Staff was lovely, had new bed sheets, towels and top up on toilet roll everyday although i would have like to be told before we stayed that they would clean your room everyday, it was still very nice clean and very polite staff, i would recommend to anyone to stay here, destination was in the middle of everything aswell.

just to have a do not disturb sign on the door so we could have a choice if we wanted our room cleaned or not, and that the staff knock your door while your in which scared me every time as could have been getting changed.

Private underground parking for motorcycles, which is one of two main reasons we chose this hotel as it is very hard to find in this city, the other reason is that it is right in the centre on Amsterdam. Its an ok hotel, but our main criteria were parking and proximity.

I cant comment on other rooms in this hotel, but our room probably came third in the "worlds smallest hotel room" competition, it was very tight, made smaller by the sloping roof, probably not helped by two blokes with a load of motorcycle gear being in it. Theres also not much in the way of amenities, theres a small room on the bottom floor with some chairs and a vending machine, but thats your lot!

Downtown Amsterdam is a beautiful place, but parking is VERY hard to find. This hotel offers parking! Huge difference maker! The three features offered by this hotel offers that were most important for me were: - affordable price per night - access to parking (40€ per day was about average across all hotels) - great location!! 20 minute walk to the downtown!! 3 minutes from a tram stop! For a hotel with parking access for an affordable price point , this hotel is as close as you're gonna get to the city center. Other places may be closer to the center, but they either don't have parking or it is twice the price! You are going to Amsterdam for the experience, the beauty, the city life. This hotel offers a safe place to stay whole you travel, 24hr desk staff, elevator, security cameras, locked garage.

The room is very modest. No amenities like a microwave or fridge. Very narrow for multiple people. But if you keep in mind the other advantages the hotel offers with it's great location, parking access, and it's affordable price point...that definitely makes up for the rather spartan amenities.

very good location near tram with comfy beds. We had 3 people on 3 twins separate beds. went in June so was hot but had enough windows to open for air flow. worth considering if you need AC. they did have a table fan in room. Traditional European sized bathroom. It is above 2 local bars/pubs nearby so could hear people outside talking so play white noise on phone if windows are open at night.

wouldnt provide more than 1 key card per room even when we asked. they have 24/7 desk service so was able to get let into room if we split up from the group.

The stuff was nice, the room was very clean, the location is perfect. We had enough room for our stuff, the toilet was in good state. We got the room cleaned every day.

The check-in time was delayed for about 20 minutes. After that, we were told we can't get the room we ordered that have 4 single beds and they have only room with a bunk bed. I had to insist and then wait another 20 minutes to get the room we ordered. This is on the hotel, but also on BOOKING.COM because you always need to make sure that the hotel have the room and the beds you offer the customer.

I recently stayed at Amsterdam Downtown Hotel in the center of Amsterdam. Overall, I had a positive experience during my stay. Firstly, the hotel staff were exceptional. They were friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to ensure that all of my needs were met. Secondly, the cleanliness of the hotel was good. The rooms were well-maintained and tidied up daily. The common areas were also kept clean and inviting. I appreciated the attention to detail when it came to cleanliness, as it made my stay more comfortable. One unique aspect of this hotel is that they have resident cats. As a cat lover, I found this to be a delightful addition to the overall ambiance of the place. The cats were friendly and added a homely feel to the hotel. However, if you have allergies or don't particularly enjoy the company of cats, it's worth considering this aspect before booking. In terms of the two-star rating, it's important to keep in mind that the facilities and amenities were relatively basic. Our room was small and didn't have all the luxuries you might find in higher-rated hotels. Overall, I would recommend Downtown Hotel in the center of Amsterdam. The exceptional staff, cleanliness, and the presence of cats made it a memorable and enjoyable stay. Just be aware of the limited facilities typically associated with a two-star rating.

It was great to be in the centre of the city with trams to choose from on the doorstep, the museums a short walking distance away and many shops of all kinds next door to the hotel. The Prinsengracht and the Keizergracht were a block away and offered lovely scenic walks. It was quiet in the hotel, although its locality is in the middle of Amsterdam life. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was great to have a little chat with the person on duty. Of course i had a favourite or two, but they were really all exceptional young people proud of 'their' hotel and their city. My room was clean, the water was warm and the bathroom wad very spacious. I heard no noise and was happy to come home to peace and serenity. The two hotel cats contributed to a feeling of homeliness.

I did not like the fact that a small quarter cup of hot - not boiling water- cost Euro 1,50. I would suggest to do what the British hotels fo. Place a kettle with tea bags and coffee with a cup in each room and let the visitor help him- or herself freely to it. It is sometimes very cold at night and even in the mornings it could be a good start to the day. it eould also be nice to have an extra blanket in the room in Autumn and in winter.

10/10! bathroom is small yet I’m a big lad and managed perfectly fine. Four of us shared room third floor. Stairs like step ladders but all adds to the charm of the building. Brilliant coffee shop the dolphin next door but one. Perfectly located close to lovely canals, tram lines and main road through Amsterdam centre. Red light is 11 minute walk roughly.

Only complaint bathroom smelt of smoke and light nearest window is faulty. Brilliant price for two nights

I booked a last minute trip to Amsterdam and was looking for a budget hotel I had read the reviews and wasn’t very hopeful but I was very pleased with this hotel it’s in a perfect location , it’s very clean and cosy it’s perfect for a few days , it also has 2 of the friendliest cats !! I’d really really recommend this accommodation

Nothing bad

Tiny but very convenient at a superb location just in the city center, walking distance to many restaurants and attractions. Although quite small, we were 4 people that shared a family room in the ground floor and are happy with it. The room as very clean and beds were comfortable for a good night sleep.

The hotel experience was as advertised and according to expectations so no low point during our stay.
