The design and ambiance are fantastic. You're immediately transported to the 1940s with a great Havana vibe. Impeccable music and design in the hotel. The staff is excellent, and they're always trying to help guests feel welcome.

Merida is a very, VERY hot city and the common areas of the hotel have no air conditioning, so being outside the rooms can get annoying because of the heat. Also, it's an old building so sometimes smells from the sewage can come up from the drains.

I would live here!!! A converted 1800s mansion with internal courtyard and outdoor patio for delicious breakfast (try pancakes). The location allowed for easy access to the beauty of Merida. The pool is small but delightful after a hot day enjoying the town. The staff were all lovely, thank you all so much for engaging in conversation and making Merida one of our favourite holiday locations. We’re already dreaming of coming back.

Due to road construction there was noise to midnight. The bathroom is very small but has delicious smelling soap. The internet reception was lacking. Not really big concerns.

Location is great, a block away from the main church. All the good restaurants were close by. A good combination of contemporary and traditional. Staff was very attentive, rooms were clean. Patio area was great, we spent some time at the pool.

We had to change the room because the toilet in our room wasn't working. But then the mini split on the second room was a bit noisy and took longer to cool the room. That is pretty much it.

This was my 2nd stay at Piedra del Agua and I'd happily stay here once again. The location is really good in the center of Merida with bars, restaurants and parks on walking distance. The hotel itself is a place of rest and serenity, where you can escape from the busy streets and relax in the marvelous rooms or in the beautiful garden with the refreshing swimingpool. Food options and drinks are great and reasonably priced. The staff is ever so friendly and helpful. Rooms are super clean, have great beds and superb showers with nice honey based soaps and shampoos.

That we had to leave after 3 days

David was very helpful and attentive to my hot water problem. Water was cold and he was responsible for fixing it so my showers were nice and hot. Room service was nice when I had to stay in my room.

Dinner menu in the restaurant was limited. Would have liked more choices.

The location in the center is perfect. The staff is very professional and nice. The hotel looks like a charming ancient hacienda.

We chose this hotel partly because of the swimming pool and only used it once as it didn’t seem very clean or well managed, which is surprising given that the rest of the terrace/garden is clean and well kept. I think it’s an improvement that can be achieved easily to male this hotel perfect!

Staff was so friendly and attentive. The hotel’s patio is so cute! Room temperature is comfortable and nice view to the Street! The location is great, and once renovation is complete it will be an even better experience.

Currently June 2024 the nearby plaza is going thru renovations and it was be hard to get transportation in and out

I can’t say enough about this place! The staff is incredibly attentive and kind. The accommodations are beautiful as well as the decor of the hotel. Their restaurant offers delicious options for everyone. I would absolutely return and recommend this beautiful hotel to everyone!

They offer spa services but the masseuse isn’t equipo to do deep tissue which would be fine if you know that going in.

The property was beautiful and it was really close to the center of Mérida. The staff was always on it to help you out during our stay. Special thank you to Daniel for taking care of us and suggesting some really good dishes like the cochinita aguachiles.

The property has incredible grandeur and history. If you like colonial charm this is a wonderful place to stay in the presidential suite.

The smaller rooms are quite snug so if you like Space you’ll have to pay a considerable amount higher
