The hotel exceeded expectations!! Surprised at how nice the hotel was considering the price. Very reasonable. The pool area is incredible! It's big and quite luxurious with a proper pool bar. Was also surprised to find a hot tub out the back as well as a sauna and steam room! The room was spacious and modern and clean - and the balcony area again was so luxurious ad big! Amazing views. The location is also perfect - as you are close to the town where everything is happening, but also if you turn left out of the hotel - you are on the way down to the beach. Views are also incredible from this hotel.

Reception staff a bit mixed. A lovely lady greeted us and she was so friendly and helpful - but then at other times there were guys on the front desk who quite miserable and unfriendly, or people who were a bit junior and didn't know a lot. So a bit a mixed.

The location and the view are the top features of the hotel. Most rooms and the pool area have amazing views to Etna and the town. The hotel is very close to the bus station and the central part (around 5 min each direction), yet the street isn't that crowded so it's quite. The staff was always friendly and open to accommodate any needs. The pool looked dirty at first but is in fact just stained and the water was totally fine. The hotel in general is old but definitely has a charm for people who don't look for the highest level of luxury. Which also explains the price as the more luxurious hotels are way more expensive.

The hotel definitely needs some minor renovation, the furniture is quite old, even though it's well-preserved. But if you don't plan staying in the room that much, it's totally fine and not a problem. The breakfast wasn't the worst but it was very basic and my main disappointment was that they offer the cheapest and worst coffee that cheap hotels usually offer (considering we're in Italy at a 4-star hotel). Also, a big inconvenience was that we were accommodated at the very top floor and didn't have any WiFi connection so they should better place their routers.

The view from the rooms overlooking the pool have the most fantastic view of Etna and Toarmina. (Some seaview rooms will not have an Etna view so be careful.) The pool is deep (no shallow end), relatively large, and was excellent and good value for money as not many properties have a pool in the area. The bed was very, very comfortable and solid. Handy fridge and glasses. Incredible decor, gorgeous faded grandeur, lots of marble, very interesting. Parking would have been ok but it was very tight, or steep slope to the upper level - glad we planned not to park on site. I got made an omelette each morning, breakfast was more than adequate. We were allowed to check in early which was much appreciated. I would stay there again.

Some staff were not as helpful as they could be, but others were lovely. Be warned - no kettle in room. Bar was not staffed all the time we were there. We were told they would only provide our car details to the local authorities for the ZTL if we parked on site (at cost) which did not seem appropriate. From other reviews we were expecting a degree of quirky service so we were forewarned and had a good stay overall!

The double rooms we booked had a beautiful big balcony with fantastic views. The bed was very comfortable. Clean and cozy. The vintage atmosphere is excellent.

Upon arrival the receptionist pointed out that our booking didn’t have the names of the people staying and implied I had made a mistake when booking, I.e. that I had booked two double rooms for one person. Regardless of whether I made a mistake or not, it was a pointless discussion because it changed nothing. The rooms were double and exactly what I booked, so the interaction felt like a sassy exchange that I found charming and fun. Breakfast is fine although they will judge you if you fill your water bottle. Only thing I really didn’t like is that they don’t offer any water and charge 2 euros for the bottles in the minibar.

The view was stunning, the parking and the proximity to town center. The staff was very welcoming and polite.

The service was more for a 3 star hotel not 4, there was no kettle and phone in the room, no bath robes or slippers. For a cup of tea in the evening you need to go to the bar and order it at exa cost. The tea is served in coffee mugs -- just some examples. The SPA facilities were all closed and not working - a shame.

The location was great- close to the town and the beach. The pool was beautiful and a good temperature. The breakfast was amazing with lots of options. The hotel was close to everything and we walked most everywhere. The views from the room were outstanding- beach and Mt Etna! The staff was friendly also.

The parking was a bit confusing and you had to give your keys to the staff so they could Tetris your car in and out when you needed it. It wasn’t a problem, though, but confusing initially. The rooms were clean, but the beds were extremely firm- almost like sleeping on the floor. The fitness equipment outside was not available until it was too hot to use in July. should be open early so you don’t have a stroke while exercising!!

View was out of this world and so was the staff they were friendly, kind, generous in that they went out of their way to accommodate me in every way. The rooms were clean and they did a great job of straitening out every day. The front desk/concierge made good recommendations, turned on the sauna late at night for me and was generally kind and considerate. Many rooms have well positioned balconies. Amazing to wake up with view out the window and then to sit on balcony read or work. Location is also very good. It is accross from the beautiful gardens. Which you can walk through to get to the main old town walking street

Hotel is a little dated. It could use a facelift…but then it would or at least should charge a lot more.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Just a few minutes walk from the centre and a few really fabulous restaurants nearby. The staff were excellent. Really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great, varied and plentiful. Allessandra was particularly helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had a fourth floor room and the views are amazing… most rooms have sea views and it’s one of the best views of mount Etna in the area! There is a bus stop that’s a few mins walk away so it’s easy to get into Naxos (€2 euros instead of a €25 taxi) and down to the station (€1.50 instead of €25) Isola Bella beach is just a 25 minute (steep) decent down. Taormina is a really lovely place to visit and plenty to do here.

We had booked this hotel because it had a pool and as a few previous reviews mentioned, it wasn’t too appealing. It’s a shame really as it’s the only thing that let the hotel down.

Excellent hotel with top facilities. Sparking clean, the air-condition and everything else works perfectly well. The view is magnificent towards the sea and mount Etna.

As mentioned by others reviews the staff in the reception at times appears to be difficult. And I do not mean the more junior staff, who probably come from other places and do not know the area. I do not think they realize the importance of information given to the newly arrived tourists. You get the key and that's it. If you ask a question you are lucky if you get a clear answer. I hope this helps them to improve. In all other aspects it is a top hotel.

The location, the view from the terrace of our bedroom, the great breakfast with the best “omelet”! Graziella the house keeper who was helpful and very pleasant.

Our checking in was a bit of a disaster. The young lady at the reception seemed to be very new and had no experience whatsoever on how to greet people. She should not be there alone at reception... we were given the wrong room with the wrong key, that room was not ready yet and after some time we were directed to the right room with the help of Graziella the house keeper! She saved the situation because we were at this point a bit “upset” and annoyed by the inaptitude of that receptionist. Anyway, everything went uphill from there.
