Breakfast was lovely food area bit smal and seating had to que outside dining room

When we arrived at hotel my daughter stepped out of car in carpark and straight ontop of a syrige thank god there was no needle attached.ordered our drinks and food which we had to wait for over 30 min food arrived and had to ask about our drinks.Went for drink in bar that night stood by counter as you walk in for 10 min decided to go around to other side to see if it was quicker as did another couple but were told go back around noone was seving at that side even though pumps were on.It was quiet obvious from the way staff were and there actitudes that theres poor management in bar and resturant as it wasnt that busy.

We had a large family room. Loads of space and appreciated the water in the room. Good toiletries. Super comfy mattress and pillows. Good location and value for money.

Ordered and paid for a dessert plate for the room for my daughter's birthday. I expected at least happy birthday to be written on the plate but it was just plain with 3 small bits of cake that nobody ate because it looked like it had been there a long time. The carpet was stained. The fire alarm went off at 3am, thankfully a false alarm. Breakfast had a good selection but the scrambled eggs were extremely salty and it wasn't very hot.

# The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. # The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. # Plenty of parking available. # 401 bus outside the hotel into the city.

# Shower was poor enough and the iron was missing from the room even though we did have an ironing board. # I found it a bit far from the city center but booked this hotel to be close to a concert in the airport. # 15 euro each for breakfast if you book the day before, 18 euro each if you turn up on spec. Seems to be the norm nowadays in all hotels. We decided not to have the breakfast there in the end. # No residents bar for a drink when we returned to the hotel.

booking.com didn't let me know when booking that breakfast wasn't included. reception didn't ask me also when checking in hotel layout makes it very hard on people with any mobilities issues, I would check to see where you are to be located in hotel when booking. Had issues finding my room when arriving and had several guests (non-Irish Tourists) asking me for directions when i was there. Apro - being directed for breakfast from reception, i was pointed up the stairs to the restaurant, not to an available lift (if there was one),

I thought everything was excellent. I would give ye 5 stars and highly recommend staying there. Breakfast was brilliant, with so many options covered, and a great bonus to start your day. I thought the food was very good quality generally. Maybe the choice on the dinner menu was a little conservative but what we had was very good. All staff were really lovely. I felt very at ease there. I liked that there was a casual area to go for snacks, then the option to eat in the bar, and then the restaurant...

Nothing I didn't like with regards to your hotel. I just think it is crazy that it costs so much to stay in a hotel in Ireland. If that improved I would make staying in a hotel a pastime.

Lovely modern hotel. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the blackout curtains. Also room service food was delicious.

We didn’t have much to dislike at this hotel. I suppose we would have to say that the temperature of the water in the shower particularly can go from cold to almost boiling in just a slight adjustment of the tap. We thought it could be a little dangerous. Also the pressure from the shower was weak and we weren’t a fan of the rainforest fixture but that’s a personal preference as I’m sure others would like it.

Check in staff Friday afternoon very nice. Lobby food in bar bedroom bed v comfortable amd quiet.

11 am checkout time on a saturday os ridiculous....I hadn't read the sheet with details we were given so never noticed.assumed 12 pm like most places. It also was Never said on checking in....and everything else was....including they said breakfast until 11am.....so how would u be having a late breakfast and checking out at the same time?? On check out I expected to be asked if I had a nice time etc. ...which didn't happen not friendly on checkout... ( as room was rang to tell us check out was 11am and we were obv late...) which I said at desk when checked out..but no acknowledgement that these things happen....left a bad taste unfortunately

Attentive and helpful staff both in reception (Aoife), and in the bar where the service was efficient and food quickly served. I am very thankful to the staff for providing me with a hot meal just after closing time when I first arrived having driven from England.. this was much appreciated.

Having stayed four nights, and two or three times each year, a change of bar menu would be inviting. They seem to have had the same one for sometime. There was a constant buzzing or circulation fan whirling in the room. I have noticed this before in other rooms. Whilst not a reason for complaint it can be irritating after a while. I turn the AC off as I like to sleep with the window ajar. This is a popular hotel and beginning to feel and look tired. In need of some investment.

Hotel was beautiful, so clean. Staff were so friendly and the breakfast was fabulous. The swimming pool was lovely and warm. Our kids left their advent calendars behind. A Staff member went over and above to help arrange for them to be delivered back to Donegal. I forget the man's name, I wanted to add it to my review. Robo? We really appreciated that. The kids are talking about the hotel since. Would highly recommend.

Couldn't say one bad thing about the hotel or the staff.

The Clayton has a great location for those traveling by car. It's close enough to the city center that car trips are convenient, but far out enough that it's not too hectic. The rooms were comfortable and air-conditioned. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The parking was ample, and while not secured, was in a safe area on-site. There's also a bus stop right next to the hotel for other excursions. There are several restaurants and shopping centers close by, too. The continental breakfast buffet was wonderful and had a wide assortment.
