We loved the location, it’s in the most perfect place in the city, very central yet away from the overwhelming crowds. The room was well appointed, though the bathroom was perhaps on the smaller side. The breakfast was fantastic. We also appreciated the valet parking so we didn’t have to worry about navigating Florence’s tricky streets finding parking.

The room wasn’t ready when we checked in at 3pm. We had to wait an hour for the room to be ready. The reception staff blamed people checking out late, causing bottlenecks, but it wasn’t the best first impression. They did offer us a drink to make up for the delay, which was lovely.

Night concierge was not super helpful. When we stayed there was train strike and our train to Rome was cancelled. We contacted the concierge to see if they could help us coordinate a private car or taxi and she said no. That we would have to do this on our own. This turned out to be a very stressful event.

Location was fantastic. Everything was so close by including the train station for our onward journey to Rome. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. Breakfast was delicious with lovely fresh coffee. The views from the roof top swimming pool were amazing. We did the cookery course booked via the hotel and this was one of the highlights of our trip.

Pillows too hard. Swimming pool too cold but still a lovely feature.

the location was perfect and it as a beautiful property. very comfortable and the roof top bar was an amazing view. I had some amazing weather which was perfect and o see the views. I would like to say that Alissia at the front desk was amazing. I had my wallet stolen and lost all my money and credit cards and she was so helpful, making local calls and directing me what to do. I can’t thank her enough!!!

the beds were not the most comfortable but everything else else was amazing. I would come back again for sure regardless of the beds.

it’s in a great location just outside of all the tourist craziness but still close to everything. I really want to like this property and I’m sure that it rates rates an excellent in some areas - nice pool, nice gym, beautiful but Very expensive restaurant. great breakfast.

I stayed for 9 nights in a standard room. they put me next to a family room. there was constant noise of children and I had to complain many times. the room was extremely small but comfortable. NO COFFEE in the room. ridiculous. only water to purchase. my hotel in Rome which was half the price or less had both! The pool had screaming kids in it on several of the days without the parents or the staff monitoring them. my basic room was $500 per night.

Amazing location, and the rooftop pool is a fantastic bonus. The hotel room was very nice - we had one of the standard doubles - functional and very clean. We asked for a kettle and tea/coffee which came immediately. The rooftop bar is a nice treat, but drinks and food are very expensive - €15 for a glass of wine. Breakfast was good with some very nice cakes served each day, as well as fruit, yogurts, hams and cheeses, different breads, eggs, bacon, mushrooms. The coffee wasn’t the best we’d had in Italy, and tasted quite bitter. However, it’s well worth a stay here just for the pool and the views!

We stayed here for a special birthday and it did not disappoint. From the welcome by Serena at check in who sorted uffizi gallery tickets and have us great restaurant recommendations to the bar staff who make the best cocktails to the friendly maids who serviced our room, everything was perfect. The rooftop pool is an added bonus to cool off after pounding the Firenze streets. Breakfast is a delight, amazing choice of fruit, fresh croissants, bread, ham and cheeses plus scrambled egg, bacon and sausage. The rooms are a good size with a modem bathroom and air conditioning that works a treat without being noisy. All this does come at a price, drinks and food aren’t cheap (cocktails 18-20 euros) but it is all delicious and worth every penny. Located on the piazza Santa Maria it is in a lovely location close to the major sights. When we return to Florence we will be staying here again

It was a phenomenal experience of: Outstanding Customer Service, Beautiful Hotel, Great Location, Clean Room, and Great Variety Breakfast Buffet. My son and I are super picky and hard to please people; yet I whole heartedly agree with his statement upon entering the hotel: “Wow, This is so far the best hotel we have stayed at in Europe, I can’t believe we’re only staying here just 1 night!” Thank to the Grand Hotel Minerva front desk staff for making our 1 night a memorable experience!

The hotel is perfectly located in the city center. All historic sites, monument and museums can be reached on foot. The hotel is in a very tastefully renovated ancient building. Rooms are modern, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was of adequate size and the shower easily accessible (walk-in shower). The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful in all areas: reception, bar, breakfast and room service. It is worthwhile mentioning the breakfast: a large buffet with local specialties: a perfect start of the day. Finally the roof top bar and pool are exceptional. The view over the city with the duomo in the city center is just unique!

Our room was of adequate size though a little bit small. Drinks in the hotel are quite pricy which possibly explains why the hotel terrace on the square in front of the hotel was not really busy.

Wonderful welcome by Giacomo ( spelling?) red hair - you know who you are ! He was so pleasant and helpful a pleasure to meet at our checkin and a touch stone throughout our stay - amazing .Also Alesia at reception so patient with making reservations for meals when everywhere was booked out. House keeping were so good - catered for all requests , kettle , feather pillows etc . Hotel Grand Minerva was all we expected for a 5 star hotel and will definitely be back.
