My husband and I had a great stay at the Pantheon Inn. The location is par to none - We loved the Pantheon neighborhood and the inn was right around the corner from an intimate street of delicious restaurants. The bathroom was a great size and we had a turn-over service in our bedroom every day. The street outside is not quiet enough to keep the window open at night with walkers-by and the occasional car roaring down the narrow street, but it was still a very quiet area considering we were in the middle of Rome.

The bed was hard and not our favorite; it was very hard and not comfortable, with a very thin sheet as the top cover. The air conditioning unit stopped working one afternoon and when we asked the reception, he did not know how to fix it and said "we will be comfortable with just the fan" - we were not. The next night was a different receptionist and that man did know how to restart the system so that the air conditioning worked.

Central location most everything you want to see is in walking distance. Francesca did the most amazing breakfast she went above and beyond to make everyones breakfast top notch. The bacon was absolutely GORGEOUS !! and she told us about the history of the hotel being a listed building she even made sure we had a breakfast on our last morning so we wouldn't go on our journey on an empty stomach, THANK YOU Francesca !! Thanks to Viru and his colleagues in reception all very helpful and always smiling !! and not forgetting the cleaning staff. our room was always immaculate when we came from a long and lovely day out walking our socks off. The room always smelt lovely and everything was very clean. The shower was heaven too. Not forgetting Viru for upgrading our room so we had a little balcony which we used everyday and also a lovely roof terrace where you could see the stunning statues of Piazza Venizia and the dome of the Pantheon. We would ABSOLUTELY stay there again. A shout out to the lift just like something in an old movie :) Thank you ALL there is no where else my wife and I would have rather been to celebrate her 60th birthday xx

The hotel is old world charm with modern features. Four levels of stairs, but the lift was wonderful and handy. The location was superb and convenient. Everything we wished to visit was in walking distance, except for St.Peters and Vatican Museum which are on the other side of the river, but accessible via other means of transport. The included breakfast was excellent, a fantastic range of food options and the lady that was on-site was so friendly and accomodating. Our room was on level 4 and consisted of two separate rooms with a double bed in each to accommodate four people. Very spacious room with everything we needed.

located right behind the Pantheon and next to the St Mary of Minerva's Church. Right smack in the center of all the action and a 20-30 min walk to all major sightseeing spots. They serve buffet style Italian breakfast every morning and would get us on the right foot for all of our daily adventures. Even on the day we would be leaving early to catch the Pope's mass they packed us a breakfast box to go. The staff were there 24/7 and where all very kind. Our room was small for a family of five adults, but it served the purpose we needed it for. Hard when we could only use one bathroom.

Family rooms could benefit with an extra bathroom.

The breakfast was included in our room, and it was amazing. Great food! The woman running the breakfast room was very kind, greeting us with a smile every morning .The staff in general were very kind and helpful as well. Location could not have been better for exploring Rome, as it is right next to the Pantheon and in the middle of everything else.

My only complaint is that we did not have a personal balcony attached to our room. When I reserved the room, I was under the impression that I reserved a room with a balcony/terrace. I was told only one room has an attached balcony, and it is randomly allocated. However, there is a nice roof top terrace that everyone at the hotel can use. The rooms were simple, but clean and comfortable.

clean comfortable and large room breakfast very good staff very helpful and kind

picked up a taxi at train station in the que so it was not just a random taxi. The driver told us he could not enter the area around the Pantheon so would have to drop us off -luggage and all-at the square. I called the hotel from the cab and the fromt desk manager spoke directly with the cabbie and told him how to drive right up to the front door to drop us off. the cabbie wasnt happy, but he did it. When we arrived,, many taxi's were dropping people off at our location. Just a word of caution- not for the hotels-but in case you run into a taxi like that. It was the only one in Europe we ever encountered after decades of travel. Hotel itself was very accomodating

The entry to the hotel was not typical at all. This building was built in the 1600's as a family residence. The outside door was on a busy alley. However, it seemed like a safe area. You pressed a button on a panel to enter the hotel. There was a very small elevator to transport your bags to the lobby area. We arrived early and the receptionist offered to store our bags until our room was ready. The room was ready early, and the porter brought our bags to our room for us. When we needed a taxi, the front desk was very helpful in ordering it for us. The staff was helpful and gracious. The breakfast was probably typical of an Italian breakfast. The eggs (scrambled and boiled)were not hot and the coffee was small cup amounts, but you could get as many cups as you desired. They also had juice, milk, croissants, deli style meat, fruit, bread, cereal and various small pick-up items. The room and bathroom was clean but very small. The bed was harder than I prefer. The pillows were pretty flat, but you could get as many as you needed. The room had a TV, small fridge and a closet. The bath had a small shower only and a toilet and bidet and sink. The hotel was very close to the Pantheon and the Basilica S. Maria sopra Minerva...which both are worth seeing. It is also close to many shops and restaurants.

The area where the hotel was located was on a busy alley, and it was a little intimidating to walk in the alley as there were no sidewalks and the alley was busy with cars and people. There were a lot of steps to climb if you didn't use the tiny elevator. There is a city tax that has to be paid in euros before you leave in addition to your regular hotel bill. You are warned about this charge when you arrive, so it is not a surprise at the end of your stay. It really was not much and not a problem for us.

We had unexpected airline troubles with which the staff greatly assisted beyond the call of duty. We loved our time there and plan on staying next time in Rome.

There are other Pantheon name related lodgings nearby. We had booked ahead but had trouble finding this one which included bad directions from people we asked. Not sure how to correct other than making sure to have specific directions. In the end it was well worth the initial frustration. The staff was welcoming and accommodating.

The Pantheon Inn is a budget family owned bouquet hotel. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. A nice buffet style breakfast is included. It is located in a historic building that is clean and nicely maintained. The location is walkable to a lot of the local attractions, however it is on a side street and the taxi drivers appear to be unfamiliar with the location. This can cause the customers/ guests to pay a hefty taxi fee as the taxi driver attempts to locate the hotel. I recommend using Uber when staying at the Pantheon Inn.

The fact that it is located on a side street and you need to push a buzzer and Waite for a response to gain entry.
