We booked this place because it is connected to Munnar Info tour company and we wanted booking day trips to be as easy as possible, and this was absolutely the right decision! If you are overwhelmed by all the options in Munnar and don’t know how to decide where to stay in relation to day trips and other activities, just stay here and let the front desk employee take care of the rest! We could book day trips the evening before and they all left from our front door (and the guides/trips were all fantastic!)! The hotel itself is great! Beautiful balconies overlooking the valley, floor-to-ceiling windows, comfortable beds… all as or better than expected! The restaurant food was delicious and reasonably priced; since it is difficult to walk around due to the narrow roads and fast cars, we ended up eating dinner here every night and everything was great! The included breakfast was also delicious and offered a good number of buffet options! The hotel is right around the corner from an auto stand so it‘s always easy to grab a ride somewhere if you need one, and there are also a couple snack shops there as well. A great sunset viewpoint is only a couple-minute auto ride up the hill.

- The front desk wasn’t always staffed, so there were a few times we had to come back a bit later to get assistance, but we were also there right before Christmas so they may not have anticipated how booked they would be and it may not usually be like this. It wasn’t a huge deal to us but a slight inconvenience. - It would be nice if the breakfast buffet was available for longer. It was only open from 8–9:30 am while we were there, which didn’t work great for some of the earlier day trips or if you want to relax and sleep in.

Had a delightful 3 night stay. The weather in mid-Feb made a non AC room perfect, and the views from the top floor room were stunning at sunrise. Everything was spacious, very clean and had all the basics provided for and done well. Breakfast consists of a nice simple buffet (toast, tea/coffee, fruits, and 2-3 south Indian dishes which are different each day). Further items can be ordered on top of this for extra. Dinner consists of North Indian and Indo-Chinese options that are all really affordable, in large portions and very tasty. Everything's made to order. Nice bonuses include the option of having tea/coffee delivered to your room each morning to enjoy on your balcony and the hotel being run by / linked to the Munnar Info team who run lots tours. I did the full day hike with Vijay, which was an absolutely fantastic day and took us through tea planations, forests, jungle and up a great height and also showed us lots of different fresh fruits and spices would highly recommend. The hotel is run by Manoj, who has been doing this for 12 years. he's exceptionally kind and patient as a manager and often is running things at the front desk, answering everyone's queries with great clarity. The rest of the team at the hotel are all very professional and polite - even when other guests weren't the same. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone visitinf Munnar.

Card payment is accepted but only for the accommodation. Food and other things need to be paid for by cash. Overall this is fine, but certainly can be a struggle for travellers to India when ATM withdrawlas are challenging and people are running low on cash. Would be nice to have the option to pay everything by card, even with an extra 3% charge.

What a fabulous place to stay. The room was wonderful and the view fantastic. Tours can be booked at the desk, run by the same company. Manoj the manager is super helpful with suggestions. The restaurant downstairs starts breakfast on time at 8am and will even provide tea and coffee in the hour before breakfast starts. Dinner starts at 5.30pm, no being forced to wait till 7.30. You can ask for a kettle in your room too. These guys have thought of everything and you shouldn't hesitate to book. It's 20rp into town on the bus or 300 to 350 in a tuk tuk. Personally I think staying out here with the view is the best choice. I was even given a very cheap ride on to my next destination as they were doing an airport run anyway.

Well run with very helpful desk staff who were able to arrange all trips through the same company at reasonable prices The room looked out over a valley with tea plantations and there was a beautiful dawn chorus of birds with a perfect sunrise in the background which you can enjoy from a private balcony Restaurant is fine although we walked 200 metres up the road to a large hotel one evening for a change

Nothing really We were worried about the location by the road but you did not notice it once inside If you want a beer that is available too

Good, friendly hotel where you are made to feel at home. Our room was big and comfortable with a private balcony and a beautiful mountain view. The hotel is well located, an easy 20 min auto ride to Munnar town, and is next door to the Kathakali show (also worth a visit). The manager and staff are incredibly friendly and eager to help with anything, including booking taxis, organising tours etc. We did a tea valley day tour with Mahesh, who was a great driver and guide, full of interesting information about the region. Highly recommend this hotel.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome during our stay, they even helped us to book a train for the next part of our journey and were very kind to pick us up and drop us off in a taxi wherever needed. There were a number of trips available to take from the hotel. The half day hike was great and the views were amazing, our guide Vijay was very good and made the trek enjoyable. The food at the hotel was also delicious and the room was very comfortable, with stunning scenery surrounding.

The beautiful location, is a perfect for relaxing amongst nature. I had a dorm to myself which meant I also had the terrace above to myself. Pure bliss. Nice hot shower. Staff were super helpful with anything needed. Little extras in the room like toothbrush, soaps and towels make all the difference when you’re solo travelling and staying in dorms.

The only problem which is through no fault of anyones..The dog outside kept me awake barking till the early hours. Can’t be helped when it comes to wild animals I guess.

The view is incredible! Not tea plantations but jungle and mountains. Amazing sunrise. Nice big clean room. Forest sounds, peaceful. Staff was friendly.

The food was not great and expensive. No better food options within walking distance. They didn’t serve lunch, so you had to travel to find something and transportation in Munnar is the most expensive we’ve seen in India. Tours were ok but very pricey for India. Communication in English is often difficult.

If you get Montain View Balcony Room, it has amazing views of Munnar Mountains. You can see the scenary & views of hills changing every 1 hour. Sunrise, set, clouds, rain, fog has amazing effects on the view. Room is large with 2 large double beds. Breakfast has good south tiffin + bread-jam, coffee, tea and milk options. Lunch / dinner can be ordered via whatsapp which is very creative idea Room has instructions leaflets every where clearly explaining what & how tog et things. Reception and hotel staff were very nice, courteous. Overall Munnar people , taxi drivers are nice towards us.Hotel Room has 2 large beds, mini-fridge and water, and TV with many channels, and great view. You can hear so many song-birds almost entire day. Valley view is also beautiful with lush green trees and flowers. We could not find any mosquitoes there, which i pleasantly surprised. Grocery shops, pharmacy & a government health clinic nearby.

As the hotel is situated right next to an open valley like area, it attracts some insects, ants and moths by the evening. We must close windows and drop curtains to avoid these getting into room. This should have been notified to us to avoid surprise. It is good to know so that we do not leave windows doors accidentally open. While its perfectly normal to have insects in that natural habitat , an advance alert to guests would be good. Munnar main town is nearly 9 KM away uphill, so you may end up paying extra for your siteseeing taxi hires.

This was overall a very good stay in a large room with a balcony facing the pretty valley just as promised in the description of the hotel. The location was for us perfect as the busy and noisy town was an easy and fun bus ride away with the bus stop just next door . In addition, walking distance to the evening cultural performance as well as to a sunset viewing point.

We stayed two nights and had two breakfasts. First morning it was almost bedlam with way too many people trying to eat on the same time. The breakfast started at 8 but many treks started at 8.30 so a much earlier opening of the breakfast room would be highly desirable. We were allowed to come at 7.45 but nothing was ready then so it didn't help really. Second morning only a handful of people having breakfast so much nicer and calmer.
