The Room, spacious, bathroom was very good. All Staff, from reception, restaurant and house keeping were exceptionally friendly. Restaurant staff dealt with a problem with our evening meal exceptionally well. Breakfast was very good.

Room lacked luxurious details, the carpet was tired and stained in room 108 We had booked the Fota restaurant but were directed to and seated in the Amber restaurant until we noticed the menu wasn't as expected and asked to be relocated. Service at the restaurant was a bit chaotic and the staff said all restaurants were was exceptionally busy. Our meal arrived quite late and was cold but staff did their utmost to rectify the situation and on that basis we would return again.

Breakfast was lovely. The rooms, grounds and facilities were spotless.

Staff and service in the bar was lacking. Loads of staff and men in suits busy cleaning glasses and concentrating on making cocktails, completely neglecting the customers and lacking a friendliness factor. I stood for ages at the bar waiting for my presence to at least be acknowledged and this happened to many of the guests both evenings of my stay. Really lacking in the warmth of welcome that we received in the reception on arrival and at breakfast. More customer care required

Food was Excellent. The Cove Restaurant needs special mention and it was Exceptional. Staff friendly Knowledgeable and very attentive in all restaurants.

Hotels grounds were absolutely exceptional! The walking trails for an evening stroll after dinner in the amber lounge was a treat! Fabulous staff and amazing food!

The helpfulness and pleasantness of staff. I find this really important. Couldn't fault any of the staff from the moment we arrived until departure. Had breakfast in our room every morning and the service was excellent and the food was also very good. We ate in the Amber Lounge and also the clubhouse. Food and service was good on both occasions.

There was nothing that greatly annoyed us. If I was being picky I would say the housekeeping are a little overzealous but that is probably a plus actually. We just needed to be in our room more than most travellers I would assume, and found the regular knocks on the door a little distracting but the staff themselves were lovely and put up with us constantly saying no, not yet.

Exceptional stay in a beautiful hotel. First time guest, and I would without hesitation stay again. From the reception at arrival, through to departure, everything was faultless. The rooms are beautifully decorated and so spacious. The bathrooms are generous in size with both bath and shower. The quality and comfort of the bed & bed linen was a delight. I slept so soundly. Hats off to the chefs, the food was amazing. Special shout out for the sticky toffee pudding!! The customer service was exemplary for anything we required. The staff are beautiful trained and are a credit to the hotel. I look forward to visiting again in the future.

Everything was amazing. The staff are soo friendly and helpful. Hotel is Spotless clean. Brilliant facilities. Food was lovely.

Swimming pool facilitied a bit too small for being a spa hotel. I also found very disappointed with spa treatments. My husband and I had different treatments at the same time and both complaint about fans beings extra noisy inside the room during treatment. You could barely hear the relaxation music. Room was also quite cold for a spa treatment. We did not enjoy our massages either as we found them not very gentle for relaxation. I would probably not book again a massage there. I also found a bit of atention to detail needed in the facilities. We booked one of the suits and bathroom floor had stones lose from grouting. Also, very drafty windows in the restaurant if you were sitting near them..

Great breakfast with a mix of cold buffet with plenty of options + hot food to choose from a menu, all included. Bedroom is very spacious, bathroom equipped with bath and Italian shower. Elegant and spacious dining rooms, amazingly attentive and friendly staff - nothing too small, clearly very well briefed and managed to ensure clients are always at the center of their attention...consistent experience across staff. Fota wildlife park at your door step (less than 5mns drive).

Having to book each and every slot for breakfast/lunch/dinner and attendance at the swimming pool. On the flip side, it ensures the pool is not overcrowded when going.
