The staff were incredible and the location, although just outside of what would be the ‘city center’, the location was great; lovely and quiet. The room was really comfortable, the shower was great quality and very strong. Breakfast was a massive selection, lots of vegetarian choices and the fresh barista coffees were really nice to have. The ceiling in the lobby and restaurant is so beautiful; I loved staring at it whenever we were in the reception, no clue who the artist is but would have loved to get a print

Nothing really, we forgot our toothbrushes and were floored that replacements were €7 each, but I guess it’s a very captive market when people have no other choice.

This stay was our first at this chain of hotels and we are converts! All spaces, public and private, were fun, comfortable and clean. Buffet breakfast offered hot and cold items, kept the tables cleared, and restocked items regularly. All the food was good and fresh. They had a room to work in with electric plugins, a quiet room and a copier that we couldn't get to work; however, the front desk did print for us. The rooftop bar was very welcoming and fun. All spaces were nicely decorated. Most of the staff was competent and helpful. Beds, bathrooms and rooms were all comfortable. Toiletries included a soap bar for hair and body washing along with regular soap and face cleaning pads and ear cleaning buds.

We found it difficult to locate the underground parking facility which was not clearly marked unless you drove past it.

Loved the vibe of this hotel - quirky decor and very comfortable and quiet room. Food was great in the restaurant although very busy so needed to book. We didn't have breakfast in the room rate so went to the Mama Bakery cafe next door. Public transport was free and the tram stop was only a 10 min walk. Luxembourg was a stopover for us en route to Germany so we weren't expecting much it was a complete surprise and we loved it! Underground parking was great. Loved the roof top bar!

Can't fault our stay in Luxembourg at all. Can't wait to go to another Mama Shelter hotel.

The hotel was very quirky, so many interesting pieces scattered across the entire building, design furniture and so on. Every time I looked around I was finding an unusual detail or object. Very well designed and structured, very clean, quiet and the restaurant was also high quality. I would definitely come back, highly recommended!

There was nothing I did not like, if I really have to pick something, perhaps is the distance from town centre, but at the same time the hotel is very well connected and surrounded by interesting places to visit, including the Philarmonie Luxembourg (concert hall). The price was a little high but at the same time it was worth it, the quality has always a price...

The modern design and thoughtful features, e.g. press the button to turn on shower, different firmness of pillows to choose from, cool arts inside the lifts!

Love that the hotel consider the environment by supplying multi purpose soaps instead of gel bottles to reduce plastic. But I found my towels were changed every day, although they don’t need to be changed that often. I wish you could let the guest choose when to change towels, e.g. leave the towels on the floor if guests want a fresh towel, otherwise leave them on the hook

My wife and I really liked this hotel, the room was very clean with lots of space, and the bathroom was very good! The breakfast was amazing, with lots of variety and all very tasty. All the staff were kind and accommodating. It was all modern with nice decorations.

The only thing I could mention is that you have to pay for parking, the hotel is far away from the city centre, and is huge, with lots of free spaces, so it is not a case of charging because parking was in short supply, they could have offered free parking, then I would have given the hotel a 10.

The hotel was spotless, Christmas decoration was so beautiful and zen. I loved the unusual/unique decorations, every day was a day of exploring something new. Staff was amazing, kind and accommodating. Our room was quiet and comfortable! Good selection of movies, good breakfast. Easy commute to the city centre. Easily walkable (30minutes). We took the tram as we were short in time, and we wanted to explore the city and surroundings. Tram and bus stops few minutes walk. Thank you for our stay and making our trip more enjoyable! I would definitely stay again.

Is more a recommendation/personal preference: -kettle and tea in the room -more selection of food in the bakery -if they would have sauna would make it the perfect stay

Useful location near tram stop (amazing free public transport- 15 mins to main station on tram T1) and a small retail complex with a supermarket and cafes/restaurants (mostly open on week days only). Philharmonie concert hall and modern art museum are over the road. Quirky colourful decor with fun elements, such as a mirrored lift and masks on the bedside lights. The staff were attentive, although check-in was slower than expected (there was no queue), with nearly all my details being re-requested. Very comfortable bed and pillows in the spacious, quiet and clean room. Bathroom was also well-lit and nice with a hot shower, although I didn't like the all-in-one hard soap to be used for both body and hair, even if it is eco-friendly. There was a small safe and fridge (containing a welcome bottle of water) in the room and the TV included international channels e.g. from the BBC and ITV. There were no issues with the free WiFi. There was a great spread at breakfast, including both hot (scrambled/boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, boiled potatoes, beans and mushrooms) and cold food (fruit salad, plain yoghurt, cheese, charcuterie board, cold vegetables, lemon and chocolate cakes, pastries, bread, jams, cereals). The staff made hot drinks upon demand and there was delicious freshly squeezed orange juice (and others) with an option to make one's own choice using a selection of fruit. There is a bakery and co-working space on site and the reception sells a variety of Mama merchandise. The restaurant (also with a fun colourful decor) appeared busy in the evenings and there was a rooftop bar which I didn't visit (there was some late night noise in my 4th floor room but am unsure of the origin).

The €50 per night deposit was unexpected and, in my view, unnecessary, especially given that I had prepaid. Do they really have so many people causing damage/stealing things? Luckily I had a credit card with me, but that is not always the case and I don't recall seeing this detail on the booking.com paperwork. The horrid bathroom soap.

The location is perfect for a weekend visit to the city. The tram line that connects the train station, city center and the hotel stops in front of the hotel. The room is comfortable and clean.

No direct dislike, just a comment. The check-in took too long, up to 10min. While other hotels favor self-check-in without any worries, it took too long at Mama Shelter. Plus, they charge a 50EUR fee for just-in-case - a bit unusual nowadays. Also, the staff at the restaurant seems to be a bit annoyed when you come and ask for a seat. It shouldn't be that way.

The decor had a lot of personality. Many details were thought through. Staff was helpful with addressing our issues and concerns. Bakery in the basement!

Some things were broken or not fully convenient: the elevator broke once, the vending machine was out of service, we lost hot water for half a day, and the parking system was confusing. But the staff was attentive to our concerns, so we felt supported, so none of that felt like a deal-breaker.
