Enjoyed the view of the working waterfront. Plentiful street parking so we could avoid paying for parking in the crowded parking garage. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and roomy.

The bathroom was very small with no counter space for toiletries. While there was a small table and chairs, it was in the back of the room and would have liked to have room to sit in front of windows to see the view. A little inconvenient was the location of the room. Once off the elevator, had to open a door and go up several stairs to get to the room. Mostly only a problem when trying to get a heavy tray of food up to the room (as there was no room service).

The room was lovely and comfortable, spotlessly clean and perfect for the two day stay. The staff are always polite, helpful and ever so friendly and make you feel so welcome. Food was fabulous, we had dinner on the Friday evening and breakfast both mornings, could not fault the food or the service.

Only thing I didn't like was on leaving the lift on first floor we had to climb 8-10 stairs and I suffer with mobility issues, however this was my own fault as I never mentioned it on booking so it is not a criticism of the hotel or the service as I never made anyone aware of my situation so can't expect them to know.

The view to the Cobh harbour was the main plus. Also, the atmosphere of this fine Georgian hotel.

The bathroom extractor was loud, waking us up during the night. Water was overflowing from the shower area into the bathroom. Window handles would need repair. The lift was quite small. A professionally printed folder with the hotel amenities and attractions nearby would be nice instead of random pieces of paper and poor quality walk route map. We got only one (giant) room key per four persons, so we had to share it but I guess it reflects the old-charm character of the hotel :). A fridge in the room would be nice, too.

A great grand old hotel.packing a lot of history. Rooms were very clean and modern. Situated on the prom over the road from the Titanic experience.I went out of season and got a complimentary upgrade with a Seaview. I'd worked in the area around 15 years ago and remember the hotel when it was tired and worn but booked here on a local friends recommendation, and I wasn't disappointed.

The restaurant was obviously geared towards American tourists. Some traditional Irish Food would have been nice instead of the overpriced bar snacks food. The charge for parking was an inconvenience.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. Nice and helpful staff, very friendly. To me pillows didn't fit but this a very personal choice, not any claim to do. Building is really beautiful and it is quite Central to everything. A big thank you to the great staff and for the lovely stay.

Breakfast. I had to wait to be served for ages. Then when food came it was cold. I ordered poached eggs and they came fried and yolk was completely solid. I asked for eggs to be changed and another age to be waiting for. When the poeched ones came, again yolk was solid which is weird taking into account they were poached. I didn't say anything else as it became completely pointless. I think this is not a fault from. The hotel but the restaurant. About the hotel, nothing to complain really.

Had a clean and comfortable room overlooking the sea and all the action of the boats coming and going on the window seat. Even had the pleasure of seeing the Disney Princess cruise ship docked and leaving too. Handy for nearby attractions in the heart of Cobh. Little touches like leaving water, muffins and oranges in the room were welcome. On site parking, first come first served was a bonus, as parking on the street is difficult and not too bad a price.

No separate lounge to sit and have a drink other than a noisy restaurant attached. Breakfast not included in the room rate.

We had breakfast in the Commodore Hotel every morning throughout our stay and dinner on one of the nights, food was excellent and extremely good value for money. Only issue the kitchen had run out of mince and this was very disappointing for the kids who were looking forward to having spaghetti Bolognese for dinner. The hotel is extremely clean and all the staff we dealt went above and beyond in securing us parking space for the second night of our staff. The Commodore Hotel deserves 5 star for views alone and 4 star overall as a hotel.

Nothing. Just would have been appreciated if the hotel had advised on booking form that parking space is available on reservation.

We had a wonderful stay at the Commodore. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the room was fantastic. I stayed here about 6 years ago and it was lovely to see the rooms had been updated and modernized since my last stay. We had an amazing view of the sea and were happy to sit and watch the boats coming and going. The amenities in the room were excellent, we made use of the smart tv, excellent WIFI, tea and coffee facilities and the bath. There was also bottled water and on the go breakfast of fruit and a muffin provided which were a lovely touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back in the future.

It was a little loud in the morning with deliveries but we did stay midweek and had one of the windows open due to the summer heat.

This hotel has a very interesting history and looks beautiful

The room was incredibly hot even without the heater on, opening the window was no option because of the snell and noise of the kitchen blower. In the middle of the night, 3 AM!, the alarm of the hotel went of. We all woke up and we were all in shock and figuring out if we needed to evacuate. After a minute the alarm stopped. I called the reception. The guy there seemed annoyed and said it was a false alarm. No information and no apologies whatsoever. Not professional at all. It took us ours to get back to sleep. Even in the morning, no word.

I absolutely loved my stay in this hotel, and I am SO glad I chose to stay in Cobh over Cork. This hotel was beautiful and historic, and my room was super spacious and so comfortable. The staff were lovely, especially the receptionist on duty when I checked in and out (2:30pm Wednesday and 11:30am Friday - thank you!). They even provide crackers, fruit, muffins, and coffee facilities in the room. It's the little things! The location was great, close to the rail station and overlooking a beautiful little park and the cruise ships. I'll definitely come back to the Commodore if/when I return to Cobh.

Nothing to complain about!
