The air-conditioning/heating was absolutely amazing! The bed was also very comfortable and the shower was really clean and powerful. The owner was very accommodating about check-in time so we were able to get checked-in a little earlier than 3pm to dump our luggage and head out into the city! Location couldn't have been better, almost directly opposite Temple Bar and other great places to eat and drink! We were able to log-in to Netflix and Prime really easily, decent sized TV for the room. Handsoap and toiletries were lovely! :)

The mattress had a sharp wire/matress spring poking out of the side of it that both me and my partner cut our legs on a couple of times during our stay. We felt the room was very small for the cost per night, so not great value for money from that perspective. There was also no hairdryer which I was disappointed about as I had not bought one because it was listed as being provided on the room description. We also had a bit of an issue with the shower flooding the floor a bit and some of the lights in our room weren't working. There was also no daily maid service so we had to make do with the same towels for 5 nights. :/

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Temple Bar Rooms, Dublin, and was greatly surprised at the entrance, however, once you accessed the Rooms, we were pleasantly surprised to report it was a good experience. From the moment we arrived (20-21/08/2024), the access system and the room was brilliant. The accommodation was clean, bright & compact. It had all the usual amenities i.e. separate shower/toilet. Sink, bed & makeshift hanging clothes area, together with a stool in the main area i.e. the sink is in the same living area, which was not an issue for us. There was a TV, which low & behold had Netflix already built in (so if it rained too much to be outdoors, at least you could 'Netflix & Chill' as it were)... The Rooms are situated almost bang in the vicinity to Temple Bars, which meant getting about from there to all the sightseeing tours and places, was a doddle. There is a 'but' though.... the bed is not a UK sized double bed and whilst there may have been wee Leprechauns who would have found this size, more than adequate for their needs back in the day, they would certainly be bigger today (the bed size in the room we had (02) was a large single)😂. Luckily, we are small-ish people, so it didn’t present too much of an issue for us (although we would have preferred twin beds), but you should be prepared... just in case♧. In any event, we would happily recommend this hotel to family and friends who are looking for a clean, comfortable, stopover and we would definitely stay there again. 👍

Bed size.

The room had everything we needed for our short stay. As a family of 4, lots of sleeping space. Quality bedding and clean facilities. Coffee maker and water bottles on hand. Fantastic communication the whole time on where to store luggage and access to the building. Loved our stay!

Although the location is great for exploring, it’s noisy with only a single pane window. It didn’t bother us as we were tired from our trip but for light sleepers, ear plugs are recommended. Also, not for the faint of heart as there are many flights of stairs depending on what floor your room is on.

great location! the host responds promptly to questions. Clean bathrooms, sheets, towels and easy door locks systems are great features of this property.

there was a sewer like smell coming out of the bathroom, so I had to close the bathroom door and that helped a little bit.

We had a pod room on the main floor. The property was an excellent location, extremely clean room, fantastic staff for check-in and they even let us store our bags in the basement as we arrived in Dublin quite a bit early for our 15:00 check in time. Absolutely loved the proximity to downtown and how convenient it was to be staying within walking distance of almost anything we were hoping to do with our small time in the city. Most definitely would recommend staying here especially for any couple like us who are just looking for a cozy, clean and comfortable private room from which to enjoy the charm and amazing nightlife Dublin has to offer.

Honestly not much to say here. We were thoroughly pleased with our stay and will be for sure looking to book again next time we make it back to the city.

The room was in a great location. It was easy to find and access thanks to clear instructions sent in advance. The room was well cleaned and had a nice bathroom.

The safe didn’t work. There were many stairs to go to the room and the size of the room was quite small. These two things would make it difficult to use for anyone not so mobile, or travelling with more than carry on sized bags.

The perfect location to explore Templebar and Dublin as a whole. The room was big and great for a group of friends. The beds were super comfy and the toiletries were really nice.

The bathroom being a glass wall and sliding door was a bit strange for us. The coffee machine didn't have any pods for us to use so we didn't use the coffee machine, a kettle would have been better for making drinks.

Clean, plenty of towels and good location

The code to get into the property had apparently been changed for some reason and a person standing outside the property had to let us in - checked and had not received a message with the new code..

You couldn't ask for a better location in Dublin. Hiphipstay is right on the river, at the end of Capel Street and across from Parliament Street in Temple Bar, at the heart of Dublin's gay scene and nightlife more generally. The room was comfortable and modern. I was arriving early and Philip went out of his way to accomodate me. I really appreciate that and I will happily stay again.

These are very minor issues but perhaps worth knowing: due to its excellent central location, you're likely to hear a lot of noise from the street. This didn't bother me so much as I'm used to city-living but it's worth bearing in mind. Likewise, the bathroom light turns off automatically after a while but as the partition between the bathroom and bedroom is made of glass, the light can be quite bright at night as you wait for it to turn off. Very minor issues however.

This was in the perfect location for me, easy walking distance to where I needed to be, bus dropped me almost right outside from leaving the airport, was clean, modern and tidy with a lovely view of the riverside. Also had a a little fridge and coffee machine which was a nice touch.

The only thing I could fault is the water pressure.. the water went off while my friend showered .. but I got in a little later and it lasted fine.. but it did go off again while using the basin.
