The Devlin is truly of the boutique category. Very charming decor. It'll give you the feeling of an old movie theater, which I might add there is a movie theater on the premises. The lobby restaurant serves up some delicious treats for breakfast and lunch during the day and becomes quite a lively social scene at night, complete with live musical performances. The Italian rooftop restaurant, with its beautiful views, is a delightful dinner option. There are probably 80 rooms across 2 floors. The rooms are cozy and equipped with a snack shelf and fully stocked minibar. The entire staff is friendly and helpful and does their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. If you're thinking of staying here, be advised that it's a short light rail ride to the Dublin city limits. The neighborhood is safe and has an array of restaurants and pubs that are in easy walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is about a 40-minute taxi ride from the Dublin Airport, as well as an express bus from the city.

There wasn’t much that I didn't like overall. The only issue with the room in which I stayed was the absence of a closet or any place to hang your clothes. The quarters would certainly be extremely tight for more than one person.

The hotel is really well decorated and the ambience is really unique. The hotel room was so nice and the facilities were exactly what we needed. The beds and shower were really nice. Would highly recommend the hotel as the staff are so friendly and their service was above what we hoped for. The hotel stay was perfect.

I did chose a smaller room so we should have gone for a slightly bigger room. But that's not a reflection on the hotel. The only downside was we couldn't have a drink in the rooftop restaurant as you needed to have a meal there and we had booked elsewhere. However, the downstairs bar is really good and made up for it. But will try it the next time we stay.

The room was quite small but lovely and decked out with lots of high quality extras such as a dyson hairdryer, slippers, hot water bottle and snacks and full mini bar. If you wanted these beverages or snacks they cost extra but it was nice to have the opion. Bed was comfy and shower was lovely.

The room was a little small and I could hear TVs from others rooms and noise from the street. I stayed a Sunday night so it quieted down after 11pm or so. I was thinking of getting room service but honestly the food from the restaurant was super expensive so I ended up heading out for dinner instead.

Breakfast was lovely. Though slightly overpriced. We paid an additional €40 to get breakfast when checking in. Slightly expensive even by todays inflation standards. Then when we arrived for breakfast and seen the prices we actually only would have spent €37.50 had we not bothered adding on as guests, therefore there isn’t much incentive to bother. We were also slightly confused as we weren’t sure should we stay within the €40 or could we get whatever we want (as is the case with other hotels) BUT what we did have was lovely and the staff were amazing and VERY friendly.

The rooms are VERY small. I know they say they are small and for what we needed for one night it was fine. Bearing in mind we paid just under €400 for that one night I don’t think we’d justify staying again purely for leisure purposes which is unfortunate. Laylas the rooftop bar is advertised a lot and they also mention cocktails etc. When we arrived we asked to see their cocktail menu in the americanas bar (14:30 in the afternoon) and we were they don’t do them during the day. It was a beautiful sunny evening and we were staying for a concert so we then headed to the rooftop just before leaving but as it happens that is only for food and not for just drinks . The website is a bit misleading on this.

Nice modern hotel with friendly staff. The hotel room was lovely and clean with nice features such as a snack wall, mini bar and Dyson hairdryer. The shower in the bathroom was lovely with a rain shower with instant hot water. The staff were very friendly and when we checked in we were all offered free cans of water.

The hotel itself was quite expensive but it is a 4 star hotel so it would be expected. The rooms are quite small but still comfortable and it does say the size before you book. The snack wall and mini bar were a nice feature but were very expensive compared to buying the items in a shop.

This hotel and staff were absolutely amazing and lovely with me. I was stranded in the lobby of another hotel for 6 hours without being able to check in, and I had no sleep for 24 hours. I rang The Devlin looking for any options, and they took me in first thing that morning and were so attentive. I had a lovely shower, rest, and delicious food whilst there. I can't thank them enough, I will be back soon. Thanks ❤️

Nothing, just perfect

The hotel exceeded our expectations! The decor throughout was fabulous and the rooftop restaurant was a great touch, especially as the sun was shining all weekend. The rooms were quite small, but they were good for what we needed. And the mini bar was very well stocked too! The bed was super comfortable

The service was a little slow at times in the restaurant, but we weren't in a rush and it did not impact our stay.

Everything about the hotel is done to a very high standard, the room, restaurant, staff and rooftop bar are all really well done. Having not been to Dublin before, the location is also excellent because there is plenty to do nearby if you don't want the chaos of Temple Bar.

As expected, Dublin is not a cheap weekend - despite this I would say that the Devlin is good value, and if you're going you may as well do it properly i'd say.

Great location, clean and staff friendly and helpful

The room was extremely small and there was nowhere to properly unpack clothes into, the bed was in an alcove with only one edge to get out of meaning I had to climb over my husband to get out of bed- not easy when you’re a bit older and trying to get out in the night without disturbing the other half!

Everything was great - the hotel is well organised, considered and gorgeous. Check-in was very smooth, they let me check in slightly early so no waiting around, though I would happily have waited in the bar, lounge or wandered around Ranelagh. Rooms are lovely and very nicely decorated with everything you need. Bar is gorgeous and the restaurant upstairs has a lovely atmosphere, great staff and the food is great. You can even get takeaway freshly made (delicious) pizza upstairs.

The rooms are quite small, but they make that clear on the website and the rooms are identical to the photos. I was on my own so plenty of room but I'd definitely book a larger room if I hadn't been.
