Bellevue House is an older, delightfully authentic hotel that is conveniently situated close to the train station, local restaurants, and shops and is within easy walking distance of most of Florence's main attractions and museums. The owners, Luciano and Susan, were outstanding hosts! Kind, informative, and engaging. We needed a room with three beds, and they accommodated us with a lovely, comfortable stay. They have an elevator (note that it is a small one to two-person elevator), which is a plus for luggage, and there are stairs for traveling up and down if needed. If you are looking for a quaint, authentic, historical place to stay, this is one that makes you feel like a local. I prefer to live in the culture, and Luciano and Susan provided this experience. I'd stay there again.

Luciano and his wife were perfect hosts! He gave us all possible information we needed and with details. He was friendly and polite. It's an old historical building. We had a room with a view on the main road on the third floor. The room was spacious and comfortable. From our window we could look directly to the historical pharmacy created in 1221 just on the other site of the road! The location is just 5 minutes walking distance from the train station and the historical church of Santa Maria Novella and the Piazza with the same name with restaurants and coffee shops. Great location for travelers by the train!! Only 12 minutes walking distance from the city center and all the historical monuments, restaurants, bars, and coffee shops.

The furniture and equipment of our room was old but correct. The bathroom also, but in good condition. Difficult access on the third floor with a lot of stairs. There is a very slow elevator that can help, but the cabin is too narrow... There are access numbers for the main entrance, the elevator, magnetic key, electrical door with button, etc. A litle bit complicated... You should note all these on a paper and keep them on you, and not just have them on your mobile. If you find yourself in the night with an empty phone battery from taking pictures and the use of google map for directions then you could find yourself in a unpleasant situation...

I liked that it had ‘the personal touch’ the owners were very hands on and informative, however not overbearing. Typically Italian building. Ideal location to walk into the hub of Florence. Lots of restaurants nearby. Bed very comfortable. Shower hot. Very clean throughout. The property is on the third floor however there is a small lift, big enough for two, hilariously slow but hey you are on holiday. Would recommend.

What a wonderful place and beautiful people running this property! Lucciano welcomed us and provided us all the informations for museums, nearby restaurants, what to eat, what to see. Every corner of the accommodation shows the care they have given to the place and makes you feel that you are hosted in their home and not just in a property they have for foreigners All their kindness and willingness make this property so warm and pleasant that the departure makes you emotional! Looking forward to come back soon!

Luciano was the best hotelier I have ever come across. He introduced the building, a little of its history and gave us an introduction to our room. He made sure we knew where to go for dinner (3 options) and how to find our way around Florence. The room was older but clean and in a building 500 years old. The elevator is to be experienced.

The rooms were a little tired but nothing more than a coat of paint is needed It would be good to have milk available for tea/coffee.

We loved everything about our accommodation, right from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Luciano is a wonderful and friendly host. He was helpful and informative, and on call to any of our needs or questions. The place is kept pristine. Good food, train and things to see are all close by. We cannot say enough great things about our stay. 10/10 Thank you Luciano, you and your family are wonderful 🥰

Mr. Luciano is a wonderful host and very friendly and helpful! The room is quite spacious and has a historic vibe which makes it more appealing! The location is great, 10 minutes to the Duomo, and 10 to the main train station. Beds are comfortable, there’s a water kettle in the room, and a fridge and AC, and a small lift. Would definitely stay there again :)

The toiletries were not replaced, or the towels, and the cups and plates were not washed on daily basis, but maybe we needed to ask for that.

We only stayed for a night, but the room was very clean, the aircon worked great, and we slept very well. The property is in the best possible position, within walking distance to Duomo and other landmarks, plus plenty of osterie and trattorie around. Also, the owners (husband and wife) are incredibly kind and accommodating.

The location was very good, while Mr. Luciano was very - very much helpful and supportive to visit Florence, restaurants, museums. It is a place I would recommend somebody to stay. Plus is also the elevator, since when you have many luggage it is impossible to use the stairs.

Nothing negative to comment ; Mr. Luciano has put effort to renovate the rooms and the whole place.

Well located very close to the main station, car hire companies and walking distance to the main fights of Firenze. It’s an old building but all functions well. The owner is lovely, extremely helpful and kind. The beds were comfortable, it worked very well for us.

It’s old fashioned which wouldn’t be to everyone’s taste but we liked it’s quaint layout and the traditional styling. It had all we needed.
