The hotel is right next to the airport, which makes it really good not only for early flights but also for visiting the nearby NEC and connecting to Birmingham in about 15 minutes by train. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is decent. No noise whatsoever, you don't hear any planes or even the monorail in front of the hotel. Price/quality ratio was okay - but nothing too amazing.

The keycards are simply bad. Almost everyday they would "stop working" and we had to ask the reception staff to reprogram them. They claimed it was due to visiting the NEC (and passing through the metal detectors) but we clearly confirmed wasn't the case. Apparently, if you don't book breakfast with the original booking, they cannot update the lists if you purchase it afterwards - we had to explain every single morning that we did purchase breakfast and they had to confirm it with the reception staff. Why not just update the list?

I stayed here for a convention at the NEC, the monorail takes you from Birmingham international to the airport where you go down a lift and walk literally across the road to the property!! It was so handy and convenient. Food was reasonably priced also. The room was warm and comfortable and very quiet, the shower was huge and the lighting mirror was amazing! The bar staff and waiting staff were all really kind and lovely, One young man even opened my bottle of drink for me so I could take it upstairs.

There was a really long wait to check in; I waited around 25 minutes in a queue but it was a busy weekend so it might not be like that for you. The check in staff seemed quite stressed and overworked so weren’t very friendly at points, when my key card got deactivated each time I went to the NEC it took them until the very last night to tell me it happens so I kept having to go all the way up to my room and back down again several times. My television in my room was supposed to have chromecast but that didn’t work but that was fine.

It was walking distance from the airport and really handy for NEC. We were down to go to an event in NEC and it was ideal as we just had to go on the airport link to the railway station and there was a walkway inside to the NEC. Really easy. We ate at the hotel 3 times. Food was OK and service was good. Limited choices on the menu.

Our digital key card kept not working as we were going through the airport each day. The security at NEC also had a scanner which could have caused it. The staff however were very good at reprogramming it for us each night. It is needed to use the lift and the stairs as well as getting into your room.

The exceptional services from Wale and Carmen. If it is possible I would like to recommend them for employees of the year. The journey that I was making from Ibiza to Wales took me 2 days and 2 nights was difficult as I was travelling to Wales to be with a member of my family who is seriously ill. I was very fragile by the time I arrived at Birmingham Airport from Palma and was wheelchaired by a member of the Special Assistance team to Ibis. I was supported by Wale who was on the reception desk when I arrived. He was patient and supportive despite being very busy. Also the next morning from 5am until 7am he continud to be supportive and caring. . I enjoyed one of the best full breakfasts that I have ever experienced and Carmen provided excellent service and was caring and supportive. My sincere thanks.

Great location very close to airport departures, around 5 minutes walk slightly longer from arrivals. Staff very efficient at check-in despite the very late hour of arrival! Good room on the 1st floor, no noise even though we overlooked carparks, perfect for our needs. Had kettle with tea/coffee/milk. Loved the bathroom it was like our very own spaceship capsule 😍 surprisingly large shower and very powerful, good comfy bed Staff at breakfast very pleasant and welcoming. Nice breakfast choices of fruit juices, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, breads, croissants, tea/coffee plus hot cooked breakfast buffet not on a large scale but plentiful and replenished quickly. I can fully recommend it has everything you need for an airport hotel. Would stay again. Thank you 😀

the room was good and very near the airport. We booked the hotel to visit the NEC rather than going flying, but i would book it again and is still good for the NEC with the little shuttle train which was running all the time so there was no build up of people waiting, did not have breakfast so cannot comment

the only thing i did not like but that is our issue not anyone or hotels, is that the shower bathroom had a step up to it from the bedroom. This is fine for myself, but as my husband has dementia and cannot judge the distance he could have hurt himself on the step up, but the design of it is very good for most people. If you have mobility problems it may cause some issue.

Situated right at the Birmingham International Airport, it offers easy access to the terminals, which is ideal for those with early flights or in situations like mine, where unforeseen delays can disrupt travel plans. Overall, I highly recommend the Ibis Birmingham International Airport for anyone needing a convenient, comfortable, and accommodating place to stay. The staff’s professionalism and the quality of the accommodations made my stay stress-free and enjoyable.

Lovely fresh and clean - short distance from the airport terminal. Loved that we could get passenger assist to collect us from the hotel and take us all the way through to airside in one easy ride. This is an excellent service to have as a disabled customer with an elderly mum with mobility issues too. Made the anxiety of travel low and the comfort high. The room was perfect. Small and compact with all amenities we needed for a one night stay after a late flight. We checked in after a delayed flight and we were able to get drinks to take to our room. We left very early so only stayed about 4 hrs but everyone was very helpful.

Uber wouldn’t pick us up directly outside the hotel. We had to walk round to the terminal building which was difficult and painful. The night manager said it is because the cars have been fined previously so they all pick up from a designated spot which for able bodied people would be ok but not for us who have hidden disabilities or mobility issues. This needs to be looked at urgently.

Clean, modern, intelligently designed rooms: good value, excellent location just a short walk to the terminal. We had a good shower and sleep before an early flight.

The busy restaurant close to the entrance was very noisy, some people drinking and smoking outside the entrance to the hotel. The member of staff at reception ignored us while engaged in a lengthy phone call - we were attended to by another member of staff who eventually saw us waiting. We understand when staff are busy, but a simple acknowledgement or even a smile is helpful in those circumstances.

We arrived on a late flight from Madeira, but everything was ready for us on reception. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was excellent. The cooked breakfast was very good. The location couldn't be more perfect for anyone flying in about midnight after a long flight. Also an excellent location for getting a black cab for the ride home to Sutton Coldfield.

We were not told on arrival about midnight what the breakfast hours were. We were lucky to be served just after the closing time of 10.00am.
