Located in the heart of downtown Rio, easy access to subway and other public transportation. Close to specialty shops and stone's throw from Lapa. Cheap taxi ride to neighborhoods like Catete, Gloria, Botafogo. A few underworld characters once the sun goes down but with a taxi stand outside the entryway to the hotel, you can easily avoid any incidents. I stayed on the 9th floor and it was quiet. Bed was great, cleaning service solid, water temp and pressure excellent. Spacious room. The staff were friendly and attentive.

As you exit the elevator at the lobby level, the restaurant aromas can be a bit overwhelming sometimes, other than that, nothing to complain about.

This is my 6th time staying. Great bang for the buck, especially if you're conducting business in the downtown area. The staff is what shines at Ibis Rio Centro: they communicate well, are responsive to your needs, and always available, including front desk and ancillary staff.

I find relatively minor things (normal wear and tear that is unavoidable) are negative, perhaps more so on the lower floors, the upper ones are nicer indeed.

Breakfast was a great add on. Mucho beuno. Eggs could have been better, no whites and a bit dry. Room was small but efficient and clean. Lunch and dinner were very reasonably priced and food was good.

Amenities in general were lacking. Drinks available only at small fridge at front desk. Location was secure in itself but outside proximity was dark and forbidding 🚫 😐.

The room was very comfortable for one person. The bed is big and nice. Buffet breakfast was good. Staff were nice and kept my luggage with a tag

There was only a shower towel, no hand towel. The area is sketchy to walk at night. Nothing to do with the hotel, in fact they have security in front which recommend you to take taxis.

Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was tidy and the facilities were acceptable.

Fitted sheets would have been better as they kept falling off and the TV didn't work very well.

I was spoiled with a room at the Gold/Platinum floor, which is special for people with Le Club Accor Hotel benefits, even though I am not a member. And I loved being at a premium floor, it was quiet and with less people transiting, it added up a lot to my stay.

Everything was good and as simple as I needed. It was sad that some facilities were not yet opened. One elevator had the button malfunctioning, so I would say everything else was 5 stars.

All staff are good except few because they favor taxi people those who stand out of the Hotel gate.

I like hotel ambiance and service.

The room is very comfortable and clean. Location is near by the Museum of Tomorrow (about 1.5km).

The outlet is not close to the bed. There was only a single outlet available in the entire room.

It was a nice room, good value for price

Did not include towels, toiletries, which I always get in an ibis, even in the budget ones, and I expected that.

great breakfast. staff were very helpful and friendly. comfortable stay. clean. security made us feel very safe when getting in and out of Ubers.
