily.

Very comfortable and fancy looking place. I liked everything in the room because it’s complete with everything I need plus the location is central.

It was a bit hard for us to find our room as the room numbers are written so tiny on the side of each doors. The self check-in process was very simple but it’s just that there was no one around just in case you need help with something. For example, the hair blower in my room wasn’t working and I got a super late reply with my concern. I already checked out before they even told me they will replace a new one.

It's a quiet hotel, which is slightly out of the center of the city but well connected with bus routes, local attractions such as Perlan not too far away and tours will pick you up from hotel Island a minute walk away. The check in process was easy and straightforward. The hotel itself is a little difficult to locate, but it's a large set of black rotating doors with R13 above. The facilities were all great, the kitchenette was particularly useful for me and I had no issues with the room. I really enjoyed my stay.

It would be great to have staff on site and have the bar open as it looked like it had a lot of potential. A hotel sign would go a long way to making it easier to find, I think.

I liked everything about staying at this property. The room design and comfort, quality fixtures and fittings, powerful shower, and overall cleanliness all get top marks from me. The unexpected housekeeping service was evident and appreciated. Such a peaceful, pleasant 3 night stay. THANK YOU!

I can't really fault this place. I read previous reviews saying that no staff were available, too far from the city, but i booked regardless, and it worked for me. However, I would've liked to see the impressive bar/reception/ lobby areas operational. This place is well ran even without seeing any staff.

I had to be in this area for some work and booked one night here. I had little expectation that this would be any good as it was quite cheap for the Reykjavik district. What I found was a fantastic boutique hotel that has amazing rooms and is very clean. Nearby are a number of decent restaurants within a 5 minute walk.

Some won’t like the fact that you are not in the downtown district but it is a quick bus ride or 40 min walk to get there. I have to say that the self check in was a different experience. You punch your code in to the right of the entrance door and you walk in to a very cool looking bar and lounge that is completely devoid of people. I’m here at off season though so that might explain it. You go to the bar and punch in your own key and away you go. In fact I did not see another person on my stay. If this means the price stays low at what is a fantastic place then I’m good with that.
