I was charged for "Voluntary Staff contribution" which I was not aware neither when I book the hotel nor i did check in. They charged us 55 euro/night under this tax, Staff was very polite and I have nothing against them. But charging that way is not fair from the managment.

Beautiful hotel. Staff courteous and responsive..

Bathroom clumsy . Combined shoer in small high tub inconvenient snd dangerous. No comfortable informsl place to eat. Formal restaurant offers little simple choices.no local restaurants close by.

some modest items would have made a difference. It is rare when paying this much not to have tea and decent coffee making facilities in the room. similarly, a fridge into which there is room to place items would be helpful as opposed to a ridiculously overcharged mini bar some free bottled drinking water is a conventional. extra that was absent in this case

Old school Grand Hotel. Have always enjoyed staying here when in Milan. Staff is very attentive (though less so than before Covid hit). The hotel rooms are well appointmented and oppulently furnished. The location is an easy walking distance to the shopping district.

The dining and entertainment facilities look exactly the same when I visited the first time more than 15 years ago. While up to scratch, given the competition from other premium properties in Milan, perhaps a certain jazzing up would be nice.

It's the best 5*L value for money in Milan - nicely styled, conveniently located with well trained staff. Compares nicely to its peers. Good gym, internet, other facilities, meticulously precise cleaning staff.

Be careful when you choose rooms - smallest (Classic) options - you may end up in shoebox or in room that should be garderobe of the other room size wise. Especially via aggregators such as booking.com

The heritage, the hotel philosophy, luxury features in & outside the room, the view of the plaza, 24 hours room service, great wellness center w steam room & sauna, mattress large & comfy.

Location is good but not super central. Subway super closed by. Some common areas (such bar & breakfast room) look dated (like early 2000s & slightly tired). no coffe maker in the room. Parking was very expensive for Milan standard.
