Everything was fantastic. I spent 5 nights there and it really felt like home. Hassan and Azis were fantastic hosts, who had an answer to all my questions and were ways helpful and lovely to engage with. The room was incredibly comfortable and unlike the other two riads I stayed at in Morrocco, it was QUIET. The rooftop was pleasant, beautiful, and many places to relax. A real perk was that it was just 10m off of a road so you could get transport easily, but set back so you didn't hear road noise. Plus, it was right next to the entrance to the Medina so very convenient for shops and restaurants. I can't say enough about my stay.

Literally nothing.

We spent wonderful 4 days in Riad Tizwa. Considering the very unfortunate circumstances (an earthquake that had happened some 80kms from Marrakesh area few days before our arrival) we had some concerns whether to proceed with our journey. Eventually we did and this decision really paid off. We received a truly royal treatment from the Riad Tizwa crew for which we are very grateful. The guys were always there ready to help us and handle even the slightest inconvenience. Apart from the hospitality we loved the newly renovated interiors and design of the riad. And of course the peace and retreat we found there after spending a day in the Medina.

There was not any such thing.

Staff was very lovely, greeted me with Moroccan tea! Breakfast, whenever you want, you just tell the staff the day before! Also, it was a good one (mix of muesli, diary products, jam, honey and local bread + coffee). The riad is beautiful, traditional design, nice rooftop terrace. It is really in the center, easy to get to major touristic spots and bazars. Safe neighbourhood, but make sure you use an offline GPS otherwise you can easily get lost - which is the case with all riads in the medina due to narrow streets that all look the same. I was a bit concerned about the cleaning but it was also allright (apart from some hair I found in the bed but it wasn’t a big deal).

Personally, my room (nr. 5) was on the groundfloor and was rather a small one. OK for 1 person but for 2, I would go with the ones on the 1. or 2. floor. Bathroom is a bit dark because there is no window (however, this is normal, it’s the nature of a riad).

Richard has done a great job with details such as hamman soap supplies/explanation , nice quality bar/liquid soap/shampoo products, blow dryer and great shower with robes and slippers. Our room was immaculately clean and the bed/sheets so comfortable. We slept well and enjoyed the room decor as well as the roof top terrace for delicious breakfast that was offered anytime, Richard said the latest breakfast he has served was at 4:30 pm and challenged anyone to request a later time😆 we very much appreciate coffee provided outside our room before we had breakfast, nice touch for us coming from Seattle where coffee comes first😆 Richard was very friendly and spent time chatting about many different subjects from personal to traveling which we appreciated. Always interested in knowing about the Riad history and getting local insights to the area. Thank you Richard for spending time with us and sharing your insights on Marrakech, Fes, Morocco and the world at large. Look forward to keeping in touch for future trips/travels to Morocco 🇲🇦

Everything. Absolutely amazing stay in a wonderful property. The Riad itself is beautiful and in a wonderful location which is close to the majority of Marrakesh’s sights in the old town while still being far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the centre to ensure a peaceful stay. We had a room on the terrace which was beautifully designed and decorated. A great breakfast is served on the terrace and a flask of coffee is waiting at your door each morning which is a lovely touch. The best thing about staying here is the hosts. Both Hassan and Mouad went above and beyond to ensure we had the most pleasurable stay possible as well as ensuring we got the most from our visit to the city. They were both warm and friendly and organised activities for us as well as providing recommendations for restaurants and also booking them on our behalf.

Not a thing

Breakfast was fab and plentiful. Location was great - edge of car free zone so taxis eg from airport can stop outside and then an easy walk to main attractions. Rooms were quiet and facilities as expected. The staff make it - they are just excellent with no request being a problem. Restaurant and activity recommendations were no problem and Hassan booked tables or visits or taxis for us making the experience stress free. Having an airport pick up and drop off was really valued.

Nothing negative to say - we got what we expected and so much more with Hassan and his team who went beyond expectations.

Riad Tizwa had been recommended by a friend and it was a top recommendation. Hassan and Rouad were the most perfect hosts & were super helpful & accommodating. The Riad is located in the hustle and bustle of the Medina but once you are through the doors it is a quiet haven. My room was comfortable and exceptionally clean. There were thoughtful extra touches of a flask of hot coffee waiting outside your room each morning & local products in the bathroom. I dined on the rooftop twice and would recommend the beef tagine! Airport transfers can be arranged. I would very much like to return!

My room's bathroom was for my use only but along the hallway from my room. It wasn't a problem for me though & I believe there are other rooms with ensuite facilities if this is a deal breaker for you.

This Riad is Amazing. The Staff and Manager Hassan were super nice the entire time we stayed there. Super helpful with anything we asked. Hassan arranged a Van for us to go to the beach 2hrs away and the Taxi for the airport. Great tips on Restaurants and sites to visit in Marrakech. We loved it and we will come back! I recommend this Riad to anyone.

Location is very good, very quiet and look very secured. Breakfast is delicious, served by the always smiling and helpful Mouad, which is very welcome. We are always greeted with a flask of hot coffee when you open the door first thing in the morning. Hassan, the manager has been extra helpful even before we arrived. He facilitated our trip to Chefchaouen. We had dinner for 3 nights at the Riad. The cook is excellent. The tagine is better than the 5 star restaurant we went for our dinner on our first night at Marrakech.

A small riad nestled in the north west corner of the Medina, within easy reach of The Secret Garden, the main square and all of the Souks. Charming and courteous staff made our brief stay an amazing experience. Excellent recommendations for dinner and coffee too. The breakfast was lovely and served in the courtyard of the riad with small songbirds flitting around. We have no hesitation in warmly recommending this riad.
