The location is fantastic and the hotel is beautifully refurbished. Also staff went the extra mile to help me celebrate my birthday, I was really touched, it felt very special.

Pity there is not a full restaurant yet, as I predict the food would be outstanding. Also it was not the quietest location - don’t expect a very peaceful night - right under the flight path and near a busy tram stop! However that is definitely manageable and the pay off is that everything is in walking distance or super easy via tram. Finally, advisory that the stairs are steep and treads narrow, due to it being a historic building, so may be tricky if guests have mobility issues. Hope this is helpful.

The service provided by the staff was second to none, with their warm hospitality and eagerness to cater to our every need. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. The hotel's location was a major highlight. Situated in a prime spot, we had easy access to all the attractions, restaurants, and shops we wanted to explore. It made our visit to the city incredibly convenient and enjoyable.

The staff and service is exceptional! This hotel went above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable during your stay. The restaurant remembered our previous orders, preferences, and even provided recommendations based on those previous preferences throughout the stay. The rooms are well-lit and the backside of the building facing the courtyard has great natural light and is very quiet. The atmosphere was very welcoming and professional. I was thoroughly impressed by the rooms, the breakfast and the hospitality. Superb hotel.

The building is an older building with a great location and facade; however, the staircases are steep and the steps are small so moving up and down the building can be challenging for children and older family members. Other than the stairs, there were no complaints or concerns.

The attention to detail in the decor and amenities is remarkable. The artwork really catches your eye. Exceptionally comfortable beds. The lobby is equally impressive, with tasteful furnishings and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff from the moment you ring the bell, is extremely friendly, professional, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. The check-in experience alone was worth a 10/10. We were escorted for welcome drinks in the bar with a garden view. Couldn't recommend this hotel enough, especially considering the competitors and their pricing in the area. You won't be disappointed. Superb.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Excellent location and friendly, helpful staff. The view on the canal was the most beautiful part of the stay. The staff is very nice and friendly. One night we were dining at a restaurant recommended by them, and while it sarted raining, one of the boys arrived there holding 3 umbrellas for us. We were very touched by their care. Thank you again!

I didn’t like the pillows. I didn’t like the fact that in one of the room we had a leakage, water drpping from the ceiling all night. I also prefer the old design of this hotel. The restauration was not succesful, in my opinion. It is a matter of taste, of course.

The property is located in a very central area and is a walkable distance to all major museums. The courtyard and general decor are done very thoughtfully and the hotel is in a quiet area. The staff are attentive and very friendly, and provide an outstanding service.

Two thing: breakfast menus do not have prices so you have no idea what you’re being charged for what you order until your checkout - on the first day we ate more but were charged less, on other days when we only ordered one main we were charged 16€ more for some reason. That being said; the breakfast was delicious. Also, please be aware that the hotel does not accept big euro notes and it is virtually impossible to find any bank which changes them for smaller cash without commission. It isn’t in their policy to reject 500€ or 100€ notes, however they do as they have no means of checking them. Shame really as it was a nuisance to find somewhere to change the cash!

Friendly, helpful staff (receptionists/doormen) especially the young German intern. When we asked for extra teabags they also offered and provided fresh milk and brought these to our room for us. Characterful old building overlooking Prinsengracht canal. Central location in easy walking distance of city centre and museum quarter and close to tram stop. Breakfast room is also available as a nice comfortable lounge during the day.

The canal view from our room was great - but had the downside of being noisy especially at the weekend as there are a couple of coffee shops and a nightclub on the opposite side of the canal; also some internal noise at night from pipes (plumbing or aircon?). Steep stairs up to our room (which was on the 2nd floor) weren't a problem for us, but would be for anyone less mobile.

Staff were attentive and very solicitous to our needs, especially as we had arrived for an overnight stay after a disastrous and exhausted transatlantic flight. Our room was luxurious and the bed was large and extremely comfortable. We did not have their celebrated breakfast but it looked delicious and, had we had the time, we would have definitely ordered it. The dining room remains open for coffee during the day and had a musician playing a concert harp there which is a wonderful and soothing feature. We liked the location as it was midway between the Old Town and the Museum Quarter and perfect for strolling along the canals.

We were treated like royalty!. The hotel is perfectly located. A few blocks from the museum sites and in the heart of the 9 streets district. (De 9 Straatjes). It was easy to get to everywhere, even on rainy days. Extremely romantic site with plenty of very good restaurants close by. We stayed in a wonderful cozy unit with a garden view. Absolutely silent at night. It was very easy to communicate with staff, all of whom were friendly, efficient, warm and accommodating. If you need anything at all, Andreas is the best.
