Lovely evening meal. Fantastic live band in the bar. Very comfortable.
Understaffed for breakfast. One waitress for the whole restaurant at breakfast time. Food cold, ordered coffee got tea. Asked for toast, none arrived. Didn't want to ask again as the waitress was already trying to do the job of 3 people. It wasn't her fault. She was lovely. There just should have been more staff.

Hyland Burrens was a very nice hotel clean and quaint. The room was very small and only one small window, but the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and we did have one dinner at the hotel which was exceptional. There is a bar with the hotel and with music. This was a perfect Irish Hotel and Bar and in a lovely town. The restaurant down the street Monks is well known for their food and for good reason, but make reservations. We stayed here two nights and enjoyed the area. I'd recommend the hotel but the rooms are small but cozy! In the picture our room was the one between the two flags.

The hotel was SUPERB and some of the reviews on booking.com are frankly unbelievable. Someone complained about breakfast - it was FANTASTIC, with fresh orange juice and wonderful choice of food, someone else complained about the food in the restaurant- it was EXCELLENT and of the highest quality and another moaned about the young staff, they were super friendly, efficient and professional. I am not sure what some people want but having been to almost a hundred UK hotels this is one of the very very best! The icing on the cake is the FREE live music every night in the wonderful bar. Wow!
Nothing other than the ridiculous reviews moaning about it when it is so obviously a 10/10 rating. In fact it should be 11/10 due to be the live music.

Lovely hotel, great location. Restaurant/bar were great. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room and bed were comfortable. Room was a little damaged/aged in places but decor was still beautiful and everything was spotlessly clean. Would stay again and recommend.
Overall, everything was great, so no complaints as such. If I had to pull one thing, its that it would have been nice to have breakfast included in the original rate as opposed to an extra payment. Obviously I knew this was the case at booking so this isn't a complaint at all, just more a suggestion. I wouldn't have considered the booking rate 'cheap' so having breakfast already included in that would have been a nice touch.

A lovely pub in the centre of Ballyvaughan, very characterful and exceptionally comfortable room, amazing bed, great bathroom, very spacious. Quirky sloping floors and lovely furniture and comfy sofas and armchairs dotted around the place. A very young team of very hardworking staff couldn’t have been more polite, attentive and welcoming. Great food served in the bar and good value for money. Fabulous breakfast with a lovely selection of goodies to set you up for the day.
Nothing, it was a really lovely place to stay, made by its lovely staff.

The room was nice. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Entertainment in the bar in the evening was good. Bar food was ok.
We did not know beforehand that the restaurant was going to be closed and only bar food available. On our first night at about 2am an alarm went off, we thought it was the fire alarm, got dressed and went downstairs. Everybody went about their business in the bar and we heard someone say alarm went off by accident. Got no apologies.

We enjoyed our stay in Ballyvaughan. The little town is compact and friendly. The waterfront area and nearby local walks are lovely and the location is perfectly situated for visits to Galway, the Cliffs of Moher and sites in the Burren. The hotel has a slightly run-down feel to it but we appreciated its funky layout and it's accomodating staff.
Breakfast at the hotel was convenient but not exciting. Some pancakes or French toast would be a welcome addition to the menu.

The Hylands Burren Hotel was very comfortable, fresh and clean, quiet, lovely friendly helpful staff, and the little touches were gorgeous.. handwritten note in my room and a box of chocs! Had a fabulous stay and would stay here again. It was a great location for exploring both the Burren and the Wild Atlantic Way. We climbed Mullaghmore during our stay and it was perfect for that! The bar food was great and there was also live music in the bar on the night we stayed, which was really nice.

Booking process were painfree and they communicated with me frequently. I made a reservation for dinner at the Restaurant, went down seamlessly. The dinner was absolutely amazing, food of high standard. It was the night of the All Blacks vs Springbok (South-Africa) final, the pub was packed and it was just nice. Bedrooms are nothing luxury, but it is clean and comfortable (which is what is most important to me) and better than what I expected and the staff is absolutely welcoming and helpful. We will be back.
This is a 3-star Hotel so everything was as expected, there is nothing for me to complain about other than the wifi which were a bit spotty.

It was a nice traditional type of country hotel with a bar at the side that had live music each night - traditional music the both nights we were there. We had a bar meal one evening which were excellent. See menu photo. The staff were lovely and we enjoyed our stay. The location was ideal - a 10 minute walk to the excellent Monks seafood restaurant, about 30-40 minutes drive to Cliffs of Moher (down scary narrow roads) but not too far from the main road back to Dublin. We went kayaking in the bay which was excellent and we saw lots of seals. We also drove round to Fanore beach was lovely. If we had had more time we would have done some walking in the area.
I guess the only thing might have been that you had to say whether you wanted breakfast or not the night before - we kept forgetting but actually there is a place to grab a bite just around the corner.
