Comfort, courtesy and attention of the staff. We expected a basic three-star at the 89 euro room-only price and got a modern well appointed room, and good service. We'll remember this for another date. Breakfast selection was good too. Location is opposite the Dublin City Civic Offices by Christchurch, well away from the noise of Temple Bar. Two parking places on the street might be lucky for a drop off.

Ideally they could provide a kettle and mugs in the breakfast room for people who like real tea. You can't make Barry's tea with the hot water from the machine that is made for herbal tea, it's not hot enough. And on the booking form, move the final checkboxes to ABOVE the signature box, I could not see them at first (expecting signature to be the end) and thought that the form did not work.

The location is definitely the strongest point of this hotel. It is close to everything! It is very close to Temple Bar (which is nice when you want to go fast to bed after a night out/restaurant). We never had to walk more than 15 min to reach all the things we wanted to visit. The staff is also super friendly! Check in can be done at any time (we arrived at midnight) without any problem. The room was very spacious.

Although its location (in a quiet street) in Temple Bar is amazing, it also comes with a disadvantage: it can be loud during the night when partying people go back home. We slept with the windows open since it was warm. I cannot judge when windows are closed. The bathroom is not the most practical. The shower head of the bath/shower cannot be moved. The sink has 2 faucets (cold vs hot water) so it is not possible to have a specific water temperature. In addition, the faucets are placed very closely to the sink edge so that it is impossible to use the faucet without having water everywhere.

I arrived at the hotel having booked in on line. Painless experience I have to say. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel smelled lush.. I asked for a rm change as I didn't want a rm opposit the lift. This was done with no fuss. Went to the room, it was clean and comfortable lovely coffee machine. Phoned down for a hairdryer as the one in the rm didn't work. The receptionist arrived with replacement, the original was working but I was not using it properly. All was done with a smile and very helpful. The bed was very comfortable! I was more than happy with my stay. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Only slight down side was the eggs at breakfast reminded me of those sweet eggs because they had been pre fried and had been in ban~ Marie for some time but for 14.95e I think it was ok. The coffee was gr8 as was the coffee in the room.

Location was great. The room was very comfortable and big enough for three people with the three twin beds we requested. The staff were very friendly and helped schedule a cab for the ride back to the airport when the city was very busy. It was within walking distance to just about anything you would want to do in Dublin including Templar Bar area and restaurants, including nearby cafes for breakfast.

The temperature in the room could not be controlled and it was too warm with 3 people in it. The window could not be opened because it was raining and there was some noise below. The price was a bit high for what you get, however, this was because it was the NCAAF football game weekend when all the hotels were increasing the price.

I arrived Friday 4pm with my girlfriend. The lady at the front desk was exceptionally polite, friendly, helpful and professional. Also the gentlemen working behind the bar was quite patient with us, took time to answer our questions and go through the drinks on offer as we weren't sure what we were in the mood for. I wish I had asked for their names because they deserve a special mention for representing this hotel so well. The hotel was in an amazing location, so close to many great attractions like Temple Bar and The Olympia theatre whilst also just enough streets over to maintain a quiet peaceful atmosphere around the hotel itself. We encountered no noise issues and no problems in general. We left so happy with our stay and we will be visiting this hotel again on our next trip to Dublin.

Absolutely nothing. Everything met my expectations brilliantly.

Will definitely stay here again. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and were more than willing to accommodate us when we needed to make changes to our booking last minute. Rate was very reasonable, and the room was clean, spacious, quiet, and kitted out with everything including an iron and ironing board. Bed was comfy, and the bathroom was also spacious and clean, with a full bath and a great shower. We wish we had found this spot sooner, because our other recent stays in Dublin have been similarly priced but nowhere near as nice.

We didn't have any issues.

Everything. This hotel is worth every penny. The location is exceptional, just a short walk from the main attractions and evening pubs, yet situated on a quiet street. Comfortable beds, a spacious room, and a large, clean bathroom by local standards. They provided water in the room, a coffee machine is available for guests (remarkable for a 3-star hotel), and they even lent us power adapters. I would definitely recommend it, and if I return to Dublin, I would stay at Handel's Hotel again.

Nothing, everything exceeded our expectations

The staff was quite helpful, also when we forgot to bring our electric outlet adapter. The room was comfortable and it had a nice view. The location is very good, super close to touristic places and monuments, and it is located in the Temple Bar area, which is quite very nice for going out at night. The bus stop to get to the airport is also quite close. There is a nice pub next door where you can have dinner (with some live music if you're into that) and a nice café on the other side where you can have breakfast too. I would stay here again.

The elevator was slow and small, the pillows were a big too big and not as "foamy" as I would have liked. The sink in the bathtub was quite slow, so you'd end up with a small swimming pool for your feet after showering. They didn't have toiletries like a comb.

April 2024

Location was great, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Teeling distillery 20 min, guiness storehouse was about 30 min. Less than 10 to the cathedral and castle. Right next door one side is a great pub called Darkey Kelly's, go early, it gets really busy, other side is a nice little breakfast cafe that opens at 8.30, great food. Hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were super helpful. Bed was pretty comfy, ensuite was large. Shower was super powerful although it took us a while to figure out taps are not hot and cold ! FYI they are temp and throttle. Nice to have a quality coffee machine, shame the cups don't fit without removing the driptray. Small annoyance having to ask for more milk all the time, supplies seemed a little stingy.

Only thing I really missed was having a small fridge. Bit of an essential to have a good supply of cold bottled water all night when you are in the home of guiness and whiskey! Our room was also at the back of the hotel, over the courtyard of the pub next door so it got a little noisy at times. Tbh that didn't bother us too much as we tend to travel with earplugs anyway. It may be that this is the difference between a standard double and a deluxe room. I couldn't see much difference in the options listed other than aircon which I didn't think would be an issue in April.

July 2024

Location was excellent. Staff extremely helpful and very friendly. Rooms were very satisfactory with all amenities you need for a stay.

Rooms and hallways could have air conditioning as it was a very warm and humid evening and we were both extremely warm and sweaty from lift and hallway to room and then in the room. A small fridge for milk or drinks could also be provided. Breakfast was not to my liking. Maybe it was due to our time arriving. Items were very dry or overcooked. Only one pastrie item was left. Dining area was extremely clean and staff very helpful.
