Our stay was great and a great value. Staff, from the cleaning people to concierge to everyone in between were wonderful. The proximity to the Capital and Mall and was excellent -- just a few blocks. The rooms were somewhat like the "businessman rooms" in Japan -- sleek but with everything we needed. The bed slept better than the one we have a home. All the touchscreens and mood lighting were futuristic touches I enjoyed playing with. Tip: if you want less street nois,e ask for a room facing the inside of the U-shaped building. Security was high -- you needed your room card to use the elevator. The hall coffee makers made great coffee. And the ice machine had a setting for ice and water in your cup.

The pool was the one negative -- never got to see it. It seemed to never be open. The afternoon of our arrival it was closed for some private party that evening. Then it was closed the next morning, too. I went up that evening but it had closed at 8. The following morning I asked if they would open it. I was told it management said not till noon. It was too cold. I told them I liked I liked it cold. It's a tiny pool. I wanted to do stretching exercises and also float in the pool to boost my metabolism. Management still refused to open it. That would have made the miles of walking we did a whole lot easier on my back and legs. Oh well.

The staff was nice the location was great. You know what would be great? Handing out maps of the metro and the mall. That is basically why people go and if we had that it would make our life easier with kids.

The bathroom door doesn't close. When a thunderstorm came through it sounded as if we were outside with it. The rain would beat on the windows. The view was horrible. We found hair in the bed that wasn't ours. We also found stains on the sheets.

Location was central and easy to get to most places. Our room was fantastic. The hotel had everything we needed. Shout out to the doorman. We checked out and left our bags, he asked what time we’d be collecting and if we’d need a taxi. Sure enough, when we returned our bags were ready and taxi in our name waiting out front. Great service.

On our last night the TV stopped working. I called reception a few times asking for help, I was told each time it was a hotel wide issue and wait 30mins. I popped downstairs to grab a drink and noticed a few rooms I passed TVs were working. They again told me to wait 30mins and try again. We gave up and just used the iPad instead. A shame. Minor issue really, but the staff weren’t massively helpful.

Great location -- a few blocks easy walk from the Union Station metro and train station. Good for short stay for our 4 adult family members (sharing 2 queen beds) wanting to do different things within DC. Allowed 4 keys. Coffee available 24/7 in common area. Air conditioning worked well. Beds comfy; room was clean and just what we needed. Modern decor, no frills. Self check-in worked fine; check-out was quick.

Not about the hotel per se: there aren't grocery stores nearby, only restaurants which gets expensive for family of 4. Had to ask several times for additional towel (housekeeping did not replace the correct # of towels after cleaning); not a big deal. Could have used more hangers. Try to get a room without the adjoining door to another room -- Ours was securely locked but we could hear the neighbours talking loudly/TV all night.

The beds were extremely comfortable but the pillows were a weird shape

The restaurant was very limited and all the breakfast options were sugar with sugar on top.

The walk to Yotel from Union Station was less than 10mins so save the Uber ride. There were alot of hotels in the area so it was a perfect location from restaurants. Check in was quick and I had the king room so it was perfect size for my bf and I. The rooms came with a refrigerator and seperate toilet and shower room. There was a coffee and water machine on every floor. A bar in the lobby and Rooftop pool with a restaurant and bar. Drinks and snack for purchase in the lobby. I paid no more than $18 for Uber since entertainment and rastaurants are so close. The White House was a 30min walk on a nice day 10 min drive.

I like everything

Staff were great, room was what I needed, housekeeping staff was super-helpful. Big fan of water and coffee machine in the hall with much better coffee than normally available with a room. Overall, great property. Also, Art & Soul, the restaurant downstairs, was delicious, even if a bit pricey, worth it to not have to hunt down a dinner spot after a long day.

Definitely pricey. Was not thrilled with the high security deposit -- $75 a night seems really steep, even if we do get it back eventually. When traveling for work, it's a real pain not to be able to use the work credit card we used to book for the security deposit.

Great location to visit the usual tourist things in DC. Nice to have a non-carpeted floor so it felt actually clean in the room. The adjustable bed made watching TV nice. Nice large bright shower and good showerhead. Adjustable mood lighting was fun.

I was never able to get cast-to-TV to work. Not sure what the problem was. The ice/water machine on our floor (8th) stopped making ice. I had to have the room key reset twice during the stay. Do the cards not hold the information well enough, or did the hotel system change the codes? The bedsheets were tucked in too short, we had to remake the bed so the blanket/sheets went up as high as they should. The check-in process at the kiosks should offer more than one way to find the reservation (by email, phone number etc.), instead of just name (name on credit card? Name on booking account? Name as typed in when making the booking?)

Yotel is located 10 minutes walk from the Union Station - Not to long a walk with suitcases There is a bike stall (Capital Bikeshare) nearby to explore the city The room was all modern and comfy and the shower was awesome!

1. The shower and toilet are not in separate rooms which is a relationship test 2. The guy at the entrance who put our suitcases in the back for safekeeping while we went out to explore Washington was very moody and didn't smile at all. We've experienced that when we dropped our suitcases and when we picked them up.

The hotel is located super close to the National Mall, so all the museums and monuments were easily reachable. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the beds were super comfy. This hotel is really cool and lively! Restaurant had great food.

The pool area had trash around and in it, plastic cups and napkins mostly. There was a huge pile of dirty towels, and we luckily got the last clean ones. The bar had 3 people behind it, and it was excruciatingly slow to get served and cashed out.
