We had a wonderful room with two half-floors. The breakfast is pre-ordered from a list on the evening before. You can order anything from the list. It’s excellent.

We’re sorry we didn’t order more for breakfast. Especially some more of the delicious juice.

Very nice hotel with the best breakfast we had on our trip. Room was nice, comfortable with a balcony. Good size pool. Hotel is in an area that you walk everywhere, which we enjoyed.

We are so glad we chose Sirmione as our first destination on our 3 week Italian holiday from Australia. I chose Hotel Serenella due to its location, good pricing and is previous reviews. We were very happy with our choice. We arrived early and they were happy to hold our luggage while we had a very generous prosecco and lunch in their pretty courtyard. It was a little cool and rainy so we didn't use the pool, though a few people did. The room and bed was very comfortable with a cute balcony and the bathroom well appointed. Breakfast was great with lots of options and they are very conscious of waste and the environment. This family run hotel is in a quiet location though in easy walking distance to restaurants and the ferry. Their cute little private dock at the end of the street was a lovely place to relax on sun lounges over the water! It was a bit of a walk with our luggage to the hotel that we weren't aware of so we would recommend arranging transfers with them to and from with at least 24hrs notice as there are only a few cars allowed within the area of Sirmione.

The location was perfect for us. Just outside the extremely busy old town of Sirmione, so peaceful and quiet, but only 5 minutes’ walk away from the bustle so restaurants & bars were a short walk away. The hotel has a nice little pool but better than that was a pier out onto the lake for sunbathing & swimming. Gorgeous. Breakfast was excellent, served on a lovely terrace, and the bar offered a good variety of light lunches too. Comfortable and clean rooms, although the decor is a bit dated; however the shower was modern and very good. There’s a little fridge in the room too which was ideal for drinks on the balcony. It doesn’t sit directly on the lakeside so we didn’t have a view of the lake but we didn’t mind that. It’s a family run hotel which gives a lovely friendly atmosphere.

Just a couple of things I think would be useful for future visitors to know. There isn’t an iron available for guests to use, so iron before you pack. Beach towels are provided, and there was a basket of clean towels and a laundry bin on the terrace bar; so we placed the used towels in the bin each evening, and took a clean one each morning. However, 5 days into the holiday we were told (a bit grumpily!) that our towels were supposed to last us the week! It would have been better if that was made clear, and why then have the laundry bin & basket of clean towels on offer? Anyway. Very minor things!

A hotel decorated and run with love and passion. Perfect location, easy 10 minute walk just out of the busy town square, a peaceful get away from the crowds. 10 minutes walk to the Catullus ruins and Jamaica beach. Fabulous quirky decor, wonderful staff, the hotel has its own private jetty with sunloungers on the lake as well as the pool with sunloungers. Super breakfasts, offering a great pre chosen selection and time. Service with a smile. Highly recommended a stay here.

The bed was a little hard for me, and pillows flat but thats just personal preference and not a negative. A full length mirror would have been a welcome addition.

Great location , convenient for the old town, the restaurants, the lakeside and the ferries. Hotel is very welcoming with super friendly staff Scrupulously clean and well organised. You order from a breakfast menu the night before and are served. There is plenty of choice. The small bar by the pool offers lunch items and drinks and will serve by the lakeside beach and jetty too. The pool is unheated and quite small . It was easy to find loungers and use the pool alone on most occasions but I imagine it could be different in school holiday time. We had a comfort room with balcony on the second floor and I would recommend paying a little more for the balcony which also provides a view. There is a lift. The linen was changed every other day and new towels whenever you want them as well as beach towels available. Reception staff are delightful and will help with anything. We never heard a single sound from other guests while in our room. Wifi a bit variable in the room but fine in public areas . TV has dozens of channels but we couldn.t find any English speaking ones. There are huge lounge areas and a bar for evening social interaction . It is easy and cheap to travel to other Garda towns by ferry. Garda town was beautiful with a long lakeside promenade and Desanzano had a vast market on Tuesdays. The Grotto of Catullus , very close to the hotel, is in fact a Roman villa and well worth a visit.

Nothing at the hotel. Sirmione old town though is heaving with day tourists during the day and it can get irritating. Be careful where you eat as the prices can be very high. I would have liked some "normal" shops to buy everyday items rather than just tourist tat and expensive clothes shops. There is just 1 tiny mini market and shockingly , they sold bottles of beer with photos of Hitler , other Nazi leaders and swastikas on them! I reported this to the hotel who intend to look into the situation further.

Awesome location inside Sirmione, enabling to drive through the ZTL and not needing the car anymore once there. The breakfast was well prepared and with a multitude of tasty food. The room had a good air conditioning (really needed). We were allowed to leave the car in the parking while enjoying one last swim in the lake after checkout. The staff was truly welcoming.

One of the 2 parking areas right in front of the hotel has a ramp and it's not marked anyhow, so with a low sportscar you would get stuck suspended while trying to access. It would be enough to put a sign to avoid such unexpected.

Our stay at Hotel Serenella was fantastic. Everything about the accommodation was perfect. The room was a good size and balcony was lovely to sit out and relax. Bathroom was great and shower was wonderful (Always a plus when you get a good shower). The breakout areas, inside and out were comfortable and quiet. Great location and easy walk into town centre and Ferry dock. Also a very short walk took you to the Hotel Pontoon on the Lake where there were ample sunbeds. The bar area was clean and the bar staff were really friendly and helpful (Always smiling). Food was excellent, recommend the Bruschetta. The Pool was lovely but the Pontoon was our favourite place to chill out. Big shout out to Sara on reception who was a lovely lady and so helpful. Always had a smile on her face and always greeted you when coming and going. Flight home was cancelled, and Sara was so helpful in enabling us to stay in Room for additional night. All in All a wonderful stay in a lovely accommodation which made a perfect base for our holiday. Will definitely return. Thank You Sara

Nothing, everything was perfect

Very nice locality. Super rich breakfast, you can choose a day before what you would like to eat (many options sweet/salty). Two possibilities of parking - right next to the hotel (more expensive possibility) or on the special parking max 500 m form the hotel (cheaper) - but! if you decide to use these parking you have to go through center city full of narrow streets overcrowded by tourists - be careful if you have big car or if you are an insecure driver. Private swimming pool and access to the lake.

Perfectly situated, away from the crowds, but within easy reach of the shops and sites. Comfortable and clean.

Nothing. I would only say that everything was ‘correct’, friendly, without going the extra mile. We were there for an end of season October weekend - few guests, but although everyone was friendly, all enquiries met with a polite ‘no, sorry’ - eg: request for a beach towel and hot chocolate in the evening. On the last day I realised when we got to the car I’d lost my bag, with money passports etc. Before I eventually found it, I ran back to the hotel and was given my room pass back to go in and check my room, but when it was not there, no further help was offered. Fortunately it was found, but I’d have felt happier knowing help would be available if I’d needed to look further/contact the police etc.
