The Tannery is centrally located and within walking distance of many shops, restaurants and public transport. The room was beautiful, comfortable and offered a wonderful view for people/city watching during the day and night. You can walk to many popular destinations within 20-30 minutes or even shorter by bike! Roeland was a wonderful host and welcome to the city, who was kind enough to give us some tips for our stay.

My partner and I had a wonderful time and are without complaints but I will note if your not physically capable of walking up multiple flights of stairs, this property may not be for you.

Roeland was outstanding as a host, providing in-depth knowledge of places to see and even procuring us tickets to a sold out festival. He helped us with our luggage which was god sent. The room was made up every day with a fresh supply of drinks provided including beer and soft drinks. Location was central to everything and views were amazing. Probably the best host we've ever had and we have travelled quite extensively.

The steepness of the stairs might not suit those that have weak knees but worth the climb. We were on the 4th floor but perhaps the 3rd floor would suit those that are less inclined to use the stairs.

Roeland is a wonderful Host who did everything he could to make my short stay in Amsterdam amazing. He has great recommendations for places to eat and drink. He helps with suggestions for sightseeing and how to get there. The room is large and has a stunning view of the canal. The bed is very comfortable. The area is charming and full of interesting Boutiques and Cafes to while away the time but still close to all the main attractions.

Loved the comfy beds and super spacious room! Amazing location, walking distance to all the sights but cuter neighborhood. In a lovely historical canal house, that being said, the stairs are traditional as well so book otherwise if you do not feel comfortable on many narrow steep stairs. Roland, our host, was so nice and sent us many great recommendations as well. Would totally return!

This is an airbnB appartment. Which is not a "bad surprise" but not obvious in the description. So no breakfast service (although there is a coffee machine, kettle) + free soft drinks Apart from this, Roeland is particulary nice, shows a REAL attention and empathy. The room is large, confortable, very nice view on the canal. Roeland had a lot of nice attentions, and was very accomodant for letting our luggages in another flat, the day of departure The bathroom sink is little, but that's ok. The room is made and ordered every day, which is VERY nice. One thing to know : the room is on the second floor, no elevator and very steep stairs (which is often the case in Amsterdam) ==> it is very difficult to use if you have health condition or difficulty to climb stairs. The location is very good I recommend the place nonetheless.

The room was spacious and the decor was beautiful. We stayed for 4 nights, wish i booked longer. The bed was so comfortable had the best sleep and such peaceful views on the balcony. Great location with supermarket and shopping close by, i will be staying here again! Roeland was so helpful and a amazing host, thanks for the great communication and hosting us on this trip

I wasn’t aware of the accessibility of the property. The property is not overly accessible to people due to its steep stairways and our room being on the fourth. This wasn’t made aware to me until after we had completed booking the apartment. There also was no air conditioning which I failed to consider would be an option in summer.

Location was great and an authentic Amsterdam old building. Very comfortable bed and black out blinds gave us two solid nights' sleep. Roeland was most accomodating when we arrived close to midnight. Having asked about our preferences for eating, he made several recommendations for restaurants and made the booking for us when we made our choice.

Steep stairs - what you expect in an old building in Amsterdam!

Fantastic location, amazing host, comfortable bed, beautiful views. Location was perfect, the room was very aesthetically pleasing.

Bathroom was a bit small for a taller person like myself (the door couldn’t close while on the toilet because my knees stuck out past the threshold haha). Shower was a bit confusing at first to get temperature adjusted accordingly, but it was all very clean and nice and worked fine after some trial & error.
