Really big rooms that were quiet and great location.

Had messaged hotel asking if we could check in late and received no response which made us worried we weren’t able to check in. Check in was fine as they had left keys with security and confirmed they’d received the message but not sure why they didn’t respond to confirm that before arrival. Don’t take contactless payments despite having a contactless machine but they haven’t activated it. Only takes credit card payments not debit cards.

Hotel SAVV is a fairly new Hotel in Georgetown and is very much a hidden gem located by the Clan Jetties and close to the Jetty bus and ferry terminal. The hotel is located within the UNESCO world heritage zone of historic Georgetown and within easy walking distance of all of the world heritage site attractions including the local street art, local food courts, Restaurants, and little India. The Hotel is very comfortable with all the facilties you basically need, I stayed in a Cabin room which designed for single occupancy with a single bed but the room is more than large enough and comfortable for a solo traveller. I like in particular the electronic do not disturb / please make up room signs which you can switch on within the room. All the Hotel Staff are very professional, Helpful, friendly, and approachable. The Breakfast is good, and is cooked on an individual basis for each guest. The Breakfast menu is available when you check in and can be varied for each day of your stay, which is cooked and served outside on the terrace. The Hotel is good value for Money and is good for both Business and leisure travellers. This Hotel can definately compete with the more expensive Hotels with higher star ratings at a more reasonable cost. The Hotel staff and the Malaysian Hospitality here is wonderful, especially the wonderful May who took care of Breakfast during my stay. If you are looking to stay in the Georgetown area and you find this Hotel is available for the dates you require for a reasonable price, don't hesitate, this Hotel is getting very popular, Just book it.

There is nothing to dislike.

Definitely appreciated the filtered water from the tap meaning it's safe to drink, what a blessing that was. Room was very clean and modern with a spacious bathroom area. The hotel's approach to cleaning is very thorough from what I could tell with signs on door handles advising that they were sanitised regularly. Great proximity to key shopping.streets and Chew Jetty.

Road noise. I had ear plugs so I slept but I didn't want to have to use them - I guess this was because I'd taken a single room though so it was at the front of the hotel. Location is really good but the road doesn't always have pavement and can be difficult to cross or negotiate. Not a fault of the hotel's obviously, but something to keep in mind.

The breakfast was excellent. Served in a covered area outside among greenery. The breakfasts were individually cooked, not a buffet with stale dishes. I very good variety of both Western and Malay foods. The staff it so helpful, even exchanging my Singapore dollars, getting me needed medication, arranging for staff to help me move, Allowing the use of the van to transport me to the next destination. I would have stayed longer but they were booked for Christmas. They helped find me a suitable newly opened hotel in Penang. A level of care and attention I have never seen.

I cannot think of anything, not to like. It was a superb experience.

A very comfortable hotel with friendly, attentive and helpful staff. The pool was a lovely feature and the rooms were in a modern, clean condition. Despite an early check out time, the staff were very helpful in ensuring that I received my deposit back in good time before their reception desk closed for the evening. The robe in the bedroom was also a lovely feature.

There was quite a loud noise in my room (I assume) when the people upstairs used the shower or the toilet, it was manageable but initially I was confused as to where the sound was coming from. I mentioned this to the hotel staff and they were very willing to send a maintenance person to take a look. Additionally you could hear motorbike traffic outside but it wasn't too bad if you had some ear plugs with you.

The location of the property is great, right in the hustle & bustle off china town, lots of restaurants close by to choose from, across the road are the chew jetties and the main strip is approx 5/10 walk. The rooms are modern & spacious, rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels and coffee refills. The hotel staff were so so lovely, they really do go above and beyond for you. We accidentally left our fire stick remote in our room during our stay and they were nice enough to post it to us! If I was to return to George town, I would definitely stay here again, it's a nice escape from the busy hustling bustling town.

Not a massive issue, but the pool is quite small and shallow, great if you're just wanting to cool off from the sun, just not the most practical if you're wanting a proper swim.

A wonderful experience. Three years after my first stay here, its good to know that standards have been maintained. The staff are as helpful and courteous as ever, ranging from the exquisite May in the breakfast venue (her infectious humour and smiling demeanour always lifted spirits) to James and Keerthi on the front desk. Nothing was too much trouble, whether calling taxis or printing out boarding passes for onward travel (an unexpected email from management confirmed the latter). The pool was a nice touch too.

The only downside was the noise from my room, which looks out onto a busy street below. A friend gave me some earbuds to help with that though I later found out they had some at reception. Having to pre-book your breakfast choice and time of eating the night before is not ideal, though it does mean make catering easier for SAVV, so its understandable.

The location of this hotel is bang on, a very short walk from Chow jetty, the majority of the stunning street art is within walking distance and a 10 minute walk to Chulia Street if you want a cold beer. The room we had was very spacious and we had a terrace which we could sit out in at night, which meant we had great views of the Jade Emperor celebrations, although the fireworks did go on until 0100, but you have to take the bad with the good I suppose. The room was very modern and very clean. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. This is a great hotel and I would recommend it if you are in Georgetown.

I have no negatives, the only thing that I found a little disconcerting was that our terrace was faced onto by another room so we were in a position that if the curtains of the other room were open we could see straight in.

Savv is well located within Georgetown & a walk away from many eateries as well as tourist attractions. With a 9 month old baby, we were able to plan our trip in a way that we get to return to the hotel for her naps & much needed break from the heat quickly. From the receptionists to the housekeeping crew, everyone were friendly & made us feel right at home. The room that we booked was very spacious that we simply left our luggages sprawled wide open & there’s little to no need for us to squeeze our way through from one space to another. We would definitely return during our next trip ✈️🫶🏼

Just a suggestion to set up the cot with a fitting baby mattress instead of the current set up which is with a duvet. A bit concern about safe sleeping for babies especially for those under a year old. Other than that, all is good!

My room was big, clean and well equipped. The shower was good. It's walking distance to a lot of the sights in the old town. You can easily get decent food nearby. Overall it was decent value for money.

It's on a busy main road and if you take the bus from the airport you stop on the other side a short walk away. The distance is very minimal but with luggage in tow it was difficult to walk down the road (no pavement) and then cross it. Crossing the road even at other times even without luggage was difficult and unpleasant. The swimming pool is almost laughably small. It wasn't a big draw for me but just be aware if that matters to you. The hotel/room itself was a bit sterile. Everything was fine but it's not somewhere that I will remember as outstanding or special.
