The location is perfect in Bergamo. Close to shops, bars and restaurants. It is about a twenty minute walk to Citta Alta and the same to the Bergamo train station. We got a taxi from the airport for €20 on arrival but took the local number 1 bus back. This bus is outside the train station back to the airport. The Angolo Del Poeta is a very well maintained property, which is very easy to find. We had room 20 on the second floor. This was one of the best hotels rooms I have stayed in. It was a very authentic Italian cottage room which I can’t rave about enough. The manager was a lovely lady, who couldn’t do enough to help us when needed. The staff are friendly and very approachable. All the local eateries, coffee shops and bars are friendly and well worth a visit. We loved the local ILounge.

The building is wonderful for history loving persons. We really appreciated the genuine feeling of the inner courtyard, the terrace and the rustic rooms. The whole place is made with good taste. There is a little stream at the back of the building, for us it was quite pleasant to listen to the soft sound of the water flowing. The area is very nice, with lots of small cafeterias, restaurants in nearby, good to wandering around. The lower city center is at 15 minutes and the Citta Alta around 25 minutes of walking distance. The room was large, clean and the bed was comfortable. It was always warm and cozy inside the room. There is also breakfast possibility, but we did not opt for it. The staff was kind, very helpful. The communication was easy.

Sound proofing is minimal (e.g. when people are coming and going at night), but understandable for such a wonderful historical building. It was quiet though through the night. It would have been nice to have free, easily accessible wall plugs near the night stands.

Beautiful B&B in old charming house. Proper cleaning. Friendly host that was easy to communicate with and to get support from when needed. Delicious breakfast with good service, loved to be met with the question, how would you like your coffee and eggs? The neighbourhood was a positive surprise with charming streets. Also loved the church bells ringing outside.

Some leaking taps and while properly cleaned when we arrived the old house mold started to be noted after a couple of days. However, Im sure we could have had an additional clean if we would have stayed longer, so that factor would not worry me to much.

The most charming place we have ever stayed in by far, and we travel a lot. The building looks like a medieval house of nobility with an inner courtyard and outside hallways with pillars. The room was actually two bedrooms on two levels, the upper one like a loft. There is exposed woodwork and stone walls and it all looks like the inside of a castle. Despite that, it was warm in December and the bathroom was very modern. There is also a hot tub. There was wine, fridge with beer and an electric kettle for tea. Breakfast is 8 euro and worth it. Standard staples plus they made scrambled eggs for us. Parking is a 5 min walk away and costs 12 euro. They send you a code to enter the building.

This was an unplanned stay, I arrived very late and the room was warm, spacious and somehow welcoming. The reception desk was unmanned at near to midnight but a key was left for a latecomer with easy instructions on how to access the room. The shower was powerful and there were plentiful towels. Wine and water were available to buy in the room for a reasonable price. The building is charming. Would have gladly stayed longer. I met the receptionist the next morning and she was friendly and allowed me to leave my case in the hotel until my flght.

The bedsheets were clean and lovely, but the thick bedcover smelled like it perhaps could do with a wash! But other than that, everything was great.

This is a place full of character, a very well renovated classical Italian house with a courtyard and rooms off balcony. We arrived late and the instructions for how the access the room worked very well. The location is perfect , a 20 min walk from train station and to old town, also plenty of bars and restaurants in the ares and supermarket close by. We had breakfast in the cafe next door, plenty of choice around. Would highly recommend, just check that the room doesn't have winding stairs that would not be child of people with mobility issues friendly.

Location, interior design, comfort - just a high class. We enjoyed our stay in Angolo Del Poeta hotel, that place made for us a full unforgettable experience of Italy. This hotel's location is neat, it's close to everything - city center, train/bus station, restaurants and pizzerias (e.g. Bella Napoli, just visit it, their pizza you will never forget). Thanks to the great location we did not use any transport in Bergamo during our stay, just walking and falling in love with the architecture of the city. The room was clean and quiet, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Next time we will come to Bergamo - definitely will stay again in that great place.

We had 2 floor room for family of 4, and it was exactly what we needed. Price / Performance is very good. Its not city center, but if you are ok to have 20 min walk (uphill), the location is good. Parking is underground and is convenient and close to the place (5min walk).

Breakfast room has just few tables and it might take time to get your seating. Also, not sure what happen during our stay, but there was a hot water shortage during late evening for approx 1hr, which was an issue in Jan, Hope this was one time accident.

Fairly good location 15 minute walk from the bus and train station. Near a supermarket, not in the prettiest part of the town. Big room, comfortable bed.

There is a kettle but no coffee. Two bottles of complimentary water would be a nice touch. Noisy fridge so we unplugged it. Breakfast was not included, however you can pay a little extra for it so we had a look at the breakfast selection and it didn’t look great so we can gave it a miss and went across the road to a little café and had coffee and pastries there at a very reasonable price.

Very large room - virtually a suite. Part of a complex 50% occupied by permanent residents. Privately owned. Interesting and quirky. Although on arrival TV and A/C didn't work owner soon arrived to fix.

Instructions regarding parking facility. Parking in a nearby underground carpark with difficult access, particularly for 'low slung cars'. Whole parking arrangement 'somewhat chaotic' Dingy stair access to room. Small river immediately next to our room very noisy - couldn't realistically open window. Half hour walk to Bergamo old town.
