This hotel is great value for the money and very close to all of the markets such as lucas de galvez and san benito. The neighborhood has quite a bit of traffic and it was a little noisy at night, But I stayed in the back section of the hotel so it was quieter. The room was clean, and the bed was huge and fairly comfortable, And the bathroom was modern, The water was nice and hot, but there was only one little hook to hang your towel on. Those are just minor inconveniences though. Nancy, One of the main people there during the day does speak fairly good english and can help. They were so kind and helped me with several problems that I had had. I felt safe there and would definitely consider staying there for a shorter stay. It was only four blocks from the market, Five blocks from the main square, And it was easy to get a cab right outside the hotel's door. There was a small desk area to use, And the a c worked great. If you have some food to store, they have a refrigerator in the back that you can use, And they have cold waters and sodas for sale by the reception desk. Free coffee and tea are available daily.

The bathroom was extremely narrow and I had to sit sideways to use the toilet.

The hotel is very comfortable, well-located (only 4.5 blocks away from the city centre), and clean. It is managed by Fer and Nancy, who are super friendly and welcoming towards all tourists. Finding the hotel was easy, parking was provided, and the hotel is pet-friendly (with a fee of $300 MXN added to the bill, when bringing pets). The rooms are bright, spacious, and perfect for two people each. There is a working desk space in every room, for those working remotely. The wi-fi is stable and strong enough to hold regular video calls. There is a choice of streaming services on the TV, and the screens are large. Free cold water, tea, and coffee is available all day long at the reception. English is spoken, and the managers are always happy to give useful tips on where to eat and what to visit in Mérida. I would definitely recommend it for short or long stays for couples, groups, or solo travellers with no mobility impediments.

The hotel does not have an elevator, which might make it not suitable for older people and definitely not suitable for people on wheelchairs. Our rooms were on the second floor, which had nice views, but was a bit challenging for my over-60-year-old parents. The bathrooms are too small, with only limited space for one person to sit on the WC or take a shower. Bigger or taller people (over 1.70 m in height) will find it problematic to use the WC. The rooms are not completely soundproof. During our first night of stay, two people from our group were unable to sleep from some hours at night, as there was a car outside whose alarm had gone off. This is not to the hotel’s fault, but we had to wait until someone came to turn the alarm off, to be able to sleep.

The staff were extremely kind and always had a warm smile on their faces. The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was much needed at night! The shower had good water pressure....and with warm water!! There's a lovely terrace, where we enjoyed our breakfast and a drink in the evenings. Free coffee and drinking water were also available all day, which we really appreciated! We were also able to park our car in the private lot so that we could walk around hassle free. It's a short walk (10ish mins) to the main square and we always felt safe.

The barrier in the shower felt a bit small so some water splashed into the rest of the bathroom.

The staff here are friendly and welcoming, and try their best to make your stay a comfortable one. They include nice touches like free coffee and a cold water dispenser in the lobby. The hotel is well located a few blocks away from the city center, which can be reached by foot within ten minutes. The bus terminal is a short distance away, but it's not located within the city center anyway, and if you're up to it, it is still walkable (give yourself up to 20 minutes). Otherwise, it's an affordable taxi/uber ride away. The rooftop terrace is a nice place to relax.

Location is the best. Parking for free is available in a private parking lot as part of the price. Hot water and coffee at the reception. It's a good price deal compared to location with some manageable issues.

It's a noisy hotel. If there is a police managing traffic, you will hear the whistle. Some rooms have a window to the hallway. It's tricky to use a toilet seat as there is a 30cm between the seat and the wall. However, it's great if you are slim and drunk, because you can't fall forward :-)

Generally it was good the only downfall were the doors and showers. The doors did not seem very secure like anyone could break in if they tried to and the shower floors were made of a material that didn’t seem appropriate for showers and build up of mold could be seen in the corners + there was no shower curtain.

- Bathroom really poorly designed, shower screen too small to stop getting everything wet, and the toilet is much too close to the wall. - Doors did not feel too secure - Could hear the other rooms quite easily

I stayed two weeks and the staff were the best part, always very nice and pleasant. If you don't speak Spanish their English is excellent, no worries. Facilities were very clean, daily cleaning service is very thorough. The WiFi was good, no breaks. Convenient location a few minutes' walk from the main plaza, with a few good restaurants in the immediate area as well. Drinking water is provided in the rooms and there's also a water dispenser in the lobby which was a very welcome touch. Comfortable king bed. New AC unit. Hot showers were reliable and had good water pressure. The terrace has seating and a lovely new mural. Would definitely stay again.

These aren't necessarily dislikes, just infos: As others mention the bathroom is indeed very narrow, your knees will touch the wall when you use the toilet. Window screens would be a good addition, and perhaps a few umbrellas for shade on the terrace. I slept through it but if you are sensitive to ambient noise while sleeping bring ear plugs, because there are bus stops on the street below and road construction is not limited to daylight hours here (after hours construction is common here so workers can beat the heat, not a complaint or the hotel's fault, just fyi).

It was my second year and I hope to return again. Staff is very friendly and it's good value for money. Free water and tea is much appreciated. Hope to book directly in future and avoid Booking.com's horrendous customer service!

The only thing that is not great is the toilet stack against the floor and bathroom layout. You have to do some yoga to sit on it. :-) Unfortunately there is not much one can do about it now. Hooks and bars for towels would be. nice.

Location was quite good - about a 15 minute walk to centro. Not too many restaurants around, but 1 very good one directly opposite, which was handy. Overall very good, and for the price.

If other people got noisy, it did get noisy and you could hear them.
