Didn't actually stay in this property as they experienced a flood and could not accommodate guests. The reason for this review is to share that the property went well over the norm to find alternative accommodation and followed up to make sure I was happy. I felt it important to let fellow travelers know that this property has integrity even though they had a disaster.
All good

Location was excellent within easy walking distance of major Dublin landmarks, pubs and shops. We walked to the National Museum of Ireland, Trinity College, Dublin Castle, and St. Patricks Cathedral. St. Stephen’s Green is 1/2 block away as are the shops and pubs on King Street and Grafton St.
The breakfast which was included was decent, but didn’t include any custom made hot dishes like eggs or pancakes. It was primarily a cold buffet. Rooms are small, but typical of the area. However, the bathroom was very large with double sinks and a nice size shower.

This was my second stay at Albany House. I had stayed here one year ago and was satisfied with my stay on both occasions. Albany House does not have an elevator or bar or some of the features of larger hotels. But I like that the hotel is in a series of interconnected Georgian era townhouses, so there is a memorable ‘Dublin’ feel to this characteristic accommodation. I love using the beautiful staircases. The breakfast was good. The staff were always friendly. I asked for a room overlooking the street. It was quiet because the hotel had installed double windows inside the historic frames, and I slept soundly. - I would happily stay at Albany House on my next visit to Dublin.

Location: The hotel is within walking distance of some of Dublin's best tourist attractions (and the famed Grafton Street). And if you need to travel a little further, a tram stop is just a short walk away. Room: Our room was very large, and included a sitting area. It was also very clean, and very quiet for sleeping. The bed was very big (a king possibly), and we had plenty of pillows to choose from. The bathroom was also clean and large. I was extremely impressed with our room for our four night stay.
Not an issue for us, but the hotel has no elevator, and for those traveling with heavy bags this may be a problem. I would simply plan ahead and request a room on a lower floor. Also, not an issue for us but I assume the rooms facing the front of the building can get noisy from the street below overnight. We had a room facing the back, and it was very quiet. I thought the breakfast was somewhat lacking variety. The staff was working very hard, and what they had available was good. I just felt a few more options should be provided.

The first night our bedroom was a bit noisy and my son got a bad bout of allergy. The reception did everything they could to make it better and the following day, we were moved to another room, in the upper floor, that was especially thoroughly vacuum cleaned and the rest of of our stay was perfect. The staff friendliness made our stay there feel very homey, breakfast was totally good, particularly enjoyed the cheese selection, the traditional bread and the fruit salad. The location is great, within walking distance from everywhere in the centre. Quite close to the Aircoach stop, for those coming from the airport.
Noisy first bedroom, really advise those who are more sensitive to noise, to make that known at the reception. They will certainly lodge you in one of the upper bedrooms facing to the back. Breakfast was very complete but would have been perfect if there had been some choice of salad and tomatoes. For people with difficulties moving, there are many stairs and no lift. Was not a problem for us, but could be for people with strollers, walking canes or the like..

Location, location, location. We dropped off the rental car at a hotel right around the block and it was an easy walk. it was an easy walk to the LUAS tram stop, and the Dubliner Express (bus coach to the airport) was again an easy walk. Breakfast was great. It wasn't a full Irish breakfast, but totally adequate with plenty of grains, carbs, and proteins.
It's to be expected for the location, and we were only on the second floor and facing the street, but we could hear tram noise. There were two sets of windows, but the outer set was open, and we wouldn't open the inner window to close the outer one. That would have reduced the noise, but it's not a dealbreaker.

The location of the hotel was good, well connected to the tram services however we used cab (Bolt & Uber) for most of the occasions as it was more affordable that way as it was a group of 4 friends. The rooms were sufficiently big than I expected them to be. Also, the staff allowed us for early check-in and were ready to store our luggage as we had plans to explore Dublin before our check-in time but we were lucky to get the rooms ready early. Also, somewhere since most hotels in the Dublin city are pretty expensive hence would recommend this one as its slightly cheaper that way but don't expect high tech features. Being old style construction, it gives benefits of larger rooms, comfy bathrooms etc.
Well, we had also asked the rooms to be on the ground level as the hotel is a old building converted into a guest house and hence it does not have lift. Hence be prepared to lift your heavy luggage if you get rooms on above or below ground level. We had rooms below ground level, hence we had to lift the luggage but else, the hotel is good.

While this is an older property "sandwiched" in amongst a long row of buildings, the property was clean and well-maintained. It's in an excellent location, just a short walking distance to St. Stephen's Green, a nearby HoHo (hop on/hop off) bus stop and any number of good restaurants. Very friendly, attentive and professional staff, good WiFi. We considered Albany House a good value for the price, considering other hotels in the area were quite a bit higher. Excellent continental+ breakfast with a lovely dining room downstairs. We had previously heard of some concerns over noise from several local clubs, etc. but we never found it to be an issue. There is also a tram that runs in front of Albany House; while our basement room faced the street, noise was never an issue.
While we're fairly able-bodied, and stayed in a basement room, there are stairs only in Albany House, with no elevator. Those who have issues with stairs should ask about booking either a basement or ground-level room (and I beleive there are rooms all the way up on the 5th floor). There is also no (or very limited) on-site parking.

Our stay at Albany House was positive. The location is a few minute walk to St. Stephen's Green and we were able to quickly walk to shops and bars. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast has a variety of food offered...hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, cereal, rolls, meat, cheese, coffee and tea. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.
There is a bar diagonally across the street from the Albany House. Our room had windows on the street so on Saturday night it was difficult to sleep with the noise from the bar. We stayed at the Albany House for four nights and there was only one night where this was an issue. Be aware there are no elevators and you might have several flights of stairs to climb to your room.

the staff is everything you would hope for - polite, easy to talk to, welcoming, and helpful - that includes the reception, the cleaners and the dining staff. The room was nicely Georgian. The beds were comfortable. The duvets and pillows perfect. We were very happy with our choice. The location is excellent. You can walk to any tour bus within ten or thirty minutes. and to wonderful pub and, restaurants, or just go to one around the corner. The breakfast here is very nice. French press coffee at your table. Fresh fruit. Croissants just like in Paris. After returning to USA it's just disappointing to eat our dairy products :(
I couldn't find any electrical outlets close to the bed. There were plenty of outlets, but all a bit far away to use my phone as an alarm clock etc. Not a big deal. I set alarm on really loud. Ask for a better view than we had - ours was rooftops.
