I had requested a room on a high floor with an open view and got it; the room was spacious with a fine bed and good facilities (tea/coffee etc) and heating at the touch of a button; check out is 12; there was a bathtub (rarer nowadays) and I was very happy to use it; location is very good - about 10 minutes' on foot from southside downtown (St Stephen's Green) in a nice area; the building itself is quite beautiful with a huge, gorgeous sitting/drawing room (relax space area); the person who checked me in was friendly (saw no one on check out)...

Not a fan of having to leave the key each time you leave the hotel - I find this a bit old-fashioned; and also having to give/fill in the name of the other person if it's a double room (which I think was default when I made the booking - for just me - anyway)...

The breakfast was at the Iveagh next door - very delicious breakfast! Great selection of food. Double room is a nice size (high ceiling). Hotel has an ideal location, on green line Luas.

The radiator in the room was set very high, it was like walking into a sauna. Took awhile to cool the room down, never expected to have a window open and a fan going in a hotel in December in Ireland! The building itself though is very warm - which is good - but can make the rooms stifling if the room heating is on too.

The only thing that was missing was a refrigerator.

The location was perfect. Rooms were cozy. There is a tram service just infront of the hotel so easy to commute. It isn't a very quiet place due to frequent trams moving infront of the property and there are pubs around which could add more to the noise. But overall it was a comfortable stay.

The bathrooms could have been better. There was no mat in the bathtub which caused me to slip while bathing (injured my should - but it was minor). The pressure in the shower was not the best and the switch and towel hanger were broken. However, the reception staff was friendly and offered us an option to change the room located at the basement (this was newly built). This room was perfect as there was no bathtub in this one :) and it was spacious too!!

What a beautiful Georgian town house hotel and spotlessly clean. Large rooms and very comfortable..staff were friendly and helpful. Staff aware it was my daughter's birthday and they kindly left us some gorgeous chocolates which was a nice surprise!! Tea and coffee in the room. Very comfy beds and beautiful bathroom. The breakfast. Was in the hotel next door and had a terrific range of food everything you could want..a self service buffet. We would definitely return again, a central location close to St Stephen's Green and a reasonable price.

The only thing to say was our room was at the front of the hotel facing the street and aware of the tram noise.

We had a beautiful room, the Parnell Suite, with extremely tall, decorated ceilings and the bed located upstairs. It was a very comfortable room, with a desk for working and two sofas for hanging out. It was definitely a good haven on the cold days we spent in Dublin.

Some construction was going on in the townhouse connected to our hotel. The noise of the drill or jackhammer or whatever it was started at about 8 am. It wasn't terribly loud but a bit annoying.

Nice hotel clean and warm . Just stayed one night . Very convenient location for city centre . Luas stops outside the door .

When I rang Ryan at reception to ask when the drilling might stop felt he was dismissive and couldn’t wait to end the call . Not a big deal but reception staff should always be interested in a guests query and concern . That’s the job front of house first impressions.😉

We liked absolutely everything - the location is spot on, the old building is beautiful, we loved the carpets, and the room was so spacious!!! There was also a lot of attention to detail, e.g. hooks in the bathroom (always missing, even in really expensive hotels) and plenty of space for towels and our own toiletries, well thought through lights, enough coat hangers etc. Breakfast was brilliant!! The staff was super friendly.

It's not something we didn't like, it's more something to be aware of: the hotel is just around the corner of Iveagh Garden, and if there's an open air concert on, you will hear it. In case you like it quiet and peaceful check out the concert schedule before you book a room in this lovely hotel.

Bed was super comfy. Room was very spacious (we had room 3) and very clean. Bathroom was very clean, enough toiletries. Kettle and options good, with PLENTY OF DECAF - a rare thing...thank you! USB chargers on the plugs, so although lovely property with plenty of character, there are modern touches. Staff extremely helpful and polite...we noted four in total we encountered and could not fault. Breakfast at the sister hitel next door, The Iveogh, was AMAZING! Those Irish sausages....the best! Staff great there too. Great for location for Dublin Express...2 min walk... great for Sugar Club...10 min walk.

We had the window open (ground floor) and its unfortunate that staff smoke outside at the back as it blows in. We did close it...but not great as the smell lingere for a bit.... perhaps suggest somewhere else for that?
