The best aspect of my stay at the hotel was the excellent service. I received quick responses to my questions, and the option to be picked up from the airport saved me a lot of stress. The hotel was generally clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

However, there are a couple of areas that could be improved. Firstly, the bunk beds were a bit challenging to access; it would be great if the stairs leading to the upper bed were easier to climb. Secondly, I wasn’t a fan of the automatic lights turning off after a set time. While I understand the intention to save energy and support the environment, I would really appreciate having a little light outside, especially as someone who enjoys sitting outdoors at night. Overall, I was still satisfied with my stay. Thanks for everything!(The hostel values guest feedback and has reached out to let me know they're working on solutions to these issues.)

Fabulous! Easily one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in globally - great value for money. - great decor and very tastefully done - the hostel has a lovely terrace garden overlooking the city of Amman with a fantastic view; lots of community activity and games areas as well as calm retreat areas to read or relax; from the get go, loved it. - staff - abed is exceptional in welcoming and helped with info about tours. Abed goes out of your way to help you with just about every thing making you feel you re home, not at a hostel. My pick up was late from the airport so they made up for it by offering it for free. - great location - 10 mins walk downtown and 15 mins walk to the amphithéâtre and citadel. - you can take an Uber back to the hostel from downtown if you don’t wish to climb up the hill back to the hostel and costs just 1.5 JOD. - the dorm beds were comfy with power sockets, light and a rack to keep specs etc at night. Also a hanger shelf with hooks (thoughtful).

Hands down the best hostel I have ever been. I have never come across a more helpful staff at a hostel. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get the name of the spanish volunteer at the reception. But he was very helpful. He gave me almost an hour for bookings and itinerary. Common area is huge and amazing. Good vibe. We even had a weekly hostel dinner (for free). Highly recommended. Would also recommend it for staycation folks. Perfect place to work from and do your meetings.

Nothing. Restaurant at the hostel is a bit expensive but they also recommend good restaurants near by. So, it’s not a problem per se.

Really great Hostel, I had a private room which was lovely, it had a real homely vibe to it with handmade decor, the toilet was separate from the shower but still next to it and the showers were in separate little rooms, the Terraces were beautiful and a lovely place to hang out and chill, they have a great little bar with drinks and a vegan food stall! There were places to charge electricals all over and great washing facilities. It's in a great location, just a 10 minute walk from the citadel and roman theatre ruins and 1.25JD from downtown AND Jett Bus station Abdali. There is plenty of information for travelers.

The only thing I didn't like was the bin next to the toilet filled with other people's waste, this however wasn't the fault of the hostel, it's very much the same everywhere in Jordan due to sensitive plumbing.

My recent stay at the hostel was quite enjoyable. The common areas of the hotel are adequately equipped and confortable. The hostel impressively offers a variety of resources, including well-organized information and diverse tour options. The volunteers at the hostel were notably polite and kind. Their professionalism added to the overall positive experience, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. All in all, I had a pleasant experience during my stay. The hostel's amenities, informative resources, and the demeanor of the volunteers made for a positive impression. I would consider returning in the future for another stay.

This hostel really feels like home after 3 days. The atmosphere is really familiar. It was the best start for our trip we could wish for. The rooms are super comfortable, cosy and clean. The staff is really nice and helpful with all you need. There are a lot of optional trips and experiences you can book additional if you wish (like trips to the dead sea etc.). We often cooked together with them and other travelers, exchanged stories and experience and did a nice day trip. Even though you have the best and lively hostel life it is really quite in the rooms and also a good place if you need a rest from the big city life outside. We definitely come back.

The staff was great, really friendly and open to help, every night they have different activities for the guests. (Saludos a Manu) The rooms were good, comfy beds and the toilets were always clean. The hostel is about 25 min walking to the Jett bus station in Abdali, around 15-20 min to the Roman Theater and around 15 min to the Citadel, but if you prefer to take a taxi the prices from the hostel are good since it's near the center. I really enjoyed my time there:)

Maybe the showers could have a little bit more of pressure, still the hot water came fast so that was nice.

It’s more than a hostel - it is a family. Facilities and location was perfect! About stuff - such kind, hospitable and incredible people! Hostel has everything you need. Also they are providing many different excursions. I’ve been in a 3 days excursion and it was amazing!!! Perfectly organized, interesting and cheap. Also hostel has a great view from the top, sitting there at evening was a special pleasure. About food - cafe is so great! At first day i bought breakfast, that costed me around 6 dollars and it was so huge and tasty! And after that they give me for free complimentary dessert which was also so yummy! Cool thing that they have a fridge, where you can buy water, just leaving money in the box, same with snacks. They trust their visitors and it is so priceless!

To be honest, it’s not a big deal, but anyway Pillows can be improved. They provide additional for free, but they are not comfortable :( Shower looks a bit old

Found a temporary home there during my trip. Absolutely lovely staff that treated me like i was part of the place for ages but hadn't known. Also, they have all the tips and contacts you might possibly need for enjoying your stay in Amman and beyond, but without forcing anything onto you. Social events were offered, but having lone-time was not a problem. Location is perfect, shared spaces very comfy, price affordable and the whole hostel is extremely clean.

Wifi was okayisch. Leaving was hard.

Beautiful hostel with an amazing terrace! Everything was very clean, and I liked the fact that you had to take off your shoes before entering the dorms! The 6 bed dorm, compared to other hostels I have stayed in, was huge and nicely decorated, which I appreciated. The staff was super nice and even showed you around upon your arrival! The breakfast was delicious, and in general the bar/restaurant offers nice meals and drinks. I hope to come back again one day :)

Nothing, just one aspect to consider: I would have preferred a female dorm, which however costs significantly more although having the same amount of beds (6) as the mixed dorm. Not sure how this is justified, but it would be nice if the difference was not that high! Other than that, I can only recommend staying at Carob and enjoying it to the fullest!
