The perfect place, I mean location, but see below "What didn't you like". It is just around ten minutes of walk to square of Saint Mark. A lot of cafeterias and restaurants around. "Coop" convenient store is nearby, around five minutes of walk, where you can buy almost everything you need. The warmest hotel I visited during my trip to Italy. Really the temperature in room was quite comfortable for January.

It is not an easy task to get from "Stazione di Venezia Santa Lucia" train station to this hotel. You have two options: to walk - it might take around one hour or a bit more; you can take the water tram, it will cost you nine euros per person, the travel time is around thirty minutes.

Excellent location. Just about everything what needed round the corner. Which was handy in the evenings. Plenty of restaurants, post office, ATM, supermarket and even a park to sit down in a shade and chill for a second. Property literally few minutes walk from main attractions and even closer to water bus stop (Arsenale) which from you can get anywhere, Lido, Murano…. etc. This makes easy to find the property as well, as all you have to do is to jump on water bus from the airport and get off at the Arsenale. No need to carry all your luggage through tourist packed areas. Staff in the property was excellent. Helpful when needed and very welcoming. Room was clean every single day. Breakfast, basic but nice. Can’t complain as it had all you need to start a day. A.C in the room not very strong but enough, and it seems to be common practice in every hotel this day. Understandable… I wish to write more but I leave rest for you to discover. All I can say I would definitely recommend and will stay there again, no question ask.

perfect location very authentic

The waitress was rude. She told us we needed to hurry up because she had to help clean rooms. ten minutes later two ladies came back down to get orange juice she not only greeted them but turned the machine on so they could get more. She cleaned the other tables and sat dirty dishes next to our table. Another gentlemen watched in disbelief. She never told him to rush or move. We had a wonderful 15 day European trip and would never let this stop us. But if we weren’t Christians I am sure many labels would be attached to her actions.

Room confortable and more than adequate for our stay, didnt spend much time in it as there was so much to do in the area. The breakfast was a continental style breakfast, nice and plentiful to set you up for the day. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Now for the best bit, the location - The hotel is situated right on the water front overlooking the lagoon. It is set away from the busy part but within easy walking distance. There are plenty of nice restaurants and bars within a minutes walk on the street outside of the hotel. You are away from the busy part of town which was much nicer for us but literally a ten minute walk to St. Mark's square. There is also a supermarket on the same street within a few minutes walk which has most things you might need. All in all this hotel has everything you need in a perfect location.

Staff were all friendly and very helpful. Room was a bit small but we were upgraded to a room with a view over the lagoon. Breakfast was a good mix of cereals, bread, fruit, cheese, ham etc with an excellent coffee machine Location was a bonus, firstly the hotel has its own private jetty. we had taken a water taxi from the airport so it dropped us right by the back door of the hotel. Secondly although only around 10 minutes walk from St Mark's square few tourists made it this far so it was a quiet uncrowded neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants etc. The last couple of nights local deliveries started a bit early and were quite noisy. Not the fault of the hotel but, anybody bothered by this should take one of the interior facing rooms.

I can't really think of anything. Venice is an expensive place to visit.

Breakfast was fine. Standard European breakfast options.. Location chosen specifically to be away from the tourist crowd but close to vaporetto stops. Still with walking distance to St Mark's square. Wanted location frequented by locals. Location met expectations. Good restaurants and trattorias close by. Close to nice Biennale gardens. Beds wer comfortable. Clean. Nice that there was a small stocked bar refrigerator in room.

Room was a little small for two people. Room was hot because staff turned on towel warmer in bathroom which heated up entire room. Better once left note to not turn it on. Cold water frequently came out warm/ hot unless running for a long time. No air conditioning until May..

We had a very nice stay at Hotel Ca Formenta. It is well located and the staff is really friendly and helpful. Good breakfast too. A bit too expensive for this time of the year, but it seems to be the same everywhere in Venice this year. If you ask for a room with a view on the canal, you will be charmed. It can be a bit noisy at night with the boats passing below the windows but nothing too problematic. it depends on the evenings and it generally stops after 11pm.

Excellent Location, Excellent staff service, Very Clean. We stayed for 4 nights. The staff went above and beyond expectations. Always greeted with a smile from every staff member. The room was soundproof, so there was little to no noise from other guests or from outside. I would totally recommend this hotel.

Mosquitos, nothing the hotel can do about this, but please come prepared to get bitten. Bring prevention and cure from mosquitos.

Beautiful stay. Staff is great. Front desk attendant a gentleman. Helped us a lot and was super calm with so rough clients to had to deal with. Loved his attitude and helpfulness. Room is beautiful and has a roof top super nice. Two ladies from the breakfasted super sweet, kind and helpful. The location is steps away from the water. If you are using a ferry, stop at ARSENALE. People are not too helpful and give wrong directions for everything. Enjoy Venice. The most beautiful place I’ve been.

Breakfast was a little simpler. Every day the same thing. But this is not a complaint. We love Ca' Formenta <3

The only thing we didn't like was the cleaning service. They ring the bell and within seconds they open the door. I had a pretty big embarrassment there when I got out of the shower completely naked. The service opened the door and looked at me as God created me. If only it was a woman who opened the door, I feel at least a little better. :D Please take care of this.
