The hotel is small, clean with very comfortable beds & pillows. Icon has a lift - an advantage for people with knee pains. It is central, easy to find and a nice location. Burger King, La Pino'z Pizza and KFC are in the same area. Sukhna Lake, Bird Park & Rock Garden are in close proximity. Icon has a very nice pan Asian restaurant Hibachi where we had delicious Thai food. They also have an Indian restaurant Masalchi, we did not try that. We requested for couple of hours stay after check out time. Initially we were asked to pay extra, however within a minute we were graciously told to keep one room for a 2 hours more.

The hotel could use some TLC. While the rooms were clean and beds comfortable, the carpeting outside the room could use an upgrade. It was a bit sad looking.

This is a cosy boutique hotel with just 2 floors. It's located within the shopping complex in Sector 8C. The location was close to all tourist attractions - about 2 kms away from Rock garden, Sukhna lake etc. The rooms are elegantly done with modern finish. We booked 3 premium double rooms and they were spacious enough. Good food and in-room dining options. They have a small but good buffet breakfast that was a good start for our days there.

A small area for kids to play or lounge about would have been good. We had a bit of trouble checking in with luggage on ground floor and us waiting at the reception on the first floor.

Hallways have strong smell of food all the time, as restaurants are open to the hotel and hallways. person at reception in the early morning was unable to understand anything, asked us if we paid already, and then didn’t know how to open the door to let us out.

The hotel was a fairly close 5 minute auto rickshaw ride to the Rock Garden and the Zakir Hussain Rose Garden - both of which were well worth visiting. It was in a quiet location and the design of the hotel was really interesting. The hotel reception helped us to organise a taxi to Shimla. In fact, he was very helpful. We didn't take breakfast or use the restaurant here so I can't comment on that.

A very comfortable hotel with two restaurants. The receptionist was extremely helpful, he printed me off a map to the Rose Garden that is within walking distance and arranged a taxi to Kalka that was at the price I was expecting. I did a bit of research before leaving the UK so I knew the rough price of the journey. Some of the other hotels I stayed at had a 'hotel price' for taxis.

Hotel Icon is well located within Chandigarh - close to all the major attractions. My room was large, comfortable and clean. All staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good - as was all the food. The onsite Hibachi Restaurant was particularly good - hats off to the talented chef/s - the food I enjoyed there was the the best I've had in India thus far!

Great hotel! Really comfy beds and pleasant rooms in a good location. There are 2 really nice restaurants attached to the hotel and there are plenty of great food options nearby. Only 10 minutes to all the major sights by autorickshaw and the staff are very helpful.

If you’re a western traveller, the rooms might seem a little tired, as some floors are scuffed etc, but this didn’t affect my stay!

Excellent location, central to all tourist location, markets etc. Ideal place to stay if you want to be close to all amenities.

The room that was given to us was not up to standard. The bathroom was mouldy and the room itself showed signs of wear and tear. However the staff were accommodating they tried their best to clean, but then upgraded the room for us.

I ate out for breakfast so no idea what Icon's breakfast was like. The room although compact had everything for a comfortable stay including some smart modern controls for lights etc. Management was very friendly and helpful.

There was a series of random and loud dull thuds every morning. I could have been people on the floor below opening and closing their doors, but some sounded louder than that. It made it hard to sleep in...
