A wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of Cortina. Each floor is dedicated to different aspects of fashion and luxury, meaning each room is "crafted" differently. This is well thought through by someone for whom hotelier is an art form. It was all very tastefully done and nicely arty. Breakfast is excellent as indeed are the staff. There's even parking as part of the service. Highly recommended.

Perhaps the rooms on the lower floors may be a little dark for some tastes. The lack of a walk-in shower (at least in our room) might bother some. It could have been made more explicit, but don't allow that to be a deal breaker. Book this hotel anyway. It's outstanding!

Most of the staff is amazing and extremely nice. We've seen three persons at the reception, a gentleman that was the nicest person ever, a blonde woman that was very kind and always helpful and another woman (dark hair) that will be mentioned in the next section. Also, there was a Ukrainian girl in the breakfast area that was extremely nice and friendly to us. The breakfast is very good, lots of options to choose from. Location is absolutely perfect, right in the center of Cortina. Free parking was very nice but can get crowded and difficult to park if you have a large car. The room was very clean and comfy!

The dark haired lady from the reception was not friendly at all, had a bad attitude and was the only one that had asked us to leave the room key at the reception when going out. I've asked why and she said in order not to "checkout" without handing back the key. We felt weird about that, didn't like it at all. Never been asked anything explicit like that anywhere else. It's a high end location, not a cheap motel where things like that happen. It's a bit odd that absolutely everyone else was amazingly friendly and kind and this is the only score point I've deducted, otherwise our stay would have been a 10. Other issue was the bathroom tub placement, you just cannot shower easily without flooding the entire bathroom, had to clean it up everytime we showered.

A very quirky property. The staff were helpful, breakfasts were really nice and the room was comfortable. Location in town is terrific and parking was available.

There is a building site to the rear of the property which means it is noisy during the day and has lights on at night. It is possible to block the light by closing the shutters, and the noise is greatly reduced when windows and doors are closed. As it was quite warm, we chose open doors.

- Good location, 2 minute walk to main square, 5 minutes walk to supermarket (Conad). - Small, but comfortable room. - Free parking in the hotel (outdoor) carpark next to the building. - Roberto from front desk who checked us in and was there in the evenings was very friendly and professional.

- There was an old sock on the floor in the middle of the room. Room was otherwise very clean. - A little bit expensive for what you get, but I suppose that’s the price of accommodation in Cortina.

This is an unusual, artsy botique hotel in the heart of Cortina. The floors are named and ours was called Romantica. That probably explained why we had a very large spa bat..but no separate shower. Rooms were nice and staff very helpful. Location was excellent, as was the breakfast.

It took some maneuvering to figure out how to access the hotel by car. Parking was difficult to access as well. We weren't crazy about the artistic choices but that's a matter of taste.

Ambra Cortina Hotel is a fabulous place to stay in the heart of Cortina d'Ampezzo. I frequently travel for work and was very impressed by my stay at the hotel - definitely one of the best experiences I've had. The entire staff - Mudi, Alessia, Francesca, Bianca, Tania, and the housekeeping and restaurant staff - are wonderful and are quick to provide support and offer recommendations. I was very impressed with how each staffer provided excellent, friendly, helpful assistance and went above and beyond to provide the highest quality service, giving the hotel a five star service feel. The rooms are beautifully decorated and immensely comfortable. Linens, pillows, and towels are very high quality and provide an excellent night's sleep and the bathroom amenities are excellent. The hotel is well situated in the center of Cortina, close to all restaurants, grocery stores, bars, and cafes and is a 1 minute walk from the bus station with the bus to Venice. I appreciated the owner's meticulous eye for design and how each room presented a different theme, giving a unique and classy experience to the guest's stay. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of choices and options. I will definitely stay here again!

Seriously awesome place to stay! I regret having to leave to my next hotel. I loved the shower, Erica the receptionist was so awesome!! and others too. Super central like, in the middle of the Cortina centre. They are superb in customer skills, greeting with a cafe and biscuits and then leaving with sparkling water. Carpark awesome and free!

the staff made the property amazing - special mention to Noemi, Mudi and Elia who were such great hosts and interesting people. the breakfasts are amazing and Ambra is close to the bus shuttle to the snow. the bar was also great.

our room was lovely with a spa but we also love a shower. We used the shower in our daughters room so not a problem but when booking it’s good to know.

Very nice hotel in the centre of Cortina. The staff was extremely friendly (the receptionist even spoke our language, Slovenian, which was a very pleasant surprise, also, since we arrived in the low season and almost all restaurants in the centre were closed, she was so kind to reserve us an amazing restaurant just outside Cortina with gorgeous view of Toffane and delicious food), the room was nice, comfortable and very clean), there's also a private parking beside the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel!

The breakfast is served (it's not self service), and since there were no other guests at the moment we arrived to the dining room, we were a bit confused and didn't even notice you can also order eggs, cheese, prosciuto... and thought that we can only order brioche and pancakes, which were displayed in the dining room, so be sure to check the breakfast menu before you order in case you want to eat something else. This is not critisism, just a recommendation to other guests.
