We stayed in the bunk room with 3 people and there was ample room to open all our suitcases! Nice surprise to have slightly more floor space in a Japanese hotel room. Beds were comfy and loved the toilet with an auto opening lid every time you walk into the toilet room. Live music at night and space to have dessert and drinks downstairs. The rooftop was also a great place to hangout. There are even shared spaces on some floors where you can enjoy tea together. Loved the design elements in the hotel too. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We asked for the wrong later breakfast time and the staff proceeded to ask other guests if they could switch with us instead so we wouldn’t miss out on breakfast. Would recommend this hotel!
We didn’t mind much but the room only had one small window near the top bunk. Means the room doesn’t get any sunlight at all.

Great location -- Not closest to the train station, but at a major street and within walkable distance to major tourist attractions. Obviously a building repurposed into a hotel, room design is in "industrial style". Room size is on the small side though. We were there during the Noto earthquake. The hotel staff was very supportive, trying their best to restore hotel functions. They proactively provided updates about transportation status (trains and buses), they offered to extend my stay if needed, and they helped me to call my next hotel as my trip was affected. Thank you very much for your excellent service at a difficult time!

We had a Japanese style room, and it was super spacious, beautiful, clean and comfortable. I would definitely come back, just for the room itself. The theme of this hotel was tea, so there were common rooms where you could just pour yourself some delicious tea. Our room was a bit on the pricier side, but I would definitely pay this price again for the very relaxing and cosy experience we had there. Will definitely come back!
The hotel isn't super well known yet so definitely try to get a leaflet from the hotel to show your taxi driver. The location is also not that central, but that wasn't too much of an issue for us.

The staff was very friendly. The room and bedding were comfortable. The bathroom was large and lovely. They serve breakfast, although we didn't eat there. They supply a lot of basic toiletries as well as sleepwear.
The photos in Booking are very misleading. Where they should have pictures of the room themselves, they include pictures of the facility. We thought we had booked a room with a dining table so we could work. However, that table was not in our room. It was a photo of a shared workspace which I couldn't use because I needed privacy for my meetings. Because of this, I had to scramble to find an office space to rent for a few days. This was really inconvenient and significantly increased the cost of our stay there.

Another The Share hotel to love! We also stayed in the one in Hiroshima and this one has the same concept. Perfect location, very friendly staff, lovely redecorated old building, great design, lovely rooms and very good beds, bathroom and facilities. We are a family of 4 with 2 young adult kids and we stayed in a spacious room with 2 normal beds and 2 bunkbeds above them. We also had a couch and good closet space, plenty of room for our luggage. We also really loved Kanazawa!
We loved everything.

This hotel is an excellent value. We have high standards and so I wasn’t expecting much given it’s reasonable cost. It’s got a clean modern aesthetic. The laundry, bike rental and convenient location all big wins. Slept amazing in the Japanese style beds. Bedding was lovely and the robe/ house gown so great I bought one to bring home. Super soft! We had breakfast both mornings and enjoyed. That was the only thing lacking a smidge. Would highly recommend this stay.
I thought the first morning breakfast not fabulous. Second morning was better.

Absolutely gorgeous interiors, spotlessly clean, lobby smells amazing due to diffusers running. Perfect location, easy walk to samurai district which has a great atmosphere, and plenty of fantastic coffee shops, bakeries, and restaurants on the way. Bus stop right outside the hotel, and easy access from the train station and major attractions of the gardens and castle. Spacious room with couch area and very modern facilities. Service was great, most were very friendly. we ran out of time to hire the hotel bikes, but we would definitely do that next time. We would ray at Kumu again, just in a different kind of room, and Kanazawa has been our favourite city in Japan!
Our room was a little dark, only one small window covered by the loft bed. it was okay during our stay, we just embraced the cool dim experience. it was only an issue on the last morning when we were trying to do a big pack and organise, and couldn’t see properly even with the lights turned up to their brightest. The loft bed was very high, with a very steep ladder. I thought my son would be okay with it, but he was afraid of sleep walking and falling off it, so he ended up down with me, and his dad up in the loft. Maybe a ladder that has an adjustable depth would work better. We mould chose a different room next time.

The hotel is by far one of the better ones that we have stayed in Japan over the years. We really love the design of the hotel and its rooms. Despite not being a huge hotel, it does have all of the needed facilities for a short stay. The staffs of the hotel are some of the friendliest and most helpful we have met. They go all the way out to assist us in getting taxis to the train station when we were running late. Hotel is also conveniently located near most of the popular sightseeing locations. We did most of our sightseeings on foot which can be reached in less than 20mins from the hotel.
None. Just simply the best hotel we have stayed this trip!

Beautiful, modern design featuring lots of local art. Friendly staff and great facilities including a well-equipped laundry and tea making room.
The air conditioning was excessively noisy making it impossible to sleep. Even when turned off, the sound of it in other rooms could still be heard reverberating through the ceilings.

We encountered great customer service throughout Japan, but the staff at this hotel were probably the friendliest. Room layout (including two sets of bunk beds) maximized space efficiency well. On site laundry work well (both washers and dryers). Little bit of a walk from the train station, but fabulous location for sightseeing in Kanazawa. Nice industrial chic decor. I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Kanazawa.
I enjoyed the breakfast but wife/kids didn't care for it. Not really used to vegetables for breakfast. They were able to get some croissants though, and unlimited juice was nice.
