Good hotel in a great location if you want to be close to the train station like us. Room was very good size with table and chairs too. After asking the breakfast lady if they had gluten free bread, she went to a cupboard & filled plate with bread, madeleine type cakes & crackers all of which were gluten free. They have a secure luggage room.

As other reviewers have commented a negative has to be absence of any tea or coffee facilities in the bedroom which are standard in most hotels. We also found the Reception staff quite stern in comparison to the cheerful porter or helpful breakfast lady.

Great location, close to the train station and also walkable to the Duomo and other tourist sites. Also close to various restaurants. Staff are nice and helpful. Breakfast was good.

No jug, coffee, tea, cups or glasses in the room. Only a couple of paper cups in the fridge if you want a drink of water.

It was our second time staying in the hotel, so we knew what to expect, and we were happy to be back there. The hotel is quite conveniently located close to the central train station and close access to metro and tram. This makes it a perfect place either to get to the city center or go for a day trip by train. The room was very specious, furnished to make you feeling the old charm from times gone by. Our room and bathroom were cleaned daily, so we always found them spotless clean upon return in the late afternoon or in the evening. Many nice places close by to go out for lunch, dinner or just coffee and cake. Friendly staff and all of them very helpful. If we come back to Milan, this will be the place to stay at, for sure.

The breakfast is generally good in terms of choice, quality and taste, if you are among the ones having breakfast early in the morning (shortly after it starts at 7 am). However, having breakfast later during the weekend was a bit embarrassing, as we found empty platters, and we had to wait for food to be re-stocked. At the meantime, we had to eat whatever was left, so no choice there. This was not a nice experience for a four-star hotel and the price you pay.

Great location with nice amenities and pleasant staff. Breakfast was very nice and the outdoor space on floor 5 and the rooftop are nice bonuses.

Room temperature was too high and not possible to regulate. A suggestion to breakfast team. Please make sure the food is available till end of breakfast time.

This was the first place we stayed in Italy, so we had nothing else to compare within Italy. The room was big, and the check-in was easy. The room had an ornate feel to it. We really enjoyed staying in the room. The elevators were fast! The breakfast was amazing! The must try for me were pistachio and marmalade croissants. I had multiple of those every morning! The cappuccino is to die for! The place was within walking distance of the Repubblica metro station. So getting around was very easy. We took the day pass and went to the Duomo (two stops), and the last supper was close by as well. The restaurant that the hotel recommended had amazing pizza and Pesto pasta. We ate there twice, which made the owner and the wait staff happy because they recognized us the second day!

The only thing that the hotel could improve was to have coffee in the room. But they made up for it with the cappuccino for breakfast.

Location of you are taking trains

People at the counter are rude. Breakfast is very basic, and to get a coffee is a nightmare. Forget about express check out ... need to do it on their time, so consider extra time if you have a train to catch

The location of the hotel was great. It is close to the metro station and to the Stazione Centrale (10 min. walk. The area is safe and there are plenty of restaurants and stores. The room was clean and quite spatious and the breakfast was fresh and tasty.

The room was very cold. The heating system didn’t work properly. It only worked the first two days, but it was still cold in the room, because it functioned improproperly. The third day and night it didn’t work at all! In Milan in March, the temperatures outside are quite low, so a functioning heating system is mandatory. The walls are very thin, you can hear everything from other rooms.

A classical 4 star hotel. Pretty spacy room, beautiful bathroom, very good beds and comfortable pillows. Flexible bedding possibilities. Very nice fresh fruit in breakfast buffet, a lot of choice (on the sweet side in particular). Windows with a good noise isolation, although the tram down the street was audible (ask backyard side room if an issue - was not a issue for us). Nice rooftop terrace with bar and music in the evenings, with views. Nice balconies on some floors, accessible from the staircase.

I would have appreciated the possibility to easily communicate if you don't want your towels to be changed every day or your room cleaned up.

The staff were incredibly helpful and communicative. The coffee and croissants were excellent—after all, it's Italy! The location was perfect, close to all the tourist attractions. We ended up walking 60 km over 3 days, which was a great way to enjoy the city.

The heating was broken, making the room very hot at 26-28 degrees Celsius—too hot to sleep comfortably! Although we reported the damaged thermostat in the bathroom, it was promptly repaired the next day after notifying the reception. For the first two nights, we resorted to leaving the balcony open to cool down (with temperatures around 10 degrees Celsius outside). However, this brought a new set of experiences: constant tram noise, car horns, and loud arguments from the street. Additionally, the breakfast was disappointing. The scrambled eggs were made from powdered eggs, the sausages and bacon were barely edible, and there were no juices—only sweetened, flavored water drinks. The boiled eggs were overcooked, resulting in green yolks and extremely hard texture.
